Sir Viv represents the good old glory days of cricket. The way he walked on to the field with pride and determination said to the world "I'm here to do business and fly the Caribbean flag very high."Love you Sir Viv, you have done the people of the region proud.

This comment is from a cricket fan of this mighty West Indies team from early and mid 1980s. For me, cricket played today is a commercial version of the game. Especially the big joke called IPL. By the way, I was born and raised in Bangalore and later moved West... Purest form of cricket was played during the 70s, 80s and early 90s...But never after that...I have stopped watching cricket now. This man is a living legend of cricket, who played under a saint called Clive Lloyd who played under cricketing icons like the Kanhais, the Kalicharan....
the only man that richie benaud addressed as "the great man " .which shows what richie thought and if any body had a few clues about the game and the character of the men that played it, it was richie. have to acknowledge the skill of the interviewer .she has an insight into viv which few have also because viv feels as though he's talking to family it opens up into a side of viv i've never seen before .like the idea he was representing his people ,and the story about the london bus driver stopping and leaving his bus to pay his repects to viv ,is a killer ,just fantastic .
Sir Viv... U should know that U were/are worshipped & respected in India no less than the carribbean... Sachin Tendulkar openly admits & declares that U and Sunny were/are his idols & inspiration... U for Ur attack & domination of the bowling and Sunny for his compactness & solid defence... As a kid growing up in 70s & 80s in India I clearly recall kids of our generation having our cricket albums with many more magazine pictures of West Indian greats cut-pasted than those of players from the rest of the world combined! 👏 👏
Not at all, in my view. She brought out insights from the great man, which no male interviewer would have. The feminine touch was obvious and quite refreshing. my humble opinion.
