I heard it off of Family Guy when I was little (I'm 15 now) I always liked rock, classic rock, and metal, but I had a soft spot for country and when Family Guy played this song it sounded so familiar I went up stairs, looked at some of our old records and found this xD
My God this song makes me want to cry the melody and his voice is gold! It shows you how pathetic this generation of music is it's all autotune nonsense when this is just pure raw music straight from the soul it's warm while today's music is just robotic and cold no feeling
Eh, its popular depending on where you are and who you know I don't listen to as much country as i do techno and metal but, I still enjoy it occasionally. You're correct in saying punk rock and rap aren't as good but sadly my generation is hooked into it. I prefer songs with meaning and i'm sure everyone else here does as well. :)
@CanadianSamurai1 Well people don't see what country music has to do with heart and ppl nowadays just want to have fun and get party adrenaline, do drugs, get laid (not saying that country music wouldn't cause it is romantic), and pass out in some alleyway with some steroids while off somewhere someone's listening to this song and keeping it cool, society is hard to understand sometimes
@will spence please re-write that because if you said rap is ruining society you are wrong. Not all rap is destructive to society. Rap is street poetry.. Roses grow from concrete. Don't be ignorant enough to bash hip hop without knowing that there is real hip hop out there. You just listen the mainstream hip hop on the radio but there is real shit out there.
AM I the only person on this planet that didn't get this song from Family Guy, I love country music, the sad thing is all the people are smitten over Punk Rock and Rap, this is the real stuff here, but it's not popular, I mean this video gets like, a thousand views every month, that is not a good ratio, not at all
