Video of I See The Want To In Your Eyes. Interpreted by unexcelled Conway Twitty, the best Country Music singer of all the times. wonderful! Fox Television right image.
I'm Brazilian, I decided to rewatch the entire Family Guy series and in season 7, episode 9, I thought this song was beautiful. Brazilian greetings 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
@@zacharyschafer9493 Yes I'm brazilian. My name is Raphael Mescolin, I was born in the state of Minas Gerais, located in southeastern Brazil, on the border with Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo
@@zacharyschafer9493 I have a slight feeling somewhere in the back of my head that he is indeed Brazilian. It's kinda hard to read between the lines but I think there are some subtle hints giving it away.
I love the fact that Seth Macfarlane loves Conway so much he knows the only way the youth would listen is in family guy. There are those that watch and have to look up Conway because they hear how great he is.
Wow another great one. I stayed with my grandparents alot. I use to watch them dance around the kitchen. I am now 43 and they both passed 4 years ago. I missed those moments and never appreciated them till now.😢
If I could have taken one thing away from Family guy to keep with me forever it's Mr. Conway Twitty Love the guy ever since that first "Hello darling" 😂😂 Ladies and gentlemen... Mr. Conway Twitty 💯👌❤️😂
@@cosmicdonkey3808 For me it would be Randy Newman,Even though I love Conway Twitty And even bought Conway Twitty greatest hits album And finally downloading his complete Discography because of Family Guy. First I saw a Randy Newman on family guy then found out he’s sings you got a friend in me and third I saw him live at the Oscars singing we belong together, Which is now my all-time favorite Randy Newman song after I heard the original version! Like Woww...Thank you family guy for passing on great styles of music! And the “dancing in the streets” music video lol
I have to admit, I did come from Family Guy. But, after listening to a lot of his music (this being the first song I heard from him after watching the episode with this song in it), this man made beautiful music. He was very soothing, very powerful with his words, and just plain amazing to listen to. This song is probably my favorite from him. Very bittersweet, very beautiful.
Exactly. True feeling in his lyrics and music. I know Seth McFarlane is a huge music fan and is very talented at singing so he used this as a reference in family guy to be funny but also get people interested in classic country music.
Same here when I was a teenager I used to listen to now I'm 56 years old and I appreciate it more now than I did then such a rare talent country music didn't know what they had back in the day and on top of that he was a gorgeous man
By far one of the greatest voices in country music history. Conway Twitty was a rare talent. This is one of the best live performances I've seen. He was one of those few that always sounded better live than in studio. Check out his 1990 performance of "It's Only Make Believe" if you still don't believe. He was in his late 50's and in declining health, and still NAILED it.
Quite frankly, idc if family guy brought you here or whether you're a country bumpkin. Just as long as you enjoy the song. I grew up listening to these songs, so it's nostalgic to me
Conway was legit whiteboy smooth. My aunt always told me a story of when he toured thru Jacksonville and she met him after show and he tried gettin her to “come with him”. Lol.
When Conway died, mama came driving high speed to my house squealing tires and bawling. It took her a minute to catch her breath to tell me what was wrong. I looked at her in a full mess and said Mama it's okay if you wanna tell me that Conway was my real Daddy. She stopped crying long enough to laugh herself back into tears.
That was awesome, I was waiting for you to say her response was I'm sorry you had to find out this way. Would have been classic if she was who the song was about. Lol. Or maybe she really was.😯
Thank you, Seth McFarlane, for introducing people of all ages to the under appreciated music of Conway Twitty, who slept with more married women than I will ever meet, while donning one of the worst haircuts in human history.
Listening to Conway Twitty was always a big part in our family. We enjoyed every song from him. My Mom had a few favorite of him. Sadly she passed away yesterday morning. Now I am sitting here and listening to his songs again and can't help but crying my eyes out missing my Mom and my Dad. Mom and Dad, you are back together again... we all will always love you and miss you.
Im a 29 year old black guy from detroit. My music taste is vast, but never got too deep into country. BUT CONWAY FUCKING TWITTY. I HAVE THIS ON REPEAT. Seth Macfarlane is a treasure in more ways than one.
My grandma would always listen to Conway cassettes when she would pick me up from school and it made me a huge fan of every song he has. Who else today could absolutely rip this performance live like Mr. Conway Twitty? Nobody!
I see the sparkling little diamond on your hand It's plain to see that you've already got a man I can tell you're not about to fall for any of my lines I see the want to in your eyes Deep in your smile there's a quiet, soft desire Like the ember of a once raging fire You know I could light that fire again You know it isn't wise I see the want to in your eyes How strong is a band of gold Is it strong enough to hold When a love has grown cold And a woman wants a love, sweet and warm How many women just like you have silent schemes How many men like me do they sleep with in their dreams You can stay or you can go and although I sympathize I still see the want to in your eyes I see the want to in your eyes
I never thought I'd love a country music song till I saw and heard this masterpiece...it's the melody and his facial expressions while he sings it, that gets me straight down to the my soul.
