Conversation with Walter Orange of the Commodores 

I got to meet the Orange brothers after a Commodores show In Tulsa Ok, They autographed a Drum Stick for me( which I am Drummer) and took time to talk with me and my Wife,They were so awesome! They were so gracious,Love these guys,Thank you for such a great evening!

Good to see Clyde doing well these days! I worked the "85 Nightshift World Tour and provided all the backline gear for a full year - got to travel the world for a year and had a blast! Lots of good memories that I'll never forget. They were all great guys and I knew them all except Lionel and Thomas McCleary!

Been long time fan of Commodores since 1970. I remember when Soul Train started...Lioed funk, loved your songs, music, enthusiasm. I stayed 36 24 36 for years...Love the music STILL. Met you at New York state Fair a few years as I did security there. Even invited you guys to home cooked dinner- you guys were more into the "wome"n..lol. Got all the albums, but need autographs again as I list my original collection in house fire. . Would Live to meet you all again..Skeet Lionel, Thomas, you guys get together 1 more time? Stay busy during this time...

Walter was always my favorite commodore when I was growing up. My 12 year old self used to be like… who’s the gorgeous chocolate brother on the end ? They put him in the middle when Lionel Richie left lol, and I remember everybody saying the Commodores ain’t gonna do nothing without Lionel. Then they dropped that Night Shift album! Walter led Brickhouse among other❤🥰🙏 jams from my memory. So I will ALWAYS him his flowers. Also when they perform live, they give their All! Walter really knows how to work a song.❤😍🫠

Hey Cody! I use to be neighbors with Walter. Ask him if he knew of a woman named Nina Ward. We were very close to his mom.
