If you have junk, old, or dead laptop , remove its camera and we can use as USB webcam for desktop pc or for cctv camera.Perfect for ZOOM and Google Meet video conference meeting..
Several years ago someone told me that there are surveillance cameras that are small like stamps and can be stuck anywhere as if they were postage stamps.
YES, Any USB commnon type A pinout connector but don't depend always on the wired colors instead follow the orientation connection on the pinout connector( positive , negative gnd , data+, data-) as shown on the video.
Don’t rely on the color or pieces of the wires, just focus on how to identify the 4 required pins configuration(V+,V-,D+,D-)some other wires are just replica of the 4 pins. Sometimes 2 twisted wires are the DATA+ and DATA - .
you are incredibly lucky! For the past ten years, ALL laptop cameras have been powered by + 3.3v !!! And connecting directly to + 5v from usb is fraught with burning out the camera into coals !!!
if you found twisted wires, they will be the Data wires tightly together. For ground, check the continuity of the wire to the copper on the board(screw mounting holes).Probably 1st or last wire is V+ positve.Once you test it and show up USB unrecognized on the PC swap the data wires.Other wires are for mic with sharing ground on the cam.
@@clarkopulencia4066 do I need the OTG cable? Can't I just wire the other end of the USB cable and plug directly into phone or tablet? I could see how this could easily be set up as wifi as well. Thank you
@@paulgla Most of phones require OTG cable but you can try as long as you can connect USB A (usb camera)to your phone or tablet through the micro usb or usb charging port.
