Lou is the salt and pepper police. Not to much, That’s to much. LOL My daughter and I do this easy chicken recipe all the time, we also throw in frozen vegetables. Makes a fast easy complete meal. Leftovers are great too. Jake and Lyssa also made a VERY Hugh pan of cheesy dip video too. I think it’s awesome family supporting each other’s videos, Buddy comes and doesn’t eat but still comes that’s so awesome!
Yes ma'am I know. I just think it's awesome that he comes to support his family. but thank you for making sure I knew. Hope ya have a great day! @@rebeccarankin2691
You both have turned your kitchen into a chef’s kitchen! New fancy fridge, sink, knives, cooking utensils, and now a station for all your Lodge ware. Looks great! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love how your family gets together. When my parents were alive we would have family dinners 🍽. I miss those times. God's blessings to you and your family.
Lou did an excellent job putting the shelf together. I love the black and white in your house. Lou is a very smart person making Dan do all the work. ❤
Lou, the sign of a great chef is to have your sous chef do most of the work, you are a great chef! Dan, you get to play with your knife, so you are happy, don't pretend otherwise. You two are the best thing about Thursdays.... PS Love the meat jokes :)
That is so fantastic that you got the invite to the Lodge place. It will be a fun trip for you and Lou. Dan and Lou hit the road taking his delicious biscuits nation wide ! 👏👏👏👏
You guys are the highlight of my week. It's like sitting down with my family! Don't change a thing. If you guys weren't fussying with each other I think I would have to call authorities to do a welfair check!😂
My husband is the cook, and I am the cleaning crew! This chicken and rice recipe is my husband's favorite! He fixes this at least once a week. We decided years ago not to be in the kitchen at the same time, due to the arguments! I give you a Lou kudos for cooking together with-out killing each other!
Your meal looks great ❤ your family togetherness.Dan your so right Jake is doing so great on their house and Lyssa is there helping him and supporting him. There such a great team.
Congratulations Dan & Lou! 🎉👏🏽😊 I hope you know 1 hour is plenty of time if everything is pre chopped, marinating. The pot will do all the cooking especially the dutch oven used in this video. I cook a pot roast in mine. Remember while you preheat the oven also heat your pots & pans you will be using with a little oil to activate the pots full heating potential it could also be low on the stove. When ready to cook place the food in the pots & in the oven the meat will fall off the bone.. 🥘
You guys always leave me giggling. My late Daddy was the chef on weekends. He always added little surprises to everything he cooked up for us. One of my favorite things that he did (I still do it to this day) was make “surprise biscuits “. He would add a spoonful of jam or jelly inside each biscuit before baking. There’s nothing like a warm biscuit with the sweet goodness of warm jam inside. Give it a try! In my recipe book I’ve called them “Jim’s Surprise Biscuits.” Enjoy! Y’all have a blessed day!
I'm coming to meet Dan and Lou in NC! I can't wait! 🎉 congratulations on your invitation. You guys are big time now! Can't wait to see you drop things on the floor, live & in person!
Make a breakfast bake or something breakfast /brunch related to go with your biscuits. That would be a hit for your cast iron presentation. Keep it easy.
I think we're the real winners here, y'all gave us 2 great recipes. Looking forward to your Lodge trip. And Jake is a doing a wonderful job building his and Lyssa's future, he's a hell of a worker for sure. Lyssa too.
I hope and pray Jake is OK and is taking it easy in this heat. I've been kinda worried about him (just the mama in me I guess). Dan, I'm not a morning person either lol I just want to be left alone. I have a brother that is like LouLou! Congrats on the Lodge invite! That is so awesome! I am so proud of the two of you. It's been great being one of the 1st subscribers to this channel and watching the followers grow and the way you two have grown in this.
Always luv your cooking shows an enjoy seeing the family every Sunday thank you so much for sharing your time with us ♥️ ♥️ Can’t wait until next Thursday
Another fine meal whipped up with just a touch of sass to make it spicy. LOL! No really Dan, Lou thanks for taking time out of your busy days to share with us a part of your life. You've got the right to be a proud papa. Jake is taking everything he has learned and building a good home and life. Have a good evening now and may it be blessed
Hi Lou and Dan, your new shelf looks like it was built in with your kitchen. Very nice look. You could’ve put the extra three biscuits in another small bakeware container because everyone in your family likes biscuits. Actually, bacon grease is healthy and chicken thighs are healthy. Thank you for sharing. I may have to make a flight to my daughters in Morganton NC to visit your “on the road cooking show”. “Dan and Lou take it to the streets!” Make in NC what you made today and serve in little cups. Have the recipe written on cards for everyone.
