This is heartbreaking! It’s high time stiffer laws are put for such cases. And let’s all report such cases and protect our babies & loved ones. Please be aware of unusual signs from our children and make a safe space for them to talk to us. And also let’s educate our children about this. Amaka yampwa ine… I pray they both become stronger and stronger!🙏

These are common cases our African society don't talk about , and now it's not just the girl child that's a victim, a boy child is equally a victim now.

The fact that the man puts his own son at risk says so much about how rotten he is ...cause honestly every father would want to protect their son...he belongs in jail

As a GBV service provider working on Sexuap Gender Based Violence issues,I am glad this mother faught for justice for her daughter. We need brave people like her to tell their story and how just is possible for defilement cases( SGBV cases in general). It's sad to hear that the perpetrator didn't serve the full sentence ( and I know how discouraging that is for the survivor and family). Thank you for spreading awareness on how we can prevent and mitigate SGBV in our communities.
