The more I watch Jeff, the more I’m convinced that if I could follow him around for a month, I’d learn more than I did in six years of college. Thank you sir!

Bet!! My friend!.. i enjoy all their episodes too!.. Reminds me of back home in Ms. Everytime my Uncle James prayed after church, he would say " and We preciate ya" Lord for all that youve done and are gunna do AMEN!..... later.. Appreciate ya!...
Sorry Gordon Ramsey, You've Been Replaced! Nothing " boring " about this video Mr Barron. When you are not explaining the cooking process, you always have a outdoor story to tell us. That's why we all 'Preciate Ya'll .
From Bryan Hardin girl your dad is a good man just show you country boys can survived u don't need to worry about the haters i live the same way. Keep it going.
The reason this channel will do so well, is that you can clearly see Jeff is genuine, knowledgeable, and resourceful. Which is exactly what people want to see in the world we live in now days. Not to mention you can tell him an Hanna are good hearted people. Great content Jeff keep’em coming!
Jeff puts the same principles in what ever he’s doing. Be it cooking, hunting, building, farming or raising a child to adulthood. It’s all the same. Keep it simple, straight forward and to the point. The time most spend weaving a basket of bullshit, Jeff’s got it done and on to the next. Refreshing to see sir. Can definitely see where Hannah gets her common sense.
I've been viewing your daughter's channel for the past 2 days and brotha, you guys live one hell of a lifestyle! I'm from San Diego California but have always been interested in becoming self-sufficient and learning to living off the land. I just want to say that your father was a hell of a man for teaching you all you know. And you are freakin awesome for teaching your daughter the same. Oh yeah, that looks bomb!
Hey, Jeff: Well I got to say, you would make a fine cook anywhere, your new channel is going to be great! At 70 years old, and my Dad is 88 and still working, I was raised a lot like you were. You work hard all day, we ate what we grew or hunted, and then hit it again the next day! Only Sunday Worship was when we weren't working! So I do appreciate your way of life, and wouldn't do it any other way. Stay Safe! Stay Well! God Bless!!
Jeff Barron's not a 1 trick pony. We learned how to sharpen a chainsaw yesterday, and today we're learning how to make brown gravy...I love this channel!
This guy I'd imagine will teach the world how to eat without a grocery store, how to cook southern style how to work smart and occasionally hard, and basically make use of everything so nothing gets wasted.
Jeff scrapes out a pan like I do. Every little bit. Doesn't matter what you have, when you're raised lean you get every little bit. I never really knew how much we didn't have growing up. Makes me respect my parents even more. We eat venison almost every day. I'll have to try this gravy method.
Glad you have your own channel now sir....everyone can now see why Hannah is so awesome as the apple never falls far from the tree...God bless you and your family.
My Dad is the only person that I've ever known that could compete with you sharpening a knife. SO IMPRESSIVE. I would really enjoy you doing an instructional video on knife sharpening. It would bring back memories, and maybe I could catch on this time.
This man gotta be the most eligible bachelor in his neck of the woods!!! What don’t this man know how to do!?!? Jeff don’t know how this channel gon’ blow up! YOU KEEP FREESTYLING, WE’LL KEEP WATCHING! 😆👍
Jeff Barron Family Brown Gravy Recipe: 1 stick of butter 1 and a half cups of self rising flour (or several scoops) 2 teaspoon's of black pepper (several flicks) 4 teaspoon's of Garlic and Onion Powder (several hard shakes) Several servings of your meat of choice (preferred Squirrel, Turtle, or Deer Meat) in a pot of boiling water, salted to taste Cooking instructions: put 1 stick of butter into a large pan and melt it down, add the flour and stir continuously for 15 minutes on high heat. Keep stirring till its a dark peanut butter brown in color and has a nice pudding consistency. If its blacker than your refrigerator it's burned and you'll need to start over. Have your pot of water and meat cooking on low heat. When the mixture is ready, SLOWLY add the mixture from the pan into the pot of water and meat so that it doesn't rise and spill over the pot. Continue to cook on low heat for 4 hours. Add additional flour or cornstarch to thicken to your liking. Add additional black pepper, salt, and garlic & onion powder to taste. If the meat chews like whip leather then continue to cook and monitor till its very soft and breaks apart easily. Pour over home made biscuits and serve. Preciate y'all.

