People reviewing this thing need to do a *complete review* by measuring multiple temperatures, current, and possibly pressures. Supplemental water cooling will not lead to a drop in vent temp so much as a drop in current/increase in efficiency, but only under the right conditions. *Additional cooling at the condenser is going to do one thing- increase subcooling.* Some increase can be beneficial, but too much will cause the TXV to starve the evaporator, leading to an increase in superheat, causing the compressor to run hotter and the conditioned space to lose cooling. Throw mini-splits and their CPU algorithms/lookup tables and electronic expansion valves in the mix and it's an even bigger can of worms. My 30 year old heat pump does benefit with a small amount of water cooling on extra hot days (just 1 small fogger nozzle). When I direct the same mist onto my mini split, it responds by slowing the compressor down. All in all, this particular device is too expensive for what it is, which is not robust enough to be reliable.

I’ll agree, I think I should have stated it needs to be a very dry climate like Utah where I am at. And most times the reason someone is putting this on their unit or taking other measures is because it can’t keep up, either because it’s ancient, or it’s ridiculously hot. You made some valid points and no need to be secretive. I get it man. I think the product works under certain conditions and I’m not affiliated with Cool n save. Best

You do a lot of good for people so I ain't mad but sometimes we'll agree to disagree. And there's just been way more aggressive people on other platforms in the diy space that I'm particular about. Thanks for the commenting 🤝

@@ReliableHVACRthanks brother. I’ll try and make sure these points are more clear in future videos. They did a scientific study for this particular product so I’ll be diving into that maybe next season. Thanks for all that you do brother. 👊🏼

Most electric companies offer a free in home consultation on making your home more energy efficient. things like caulking around your doors or adding insulation to the attic or walls. That seems like a better approach than trying to eek out an extra degree or two from your AC condenser. Or hey if you wanna spend some money on something that will help you out way more than a $120 mister, get a thermal imaging camera attachment for your phone. They are as cheap as $160 and they can show you all the places where you have heat differentials in your walls. Then you can do your own home assessment.

The systems this would work best on probably just need a good deep cleaning or have a fan motor on the way out. Sprinklers are a bandaid for a larger problem.

I get the concept but it's mostly fools gold, not worth the trouble

Hey Adrian, love your videos and your HVAC KNIGHTS are also great. Question…. Did you mention that we can use a discount code at tru-tech tools ? If so what’s that discount code again ? Thanks Victor

Much appreciated 👊🏽 and I never personally got my own code but I would use my buddy's code "UNCENSORED"

Nice content!!! It’s that new r-ugettingscrewed refrigerant. DIY channels are so lame. Crying about professional companies and the prices they charge. There are contractors out there for any price range. However, “cheap labor isn’t skilled labor, skilled labor isn’t cheap.” I’ll credit Troll Co. for that statement. But it’s true! The biggest issue with the DYI channels bashing is they leave off all the value that is brought by a reputable company. It’s not always about the part failure and the repair it’s self.

I get the point of those pages the problem is like you said too many points they don’t cover . Personally I have no problem with people wanting to work on their own stuff I just want them to be safe and do it the right way which requires a ton of tools and equipment that they never cover .

Okay but then why is there a “slinger ring” on window ac units? -just adding to the discussion here I do see your point that the main house unit doesn’t have it, it’s not made to be bathing in water. But like what’s the difference? (Between the window units self wetting and the big units) To me in the end id like to think it works BUT my main thing is if it really worked that well and made a difference, they woulda made it standard already. Like there’s people that study it for a living so 🤷‍♂️
@SuperJWATT
@SuperJWATT 7 часов назад
I actually think this Slinger Ring is mostly just a way to put the humidity condensed into water back into the air vs dumping it on the ground. it can help in dry environments absolutely. but if its super humid its probably a wash.

It’s all fun and games until the diyer messes up their system because they tried to save money so they call the bad apples of contractors because they are the cheapest just to get scammed 😂