Just because Family Guy brought people here shouldn't be upsetting to old school country lovers. I grew up on Conway, and have known about this from my grandma, so when I saw it on Family Guy it brought back so many memories. You guys cannot forget that Seth MacFarlane is an AMAZING singer and highly respects the greats like Twitty. He is a man of great taste, they were not making fun of him, it was a "distraction" and the fact he got so many people who never knew him or wouldn't normally listen to thisto come back and sit through the entire thing is what is funny. THAT is the joke people. Lol
totally agree wit u my auntie loved Conway Twitty made us all listen to him b4 her death and as u said brought memories and emotions that made me actually become a fan he say some real things outta his mouth
My Dad had a bunch of VHS tapes with Conway shows on them. They were mixed in with my cartoons so sometimes I’d end up watching them. Then years lately family guy kept plugging him in the show. Now today I hear on the radio one of his grandchildren is playing a tribute show here in town. Somehow Conway has creeped into every decade of my life so I feel I must make a pilgrimage to this performance. 😑 I didn’t choose the Twitty life, the Twitty life chose me.
I'm 58 now and I still think Conway is the shit! As a child to see him or him and Loretta on Hee Haw on Saturday night was a thrill. Even through the 80s he was the man.
People say music evolves and each generation doesn't understand the next but honestly from a technical standpoint, modern music lacks genuine instruments and decent vocals. At least Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers could hold a note. The new garbage isn't even singing, just noise with a lot of synthesized instruments. I'm saying that and I'm much older than the two examples, because their music were the last gen to sound at least catchy.
you cant stop and i cant either because it is a devastating conway performance...i often listen to this song 2 or 3 times because it just destroys you...true art!!!!
honestly , when i first saw this on family guy my first reaction was "oh my god. please , not him again. not another one of these." and i laughed at his name. but then i actually listened to the lyrics and i was like "....holy shit. THIS IS AMAZING".... and then laughed at his name some more.
TheWinkstyle i know , right. family guy has a way of making you realize things you THOUGHT you hated , you actually don't or shouldn't. :P but this song seriously is cool. even the lyrics. =)
thanxx I grew up on Conway, George Jones and Ronnie Milsap. This music never gets old. Today’s country music is to much like Pop music. Versus like the one you posted unfortunately are just an ember, but it still burns within a few of us.
There will never be another Conway Twitty, aka Harold Lloyd Jenkins. Not even his son or grandson can hold a candle to what Conway was to traditional country music. I know he started in Rock & Roll, but country music needed him more. I had the privilege of seeing him in person in 1974, and I believe it was 1987 or 88.
Discovered this song through Family Guy. Made me cry the first time I listened. The joke for the context of the show was over 10 seconds into the clip. They could have cut it there. But I think Sethe McFarlane legitimately wanted people to hear this clip. The 3rd pre-chorus makes me tear up everytime. The power in his voice. He's almost screaming those notes. It's incredible.
American classic country music is very popular amongst a lot of indigenous Australians ( mostly the older one's now ) the younger generations go for hip hop and r and b stuff, but to me - I think these older style Country Music stars from America are fantastic talents and are a irreplaceable and rare sound. Although it was mostly purely a music thing - not really about who these artists were personally. All that mattered was that great sounding style of music and singing. In Australia, it was Slim Dusty as a favourite country music choice.
Have been loving this singer since the 70s (born in '73). He is incomparable...Staggering genius of country. My grandparents LOVED him. Eight track tapes in the Lincoln were almost all Conway. He was everywhere in the 70s - just tearing hell out of the radio and tv. Funny Aside: I remember mentioning him to my dad way back then and his sole reply, verbatim, was "he has a head like f'n Frankenstein, son." HAHAHAHA. I'd hope that Mr. Twitty himself would find that funny, too. I'll always miss you, Conway. Say hello to my sweet grandparents, Buck and Bootsie, while you're at it. They're up there dancing to your music.
EL POEMA DEL PAPU: gracias por tanto, perdón por tan poco. A veces te canto y a veces te lloro. Te me fuiste sin razón y a decir verdad seguirás en mi corazón. Cuando camine por la ciudad estarás ahí siguiéndome, y yo seguiré pensándote, adiós Papu con cariño, te extrañare mucho, vuela alto.
Saw it on Family Guy, what a great song. I’m mostly a metal head but I like anything that is good. Coming home baby by Quincy Jones another great song that I first heard in the mini-series Queens Gambit.
Conway Twitty, The Panty Melter. 😂 This song started running through my head, this morning, so I had to listen to it as quick as possible. 😂 Conway Twitty had an amazing voice. R. I. P. Conway. Gone but never forgotten.
I’m 18 and I came here from family guy, I smile every time he appears in an episode 🥰 he has such a nice voice. I’m definitely gonna be listening to his music a lot from now on ❤
Whatever anyone thinks about the moral or message of this song, nobody can say that this is anything but a first rate performance. CT looks like he means every single word and the fact that his facial expression hardly changes as he looks straight into the camera only adds to the power of the song.
My dad used to play Conway songs all the time...first seeing this on Family Guy brought all that back. Bob Myers and Conway Twitty were both awesome, may they rest in peace!
Conway was my grandmothers favorite artist. I can always listen to him because a. He was that damn good and b. I can remember my grandma. Both r.i.p. =(