You're doing fine. Stuff that seems like just easy general knowledge to you is stuff that people like me have never been exposed to or taught. It's got a lot of value to people like me. Thanks.
You crack me up Jeff! So glad Hannah made you a RU-vid channel! I wish I could just hang out, build stuff and eat what God’s created with you! Keep the videos coming! They’re very enjoyable!
Up here in Canada watching you work your magic in that kitchen. I've got deer in the freezer and I'm going to give it a whirl. Thanks for this. And thanks to you and your daughter for putting out these videos and giving us great tips and entertainment in this still crazy Covid world of ours.
My Granny taught me how to cook up deer meat. And she didn't like deer! And I still can't make it as good as she did. She added a lot of love to the recipe!
You Sir give me so much inspiration to get out and trap and hunt more and so much other stuff in the woods. This kind of stuff always looks fun, along with the cooking we can do with the wild game! I am hoping one day I figure out the land I use to find more wild game and get my dang back fixed. Thank you for the videos! - Ron from Franklin County, New York
Good roux takes a while...I usually make a 2 beer roux.. after second beer it should be perfect! I realize some of you guys can’t judge it like that... after your second beer it’s still butter and flour. ;)
I love watching you and your daughter's videos! Keep them coming! Y'all should try to set something up to bring people out to hang with y'all for a couple days or or so. People would pay! I know I would! :-)

That stick of butter kill me already..! I built my bed ,dresser ,chest set and family table by my own hands , Sleep like a baby ! Appreciate you showing a nice recipe for venison. Subscribed and waiting for the next video. Thank You and Hannah for showing a gooood dinner!
Yep squirrel gravy is is a favorite. Ain't had it in close to 50 years but you never forget that taste. Now I'm gonna go cook me a deer steak smothered in onions. Made me hungry.
So I wasn't expecting this -- the long cook roux upgrade on my Canadian Moose stew put it over the top. Good job! Love it. Learned something new and useful.

Dang !..we all fight for the left over cooked deer meat in the frig...never dry ? We usually cook extra just so we have left overs for 2 to 3 days...for sandwiches or just snacks. We usually steak the whole deer..butcher by using the natural separations , cut 1/2 thick steaks , tenderize with mallet , roll in flour and cook in hot oil ...MMM ! If an old tuff buck..soak the meat in buttermilk the night before. Our deer season goes from July 26th to January 31st every year..4 bucks and a doe or 5 bucks..free tags for resident on Prince of Wales Island Alaska. We use any waste like bones and guts for crab and shrimp bait. You did great in your video..good job !
Thank you Sir for taking the time out of your day to give tips and tricks to us. Some of them we may know some we may not. But either way it's very much appreciated. Even mor now that we can't go out and do are normal stuff with the virus issues. God bless and have a good one.
New to the channel. That was awesome. Don't mean to appear to be imposing on you but I'm on the way over. That deer gravy with fresh hot biscuits got my mouth drooling like a baby cutting teeth. Looking forward to Future videos.
We do deer same way.... put it over homemade rolled out cut noodles my wife makes.....glad to know there’s still normal people out there....people think I’m crazy eatin turtles and squirrel? Way better than what I ever got from a grocer. Really like slow cookin rabbit then flour and grease....some of the best tastin grub anybody ever ate.
Real, down home, to the point, no bs, salt of the earth stuff. I appreciate the awesome video’s so far. My favorite part was the sharpening of the pocket knife in this one. Quick simple and effective. I’m a knife junkie. Throw a quick edc video at us. I’d be curious to see what a person as handy as you are carries on them everyday.
New favorite channel keep up the good work. I love dales but you are right it is salty it only takes a little bit. We soaked a bologna in it for about an hour let it dry and threw it in the cold smoker for 4 hours dang it was so good.
