Be careful not to turn your farmland to worm castings, it happens when worms get the fertilizer to 150%. You can dig up the castings and they're great fertilizer, and it doesn't consume the worms, but it does destroy the farmland block in the process

You can think of the ore bodies as disks...sometimes they are flat, other times they are tilted, so it's always good to check around he initial chunk that is easily visible. You don't get a better yield if you use a tool to harvest, but just so you know, once you get rich with tools...the axe is the fastest harvesting tool! You're getting a great start :)

I've had 3-4 comments telling me to use a hoe to harvest for better yield. I've tried it and am not convinced. That's in a future episode. I'm behind on watching your series and need to find time to catch up. Thanks for watching!

Darnit, i was about to say that we didnt see any snakes, and that you need to pick up more rocks :) But yea they do bite, i always get more snakes then worms in my world.

You can make support beams to stop mines collapsing on you. But I think you need a saw for that. It is a strange block you drag and stretch it!

Good to know! I've also found a trick with ladders in a vertical shaft that helps.

@@KerboOnYT Yeah, you need a saw and debarked logs to make support beams. And you just place and stretch them across the rock face where you expect collapse from.

Are you using Vanilla Plus and Rivers mod to get rivers in your world gen? I can't get rivers to work and I think I tried 10 different world gens. I'm using lots more mods that you but they should not have any effect on world gen

Yes, I used the mods in the description. Have you flown around and looked for rivers? It's possible there aren't any close to your spawn.
