@yougotchips6273 bro the lobster was actively trying to get away and moving every leg 💀 a spasm would be expected but kicking multiple legs and actively crawling after “death” doesn’t happen
@@user-jq2mx1gb5r So I’m aware of how the nerves work but in this case it looks much less twitchy than what you’d normally expect imo. Hard to tell with animals that can’t actually make any expression or noise😂
i mean scientifically it kinda is an opinion no research suggest that they do feel pain... no nervous system etc. but maybe they do feel pain nobody really knows
I'll never understand why people who haven't tried something want to have an opinion. JK idk but I don't think people find it appetizing just the flavor which by the way it's delicious
@@matthewarellano865 I've tried it, I never said I didn't. I also didn't like it. The fact someone a long time ago caught a giant bug and ate it is crazy though.
@stephenfrank2397 I heard that it was actually a decision made from pure desperation. Lobsters were a peasant's meal for them to survive. Well, at atleast before the nobles knew about its delicacy.
@@burntbrownie yea but its just a theory though simple because all nerves are connected to pain receptors off all living creatures that have nerves not all living creatures have nerves so thise without nerves technically shouldn't feel pain from what we know but those that do feel pain its just because they in the wild they are better at handle the pain than we are so that theory is something thats just made up by people who cook that way and isn't even scientifically proven just that it makes people sleep better at night Don't get me wrong food is food everything must eat to survive just wanted to point that out
@zandtheboys5160 no, he was incredibly irresponsible and has no idea what he's doing. Cutting the head is a smooth process if you genuinely care about the lobster. We can't tell if they genuinely feel pain, but it's best to respect the animals we eat regardless. The way he handles a knife, the way he shows no regard for the lobster, and the way he parades it around as some toy is disgusting.
@@nanashi420Why would he show regard for something he's going to eat? Get off the internet if you're too soft and sensitive. This is how the world works
@@nanashi420 I don't care how the lobster is feeling. I don't care if it feels pain or not. I'm going to eat it people are so sensitive so weak. I bet you voted for Joe Biden.
you'd be surprised how much meat contains parasites. That's why you can't have a medium rare pork chop. Bottom feeders like this are highly likely to have parasites, and that's also why you aren't suppose to eat them under cooked.
You do realize if cooked correctly you won't have to worry about being sick by any parasite from the host. Extreme heats will kill all parasite. Now if there's others parasites or viruses that I don't know then that's the whole different story which I'm betting there probably is, maybe you can't boil them to a crisp. But that's just I guess on my side but definitely boiling them would absolutely would kill anything inside to purify it.
NO ONE cares. If i can choose between a steak with parasite in it before i cook it , or a perfectly clean one I will NEVER select the steak with a parasite in it before cooking if i have the choice. @@Super_Link64
@@Super_Link64 Heat that's high enough to boil water kills most things since most creatures are bags of fluid in simple terms, so you are right. There are a couple exceptions with bacterial spores being a common one. Most medical instruments are metal since to clean them, they go into something called an autoclave. Fungus in general is also deceptively resistant to heat, needing to literally burn it or high hot pressure to explode.
Heyo! Marine Biologist here! It’s a debated topic on the topic of pain reception in lobsters and I’m here to clarify for the internet today. Lobsters lack the neural complexities to feel the sensation of “pain” the same way we do as humans. Most mammals have around 100 billion neurons while insects (which the lobster kinda is), have only about 100,000, making them much much less likely to feel “pain”. That being said, this “gentle”man probably didn’t do anything to stun or slow the creature for preparation beforehand and it’s movements after the cut (assuming he struck the brain and didn’t kite around it), can be considered involuntary movements. Still though….that cut was pretty unskilled…
@JustGamer075 basically yea, just like insects they don't have enough neurons physically available. We obviously don't know exactly what they feel but it's probably not pain like we feel. This exact neuron count is why a lot of cultures refuse to eat cephelopods because their count is far greater than most other animals.
@@JustGamer075 less that it's too dumb to, and more that its nervous system just can't. It'd be like if your skin couldn't tell if it was wet, even after swimming. Sensory issue, not a brain one.
“I’m going to put him out of his misery” *absolutely fucking annihilates lobster* Edit: Thanks for the likes, glad people found this funny. I don’t care if it’s a lobster, crayfish or whatever I’m not a marine biologist lol 😂
Chef here. This is actually the most “humane” way to kill a crayfish/lobster/crab…they immediately die bc u pierce the brain so any movement after slicing it in half through the face is just nerve spasms. But personally like he said I do not believe these creatures feel pain like we do…the complexities of feeling pain and understanding what’s happening to you, where the pain is coming from, being conscious and understanding what’s happening takes such complexities that I do not believe their brains can comprehend pain the way you would if someone snapped your arm off…also I think these dudes shed their outer shells and repair themselves.
Usually seafood makes my mouth water, but this just took lobster off my menu for a good while. Just like the Strawberry parasite video, it just killed it for me😢
I mean, lobsters don't have the ability to process pain, so it's kinda whatever, lol. it's more so we don't feel bad pulling them apart while they're alive.
His technique is what's currently considered the fastest way to completely destroy the brain. They use the same method for fish. Everything continues to move after death because of nerves, research the King Henry decapitations and how long the eyes looked around.
That lobster was dead, they'll still flop around like that for minutes after you kill them because of their nerves. He did it in the most humane way that he could
The cells need to use all there energy even after inputs from the brain stop. Thats why animals after being killed do a death seize or death rattle. Frog legs can twitch when applying salt
@@vanitas-pv7hvthey feel pain but not the same as humans they understand they are being hurt but they dont experience the pain to go with it if u dont get what i mean kick a wall with a tooth pick wedged in ur toe nail what you feel, they dont

there is no way you pulled the nerd emoji a cray fish and a lobster are 100% not the same thing at all, you're the type of person to call a whale a fish@@sino4275
@@runechuckie it’s called a postmortem response. It happens when basically everything dies. It’s your body automatically moving on its own, despite you being literally dead.
he said that becauase with every animal, including you, when we die our nerves can go off for a while on their own, causing involuntary movemt, even after death. the way he killed it is one of the quickest deaths they can experience. and if that still bothers people, they shouldnt eat meat.
“their human nervous systems arent as complex as ours, they do not have a external nerve defibrillator so how would they feel the jingles, they must not feel pain”
