Mega facts I used to be up till 5 am recording elusives on my tape deck with stretch and Bobito and martin moore and mayhem them days can never be duplicated..
This guy's hood story telling ability is reminiscent of B.I.G...jesus christ...I get the same chills listening to Conway's music like I'm listening to 93-94 B.I.G🔥🔥
Might sound like Blasphemy but I think this dude got a serious 1 Up on Biggie. Biggie had the opportunity to lace us with crazy wordplay and did but look at how much of his work was made to be toned down and radio friendly. Puffy was trying to keep Big more shiny suit radio friendly with Tracks like MO money MO Problems than tracks BIG wanted more of like Somebody's Got To Die. BIG was and is a GOAT no doubt but based of his small body of work he didn't really get a chance to empty his clip of bangers he had lined up.
Man this kinda music ain't for everybody and not for everybody to understand. This is real life situations when growing up in them boxes.. My real ones know what it is.. 🙌🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥
100% Hes in my top 3 with Big L and Nas..... And i might even have to put him at the top of the list.... Big L's catalogue is small and he got taken out before he really got that chance to GO IN....and Nas came out the gate with two INCREDIBLE albums but then he started regressing..... EVERYTHING Machine drops is straight fire and he just keepa getting better with time.....And his out put...the pressure he's applying to the game is incredible. And he's kept it 100% authentic underground with no commercial influence to his music One of the best to ever do it, no question
Jane Doe it’s aight queen, you can have some of my love. You don’t have to know someone to support them. I bet you great asf , sometimes it intimidate people so they separate themselves from you , but in reality, you are the preferiti . One love, the realest are still out chea
I feel this, I was also very disappointed with rap today, Conway opened up a new door for rap for me, and he's releasing songs up to date, respect my bruh
SON IS NICE BUT MAX IS REALLY NEXT LEVEL.. MY WIFE COME FROM THE NEXT ROOM WHEN I PLAY MAX AND FIGURE OUT THE SONGS AND DOWNLOAD THEM FOR HER OWN PERSONAL COLLECTION. THATS WHEN I KNOW SHIT IS HOT.
THIS COMMENT SECTION IS WHAT PURE ART IS ALL ABOUT. WHY CANT WE COME TOGETHER IN THIS WORLD TO BRING CHANGE THE SAME WAY WE'RE BROUGHT TOGETHER IN PEACE HERE IN THE COMMENTS. DO SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE TODAY AND BE EMPATHETIC 🙏🏻 GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU I PRAY YOU FIND PEACE AND HAPPINESS
I hate that people think these cats talk about THIS LIFE to sound cool and all that. Nearly on every Griselda song they make you think twice about the life. Each one of them speaks about their dead homies, missed opportunities, broken hearts. I rather have my friends with me than success in the rap game. Dave East is another example on this. These dudes are heartbroken. Salute GxFR and the real ones.
Doubt you'll read this but I was the long haired white guy in the front for the 2019 show at Varsity Theater that had a seizure. Apparently it was likely COVID and heat exhaustion but this was the way beginning of COVID (only a few confirmed in US) so I had no way of knowing since I was over the flu symptoms for a month. I'm all good now. Hopefully I wasn't a super spreader. I really appreciated your show of concern and it felt sincere. People may say Griselda getting soft for this but they kept it real with a heartfelt song that's leaves you wanting more for yourself. Still they're not hating on anyone doing their thing to provide. This isn't going "mainstream" though I wish it got the shine it deserves. This is leaving a legacy. Conway turned a very tragic thing into a source of inspiration and that's beautiful which is what music is all about. Much respect from Minneapolis. Keep paying forward. Hope you come back soon. I've seen a lot of really good and unique shows of all different genres but the Griselda show was top 3 for sure. Best rap show by far. Very unique but not in a gimmicky way at all. These guys got it all: old school sampling, fresh shit, heavy lyricism, consistent delivery, audience participation and artwork. Most people may not appreciate this but I do: you have to establish and maintain yourselves as relatable to reach those that need the message most. Not in a fake way at all it just comes natural because you guys are the realist. Get well soon Benny. I know that ain't shit.
There hasn’t been a hip hop song like this in a very long time that has made me emotional. I can feel Cons pain on this one. Don’t listen to people that say dudes being emotional on a song are soft because they are cornballs. This is what a real artist does and it doesn’t matter the genre. If it doesn’t make you feel something it isn’t worth listening to. Big ups to Conway dude is a legend and not even in his prime yet.
RIP Shay. Conway and the Griselda crew are hands down the best thing to happen in hip hop for the last two decades. TRUE LEGENDS and FKTG is a classic piece of hip hop music. Been tapped in since 84 and now at 51 years old I still get excited when I can look forward to projects from Griselda. And these guys deliver. I hope GDMM gets a vinyl release at they've been let down by Shady records so far with no wax to show but we live in hope. Shady gets the bozsack. Keep them classics comin Conway. Your status is certified. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👊🇬🇧.
Bro, I'm 2 year older but same story here. Im happy I can still be excited and fulfilled by a new Hip-Hop Album in 2020. For the last 5 years it was GRISELDA, and this year, Roc Marciano and Jay Electronica dropped some crazy shit as well. I feel blessed.
Eric Sermon and Roc. Aw man...the beat is beautiful! Shyt sound like some old school Isley Brother, Parliment Funk with a California swing to it. 😁🔥🔥🔥🔥
If "juvenile hell" is a 10/10, this ones a 11/10. Him & his cousins releasing some of the most groundbreaking, important art in music in the past 20 years. Not just hip hop.... music... art... culture. In a era & world full of facades, realness like this is a threat. They fucked up by letting this seep through the cracks. Now its too late. Its Griselda takeover!💥💥💥
This video is so real. Love the ending. R.I.P. to DJ Shay. Griselda literally brought New York Hip Hop back on its feet. Salute to Conway, Benny, Westside Gunn, and all the people up in Buffalo New York.
“For a week str8 I cried, I’m Forever droppin tears but I know I got an angel in the sky” Conway is a lyricist and one of my favorite rappers. The whole Griselda crew on a whole other level. Can’t wait for El Camino to drop another album.
Why do white rappers get signed having a message behind their raps, but black rappers get signed and talk about bitches, drugs, and money. Because its all controlled and has been forever.
Whatever your going through in this world there is hope and you have a purpose and destiny. Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is the way the truth and the life. Choose righteousness, God loves u!
Conway and the whole crew finally gettin the flowers they deserve! and still riding for all those that fell along the way making sure its known the Influence they had on the whole movement. Big respect GFxR legendary
Honestly...everytime I hear this song now I cry dawg. Niggas could be headed to work, chillin at the crib, or working out it doesn't matter. You listen to the pain in Conway's voice and you can't help but breakdown. GOD BLESS THE DEAD 🙏🏾
My pops been gone 8 years today was his bday. This shit hit me. Forever droppin tears for the loved one n friends lost. Natural and unnatural. Griselda droppin instant classics steadily. We lucky fr. Much love to everyone going through it.