So glad your also going Lou to the Lodge Store Event. Lou, you looked so pretty in hot pink shirt. :) IF POLLING, CHOICE for EVENT: #1. Marry Me Chicken makes up a mess for samples or Texas Chili Morrow Style and Paw Paw's Cornbread (LOL) kidding; but, biscuits are good anytime of day or night with anything. Have fun at the event. This weeks Meal #32.1 was great and Lou, you were correct in you cooking chicken in the pot with the water/broth and adding seasoned rice to finish cooking. The favors marry together and give it a great richness that way. So glad everyone liked it. Kim really did love it as did Bri, plus she did like Goulash last week but it needed a little more kick, had it had corn (fresh or frozen) that would have been great and even a section of cut up bell peppers (different colors) would have really made that dish extra special. I can see that being made again for family.
Just a suggestion to help with your timing in October, prep as much as you can beforehand. Have the meat and veggies cut up and ready to go. Saves a ton of time. So excited for both of you!
Lou, you did a great job on the meal. Looks good!!! Dan, Cooking with Brenda Gantt in Alabama heats her cast iron skillet and grease while she is making her biscuits. When she puts her biscuits in the pan you can hear her biscuits sizzle. Lol. How exciting to be invited to go NC.
Oh that meal looked so delicious and it was quick! Kash sure is a papaws boy! He is absolutely a gorgeous little boy! By the way, I think it's great you both get to go to North Carolina, have fun!
Lou, I hope you enjoyed the portrait that I sent to you guys? Enjoy it in good health. BTW, you make the show interesting with your comebacks on Dan lol
Dan Dan Dan. You just admitted your biscuits are a combination of pawpaws and your buddies😂😂😂. Congrats on your invite to cook at the Lodge Store. I will be watching. ❤
Thank you both for another great Cooking With Dan and Lou…. I look forward to seeing you both in the kitchen. Dan use BEER in place of the milk in your biscuits . The alcohol cooks out but they will have a great yeast flavor. Have a blessed week. Hugs from China Spring Texas ❤
😂😂😂Dan , it's always a good idea to check your meat to make sure there are no bones in it! Lol😂😂😂 BTW, "Cooking with Dan & Lou " is one of my favorites! Blessings
The chicken and rice looks delicious. Dan's biscuits look great. Your cooking show is the best and the only one I watch. Lou I think i would like your meal more that last weeks . So I give Lou a big 10! I love the cabinet Lou put together and all the new cast iron pots and skillets. My favorite cook ware. Thankyou both for brining us along I love you both 💗. You all have a great day.
Nice seeing LE joining ya'll, again....he is enjoying himself.....Kash sure loves his PawPaw (these two are two peas in a pod)....💕 Dan and Kim ya'll two are hilarious how ya'll play off each other....Bri is hilarious with her Daddy lol....
Guy's I use the Knorr rice all the time as a base to make meals, and the noodle ones also. I use chicken, ground beef and sausage to make all kind of meals. They are quick and easy, little hint. Use chicken broth instead of water to fix the rice or the noodle mixes. Love you guys so much, you seem like big kids really in love. I hope I will be able to make it to the Lodge store to see ya'll. Tammy Mitchell
Using chicken broth to cook rice is great suggestion. I always use chicken broth on chicken and rice, chicken and dumplings, and chicken soup. Use beef consume' when making brown gravy when making beef dishes. It's really beef marrow with a little coloring. It's in the soup section.
Another Great video, Lou great work showing how to work smarter not harder LOL. Congratulations on going to Lodge outlet, How exciting wish I lived closer.
@@kimmil7299 , Dan just can't help himself to shut up!! Lou would say more IF she was given the chance. Even when she does say something, he HAS to interrupt her, so she just keeps quiet! I loved with a domineering @$$hole for 28 years that did the same thing!!
Definitely something you've already made, things will go easier. And yes the Marry me chicken would be great. Just cube the chicken it will be quicker and bite size to share easier.
