I like to imagine about Savage going to court, thinking he's gunna win, then the judge points out he was wrong and he says 'oh I didnt know!' and the judge is like 'ignorince of te lawl is no uxcuse!'

Go to 99 Designs and look at the article he shows. In the _Cariou v Prince_ case he shows he has to specifically crop out the bottom portion of that section of the article because it reads, quote: "Update 4/25/13: Not two weeks after this article was published, the original decision in this case was overturned and the judge ruled in favor of Prince for the majority of works in dispute, claiming that Prince's work transformed the work in a way that it was aesthetically different, and thus acceptable under the argument of fair use." So Mr. Savage's own examples included one where it was found to be Fair Use and he just cropped out that inconvenient detail.

You know that one substitute teacher that comes about twice every three months who makes everyone uncomfortable, and will make the class feel like shit if they're not on impossibly good behavior, which then creates an open secret that everyone in school absolutely loathes the sub, not giving a second thought of shredding them? Derek Savage gives the *exact* same vibes.

(I know, I'm pretty late here, but still.) Is it just me, or does this guy somehow seems like a big...child? I might be wrong here, but this guy seems pretty childish and immature in just all the wrong ways. Again, could be wrong here, but that's how I think Derek was acting here. Hell, even Adum said something similar about the tone of his film, saying it had a weird innocense to it. So who knows, maybe Derek really is that way.
