Luke and I travel out to a remote beach near Innisfail called Ella Bay to try out the new Reflector Oven. We try and cook up some Porterhouse Steaks for lunch. What a stunning day down on the beach.
Great video. Love seeing Luke Reed having a great time up there, it is lonely now in Tassie but my broadband speed doubled now that he isn't using his. Safe travels and see you guys soon. WE GOT FIRE BABY
Great clip Guys, I enjoy watching the cook up’s sounds like you both had a great time making it. I just can’t get over how few people there are on the beach on a beautiful FNQ day.
You did just fine in my book. Those steak sandwiches looked really tasty. You can cook anything in a reflector oven you would in a regular oven. For a reflector oven to work properly you have to use a good size fire and keep it up. Great job getting fire going with a flint and steel Luke.👍
Nicely done Buck and Lukey for getting the fire going. I always coat my balls in Vaseline, the next time I start a fire I will try Citronella. I know the oven was small, but for backpacking on foot into and out of a solo camp it’s probably a good size to fit into a rucksack. I’m thinking it would be good for sausages, bacon, pies, burgers, chicken etc.
That worked well Buck, steaks looked good, lovely spot . Lukey must be loving the weather it’s been hellish here has not stopped raining and it’s raining all next week too (Cranbourne Vic) Tassies to get snow so he’s not missing anything, thanx for sharing Enjoy ur break Lukey 👍
I'm pleasantly surprised... How about some big spuds wrapped in foil ..simple but it would be good to see how they come out how long they take to cook. Add your cheese & other bits and pieces (bacon) etc.
👍👍you might have to trade the BT50 in for a B double to fit all the cooking gear in 😂😂. Try a pan sized fish,I reckon it would work a treat. 👁️👁️😎😇❤️🙏🇦🇺
