Mmmmm, cardamom is good in baked goods, like pumpkin pie and apple pie & breads and rice pudding (Scandinavians use if often, as do Indians) it goes so well with other spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. I like porridge sweet, of course, with milk, sugar or honey & some cinnamon. The wheat porridge we usually call "cream of wheat" or my parent's called it 'pap' or 'pablum'. It's easy to digest & soothing on the stomach. In the US, we usually eat oat porridge/oatmeal, but cream of wheat & cream of rice are common too, as is corn porridge. I've always wanted to try millet and sorghum porridge as well. ❤

I love hot porridge but with cold milk or coconut milk. I love that you put in cardamom. I will surely do that and maybe a little cinnamon. You could also try a little bit of meshed ripe banana. We normally have cassava porridge with meshed ripe banana and thick coconut milk. But like I said, I want try yours exactly as you did it.

Omg! Thats my favorite spice. In America we call it cardamon pods. We have so many different types of porridge. My favorite is milk dumplings. You make tiny dumplings out of eggs and flours, pour into milk with sugar and cardamon, serve hot or cold. German dish.
