Converting Between Moles, Atoms, and Molecules

How many atoms in 5.5 moles? How many moles is 4.6 x 10^24 sulfur atoms? We'll solve problems like these, where we convert back and forth between moles and the number of atoms or molecules that we have. We'll be using both a common sense approach, and also a standard conversion factor method. We'll learn how to use a scientific calculation to do this math, and we'll see how to round our answers with scientific notation and significant figures.

Yet again, I'm paying a huge amount of tuition at school for a class.....only to turn to you and learn it for free and be able to pass the test. I hope somehow you are being "paid" and rewarded for your helpful, clear, work. You are so dedicated, setting it up so nicely and clearly and taking so much time for us, your students. Thank you.

The toughest thing about science, for me, are the books. Brilliant people who are poor writers of complex concepts, often make it more difficult to understand. Who knows how many amazing scientist have been lost, simply due to discouragement from poor writing. Most scientist are not writers, you, however, may posses the ability to change this phenomena. Have you written any text books?
