I don't think it bothers her because she knows she really doesn't mean it iys just the dementia. You learn to take everything they say like a grain of salt.

I had to learn that the hard way when I was care-giver for my grandmother. She said some of the nastiest, hurtful things to me. Once I understood what was happening I just equated all that meanness to her way of expressing love.😂😂❤️
My sister had dementia Lord rest her soul her daughter took good care of her and she would cuss her daughter out like they say the ones that take care of them is the one they mistreat dementia seems like some kind of demonic dease all of a sudden they would outburst with this foul language...

@@dweakley1 yes Granddaughter Tasha definitely needs a break.Look into hospice,or respite.Try to get funding through agencies that will help pay for HH nursing,or care.I realize u might not want strangers in your home,and that Adult Day Care programs can be very costly.Maybe family,or friends can come sit with Mrs.Helen so u can have a rest,and regroup.Idk how you withstand the struggle on a daily basis 365 days a week 24/7.May the Lord bless,provide,and continue to sustain u.Tasha u are as rare as black pearls.🙏🏽and prayers from Flint,Mi.
Everyday is a episode with dementia ,my grandmother stops everyone and says she hasn't ate in weeks with a pack of cookies in her hands.I cherish every moment....

I didn’t grow up with grandparents so it’s a blessing to anyone who did My mom had dementia before she passed in 2019 and she was the same way, just gotta keep letting them know you love them This woman is so beautiful, reminds me of my mother!!!

She reminds me so much of my grandmother, who lived until a couple of months before 100 years old. She was feisty too, and told all of us off daily. She was so funny. I miss her so much. Enjoy your time with her.

I miss my granny 😢 🕊️ She passed 3 years ago & it still hurts!!!!!!!!! She had the beginning stages dementia. Most of the time she chill, laid back talking about the old days ☺️ Other days the verbal abuse, hurtful words. Telling me to call Tia but I’m standing beside her 😢 We took everything in & just tried to lighten the atmosphere. Rough!!!

I'm a carer and a support worker....I love this video and how raw it can get caring for someone, I look after people who says all sorts and it's all about knowing that they don't really mean it and not knowing what they are saying!! You keep doing what your doing someone told me the people who care for others no matter what there needs are....are angels ✨️

Reminds me a little of my great grandmother. She eventually came around liking me when I stopped pestering her. I still had to give her baths, insulin shots, breakfast made, clean her up and all regardless how she treated me. It was a family thing had to be done. PERIOD.
