So sorry the raccoon got into your garden containers..I have had to change my way of thinking that they need to eat too..this is after having my chickens for 15 years and having many taken over the years by a Fox-Deer eating my tomatoes, rabbits eating my lettuce, a vole eating all my very well established sun choke bed so I do understand the complete frustration. I now have made several changes now to try yo prevent all this. I love making foods from scratch never attempted to make cereal though..My three sons are all adults living on their own so I don’t need to so many things from scratch like I use to. I did just make homemade English muffins a few days ago..I’m not paying $3.99 and up for Thomas English muffins and I live pretty far away from a Aldi where I would pay $1.29..these type of skills is how we can still enjoy our favorite foods without paying the high inflation. I will try your pretzel recipe..I have only made them once and was completely disappointed with the end result way to salty and couldn’t eat them.

I totally agree they do need to eat too! what changes have you made to prevent this besides growing more food to share? I would love extra tips! I try to make most of our foods homemade when I can, due to not only inflation but ingredients as well. Its so hard to find things with clean ingredients these days!

@@richmondsplace - for critters we free range our chickens with supervision. sounds crazy I know. But in order to keep them safe -because they give us eggs every single day its worth it to me to babysit them. I now have a cover over their fenced in run when not free ranging. I planted in different areas .. Im now spilling over onto my dads property.. a boom stick helps the squirrel population from eating all the fruit from my mature fruit orchard.

@@Fritz0616 We free range our chickens too, we lose some here and there but we still do it because they’re happier and the eggs taste better too when they free range.
