I'm not even kidding watching all your ramen feasts over the years, I've become quite addicted (and creative) with mine! I discovered a huge asian grocery store in my area and I always go crazy when I go (although half the stuff is written in korean or chinese so I've had a few bad experiences... ahah)
Lol I'm glad you enjoyed all the ramen videos! I was worried I made too many.. Brave to just grab foreign ingredients like that! Good luck with your next adventure, and hope you find some good tastes
7am for me , what a way to open my day , thank you for the content ! Edit : dont apologize over making to much ramen videos , apologize for not making enough , love them
Looks delicious! Huge fan of ramen myself, although I do it the fat American way: Cheap maruchen chicken ramen, chipotle mayo, taco blend cheese and a touch of butter. Gonna start making dishes similar to this though! Edit: Never quit RU-vid man, sounds like you have a fantastic family. I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m sure most will agree that we love your stories. They way you speak when sharing your stories is almost like listening to romance, haha. You can really tell how in tune you are with life in general, and your love towards life’s small details really shines in your stories. You offer a unique and refreshing perspective that you don’t see often, I think that’s why a lot of us come back. It’s like therapy. It’s really easy to get caught up in day to day life and feel out of touch, or generally disconnected. I think listening to you really brings me back and re-centers me, something about watching someone who deep down, sees the big picture and lives by it does that for me. I know it sounds corny man, but a lot of us are going through hard times, and I just wanted to thank you for sharing yourself to the world, we could use more guiding lights.
This was amazing to read Mak, thank you so much for telling this to me. I think youtube really did open me up, and I'm so fortunate to have this loving supportive community. I'm able to feel free and it's so therapeutic for me as well to just get some of my thoughts out there, and you guys are so kind for just listening and appreciating what I have to say. It has just been such an incredible journey so far. Much love man. I'll have to try out your ramen recipe sometime! that sounds so good.. Never thought about adding mayo in there!
the thing i love most about your videos and...well...you is that you are so calm and laidback, chill. and yet you have this huge explosive personality (in a good way obviously). and that smile, it's like..."hi. it's me. everything is good, everything is ok. let's all just lay back and relax and laugh" and i love it. also there's nothing wrong with ramen. ramen is *life* also also you're hair is awesome
Thank you so much Arkness, that is really kind of you to say. It makes me feel really warm that you get that feeling from my videos. Haha yes ramen is definitely life!
Definitely missing the lunch box vids !!!! Nothing wrong with hard work. Good for the soul. Follow your dreams and if it can’t be a career it can still be a passion. Thanks for this. Loved it.
Hey David, just wanted to say thank you for making my day just a little brighter, can't lie that I'm holding tears real hard while writing this, going through a dark period over here, and hearing you helps that just abit, so for that I thank you.
Alex hang in there man. I'm sorry we haven't been able to talk as often. Just know that things will work out, and all these tough times that you have you will get so much stronger from them. Stay strong, keep that fire in your heart.
I’ve been eating mama tom yum noodles for years and absolutely love them. Saw this and decided to shake it up a little bit just by adding an egg and some veggies. It’s crazy how much better it can make a simple dish just by adding a few things! Love your little stories and anecdotes in these videos too, really really interesting and informative stuff! Thanks Daboki! :) Quick edit: I would love to see a video with the mama Tom yum again, maybe adding some stuff to it and little extras!
i'm not really a gamer, so i pretty much only watch the food videos. so happy to see you cooking again! was wondering how long after your move back west would be til we get to see another cooking video. i liked the "travel" videos you did showing all the beautiful landscape on your way. you've got your own style mukbang videos. please make more!! 😘
Aw thanks Kim chee, love your name btw. Appreciate you still hanging around even though I mostly just put up gaming videos. I hope to get a more variety in
YOOOOO! IM LATE BUT THE COOKING VIDEOS ARE BACK! I've said this before but these are MY personal favorites when it comes to your videos. Hope to see more! Edit: Dont know if you'll even read this, but we still editting. Even though you aint the cheffeist, we appreciate the creativity and vibes you give out when you're cooking, which is one of the reasons why your cooking videos are so enjoyable
Little late on the video, but little does David know that his super old gourmet ramen cooking video is how I discovered his channel in the first place... then I realized he also played maplestory. I had fun discovering and binge watching your videos David :) (Still waiting on a raging love remaster hehe) (Also that blowing into the egg method was pretty neat... but I’m too scared to try it myself lol)
I never thought of trying new things with ramen. I really love 🍜 ramen!!! You inspired me to try the super hot noodles X 2! I will be totally honest you made it look so good, I had to back out. I was eating it at work... and I am a dispatcher. Meaning I am at the officer/unit convince. Lol I ended up losing my voice but I will try again I recently am enjoying hot or spicy foods now. You totally inspired me to get the TAKI (which I just got in the mail so I’ll experience) and to be artsy with my noodles. If you learn your fathers recipe I will definitely give it a try. Post a video of one of your fathers great dishes!!
oh no lol! I could imagine that being a difficult food to eat as a dispatcher! wow, well I commend you for liking spicy foods at that level! Good luck with your spicy adventures :D Appreciate you watching and staying tuned~
That's about twice the number of ingredients I put in my ramen and everyone I know always talks about how I overcomplicate ramen. A fellow connoisseur I see. Personally I like to separate my egg yolk and whites, cook the whites like egg drop soup and place the yolk in last. If you haven't already, try Neoguri + Korean curry powder as your soup base. Really flavorful but could get too salty if you put too much of either. I totally feel you on the ramen memories. I went on retreats and went camping with friends a lot in the past and eating Shin ramen cup noodles at odd hours of the day are often the most memorable part, even if cup noodles is one of the most boring ways to eat ramen.
Love your videos, also looking forward to more maplestory videos even if you dont have new content! Would be down to just watch you do dailies and just talk
i’m so glad you brought up the egg stabbing/blowing fiasco, i kept thinking of it in this video until you mentioned it. i also freaked out my family when they caught me doing it, but hey, it worked!
Wow when you mentioned you blowing the egg in your first cooking with daboki video I remember copying you and trying out that technique for myself 😂😂 that was suuuuch a long time ago
I’m from the Caribbean, if my mom saw me eating out of the pot she would throw a fit. That’s an absolute no no. You’re video was awesome but made me feel a bit anxious 😅
6:38 Look at these nudes??? HAHAHA😂😂😂 So glad to see more cooking videos! Been lacking some DaBoki content for a while so I was so happy to get a notif from you David! Hope you're doing well and hope to see more YT (and twitch) videos in the future!
And I get what you say about someone feeding you. I cook for just myself but I always make extra to share with neighbors and coworkers. So when they feed me, it warms my soul!