When you do biscuits at the show, use a smaller biscuit cutter-maybe a two inch one-so more people can taste them. And be sure not to touch anything (oil jar and pepper shaker) after touching raw chicken!
Dan and Lou y'all both did a great job I love watching y'all show y'all put a smile on my face keep up the great videos God bless try to stay cool Catch you on the next one❤❤❤❤
Love Thursday Mornings because of y'all two, Love y'all so much but want more Lou video's Y'all are an amazing couple and have a wonderful family sending y'all love
So exciting about NC! Marry me chicken is the perfect choice! And with Dan's biscuits Oooooo weeeee!!!! Definitely do a practice run and time it.Y'all gotta video that. It would be so much fun to watch y'all prepare lol! Y'all are so much fun in the kitchen! I can't wait to see this! Great meal! Love y'all!
Both did an amazing job on the meals. Congrats on going being invited to North Carolina for a cooking show. I hope you will be able to video some of it. I always look forward to you videos each week. Lou I am like you for being a morning person, have been all my life.
Maybe you guys could do a red beans and rice or a chicken spaghetti, even a chicken pot pie mixture with your biscuits would be good and easy. Serve just a small portion. If it’s a cooking convention for Logde these folks will be tasting a lot of food. I use the box chicken rice because it doesn’t get soggy the longer it sits. It’s a mix of rice and vermicelli noodles. When I’m lazy I throw in a bag of precooked oven roasted chicken. 😂❤
That meal looked really good! I’m going to make it this week. I already use the flavored rice so adding chicken and cheese to it is easy. Nice to see everyone come together.
I bake the chicken with the rice and cream of chicken soup in the oven. I don’t even cook chicken ahead. I just cut it in tender sizes. Easy yummy meal. :)
Thank you Dan for going over your biscuits recipe. I failed horribly the 1st time I made them. Now i know what I did wrong. I was laughing so hard when Kim was saying it was really good. Meanwhile in the background Le is shoveling food into his mouth in rapidly. He loved it I'd say 😅
I would stay with my boyfriend on the weekend and he cooked breakfast for us and come wake me up and I would be grumpy. He walked away then came back and said “ you know it’s just as easy to wake up in a good mood than a bad mood “ welllll since then I have done just that, good mood Cindy ☺️
Hi Daniel & Lou! Lou just sauntered in there & won. 👍😊👏 The shelf looks great! Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊 I love these videos! So funny! 🤣😂👏 The food looks delicious! Simple, easy & delicious! I love those kinds of recipes. 👍👏😊 Daniel needs to stop moving that camera around. 😂🤣
Another great video love y'all 💖💖💖💖 and another great meal too hope y'all have a wonderful rest of y'all week & a wonderful weekend too take care God bless y'all and all of y'all family too
I love the new cabinet and the cast iron. Sadly I can't cook with it because I find it too heavy to use but it really looks nice. Love the chemistry between you two. Keep on cooking.
Hi Dan and Lou. Another great cook off. Well don Lou that looked so good. And had the approval from everyone. Congratulations for being invited to the cast iron cook off. Your shelf unit looks so at home fits in perfectly. Well done again take careGod bless you both. 💕🙏😎🧑🏻🍳
Norma here. Another great cooking video. Congratulations on being invited back to the Lodge store to demonstrate their cast iron and your cooking skills. I’m sure you’ll both do great. Lou’s meal looked delicious. Dan, we know you love to use that knife and Lou knows how to delegate. She gave you the messy jobs. lol Couldn’t really see you making the biscuits because the milk bottle was in the way. Dan, please wash your hands after touching chicken and before touching all the spice bottles. Missed seeing Paw Paw and Gigi. Glad to see LE, but why doesn’t Megan accompany him? Lou, you tell Jake and Lyssa that if they can bake and eat cake, they can eat your dinner once a week. Yes, you should be very proud of Jake and all the work he and Lyssa are doing to make their house a home. BTW, I wake up a complete grouch. Don’t talk or even look at me until I’ve had my coffee. My husband wakes up like a wind up doll who just won’t stop talking. lol
Hey Dan and Lou! I enjoy watching you and your family so much. I have never been envious of anyone up until I discovered Morrow Hill. I really appreciate the love you all have for one another. I should have born a Texan instead of a Cali girl. Question: How can I send you some recipe ideas? Anyhow, thanks for all the laughs and smiles.
