I tried this recipe tonight. I was very happy with it but would just like to mention that all eggs are not created equal. My mixture was more runny than in the video, presumably because my eggs were larger. This didn't effect the final taste but the biscuits were thinner. Next time I'll add a bit more icing sugar or cocoa in order to replicate the consistency shown in the video. Thanks for the recipe! Great to have on hand for those times when guests come over at short notice and I have nothing to offer. 😁

This recipe is great, quick, easy and tasty but since it is sooooooooo sweet, I recommend sprinkling on a bit of flakey sea salt on top of the cookie before you bake it to help balance everything

Merci! This is the base with slightly different ratios my mother in law taught me. Her recipe includes chopped walnuts though, and is delicious. Yours looks yummy too!

I use to make these at a bakery ,but pecans was also added to them . The pecans were added last and then the whole thing mixed high speed paddle(short time).The pecans broke down(short burst when mixing it up). They were crunchy and chewy with pecans and the oil of pecan gave it more of a gloss. They were called "chocolate chewys " .It was a simple recipe but had to be the right ratio and mixing it the right amount of time. I had a women follow me from my previous bakery to the new bakery just to get so many dozens of these cookies made and sent them back then to the a squadron her son was stationed in Kuwait during that War. I use to put more pecans in my mix when the recipe called for less. Mined looked so beautiful ,something about the pecans made these cookies look so good with the right amount. I wish I wrote the recipe down, but I was over this job and threw away or forgot a lot of the recipes. I am sure with trial and error can reproduce this cookie the way it looked back when I made it.

Even though it didn't keep it's form and I accidentally cooked it on broil this is delicious. It was like a sheet pan brownie. Genius it only had cocoa powder sugar and egg whites because I was all out of flour. Will make again.

Ok, I did try the recipe and decrease the sugar using 50g less, therefore 130g since 180 seemed too much to me. The cookies don't look that good...no cracks, kind of all flat...maybe because I decreased the sugar it made the mixture more liquid? The taste was nice though, I added cinnamon. I will do them again since I found them nice!

Just made them but without anything to measure cups or weight, and with 100% cocoa powder (so it's not too sweet). The look is different, I didn't get the crunchy outside, but they are really good !!!
