You need to take down your shields. The Slayer is an explosive round so when you hit your own shields and the shell explodes, you're just damaging yourself. This is probably what killed your own tank in front.
@@Paradox3713 No for some reason they took it away in 3.23. Now the C-788 is just a very crappy ballistic cannon. In 3.22 it did so little damage it was useless against ships but it was useful again infantry and ground vehicles with size 0 parts (in fact it was the very best anti-infantry and anti-ground-vehicle ship weapon).
@@Paradox3713 No problem. But yeah its sad the C-788 was my go-to for close air support (since it was still useful for that) but now that it has no blast damage it's not even good for that.
🎵It was June of 2961 Foxy had the biggest ship that had the biggest guns On her deck were tanks as big as ships with shells as big as Kopions 🎵 🎵🎵🎵 We'll find that Foxy captain that's makin' such a fuss We gotta sink the 890 'cause the verse depends on us 🎵🎵🎵
The gameloops you guys invent to amuse yourselves, are astounding. For the rest of us, the most exciting part of SC, is managing to find a common time to make it to "a" lobby, let alone do anything meaningful together!
He didn't invent it. There's older videos of other people doing this. I used to do this with the people I played with a while back. You can actuality fit 3 tanks on there.
@snowmind, Thank you! It was just a fun idea, but glad it turned out to be a really fun event. And this is the beauty of this game, it can go as far as your imagination goes.
Brings me back to the days of shooting railguns out the side of a Cutlass. Except bigger. I'm just gonna be the guy who reminisces about the days of old in your comments section.
890 Tonk is my favorite activity. Just wish there was a way to reload them once on the ship. Would have loved to do this in Xenothreat. Using a Tobii eye tracker or a head tracker in these battles is a real benefit.
Now that I got that out of the way. I love the work. Manually leading the shots is the way to go. Used to have to do that in my Connie when it had the bug that it wouldn't target lock. Hard AF.
Would another Tonk fit on the cargo elevator? Or a Ballista, or the other one ... whatever the pew-pew variant is called? Can't wait for the Liberator. edit: Would have loved to see an outside view from a close spectator ship.
How did you get the tanks up there? Tractor ship? Have you considered using Storm tanks? You dont have to worry about ammo with those. Also, you had enough room for three tanks.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QhrOe9oQHmA.html This video will show you how to load tanks on 890, and yes you can fit 3 thanks there.
I swear the hull HP of the 890 is bugged. Any collision will kill it and it dies very quickly to ballistics even with full shields. Anyone else experience this?
0:37 wtf that ammo speed makes no sense. So let me get this straight, a RAILGUN developed with technology 900 years into the future, has a muzzle velocity that is slower than the short M3 75mm gun found on early M4 Shermans in WWII??? For reference, the 75mm M72 AP-T shell fired from Sherman's M3 gun had a muzzle velocity of 619m/s and it barely penetrated 100mm RHA at 90 degrees at 100 yards. For another reference, M829A4 APFSDS fired from modern Abrams tanks has a muzzle velocity of 1600+m/s, which isn't even the fastest velocity of modern tank guns.
