I make something we call salsa chicken, you cook your chicken the same way but at the end add cream cheese, salsa, drained canned corn (or frozen) and drained canned black beans. We eat it with tortillas and/or tortilla chips. Its so yummy and an all in one dish!
I don't rinse chicken, it spreads germs and even if you sanitize, there's still a risk. It's really not necessary. To make it less salty, use low sodium chicken broth and add some water. Otherwise, it looked yummy!
I made this a few weeks ago & thought it to be a tad salty as well. So today I bought the lower sodium taco seasoning and going to give that a try next weekend. Happy 4th of July weekend 🎆🎆
I love how everyone is debating the chick being washed ( which it does not need to be washed) but no one is talking about the aluminum.😅 this woman is just surviving and thriving taking great care of these kids!! Awesome
This is in a nutshell why NOT to rinse chicken…. for the first time in 2005, the USDA’s Dietary Guidelines for Americans included food safety, and advised against rinsing chicken before cooking. The reason is exactly what the studies found, that those chicken juices get all over the place and can potentially get someone sick. Julia Child rinsed her chicken and that is why America grew up doing it. 😊
Next time when you make The rice add chicken bouillon and a jar of mild salsa and you have Spanish rice it gives your taco extra flavor or you can eat it as a side dish 😊😊😊😊😊
It's Summer. Don't be getting up that early! Granola and yogurt is a wonderful option for breakfast so that maybe you could sleep in. Looking forward to Vegas!
I find it really strange anyone would wash their chicken! That's a big no no here in England!!😮 Salmonella, Campylobacter and other harmful bacteria live on raw chicken. Washing or rinsing doesn't remove this risk, it worsens it by helping the bacteria spread.
I know right! I’m Australian and washing chicken just seems like a cross contamination nightmare! I’d never heard of anyone doing that till I started watching Alicia and seeing the comments.
It’s simply a difference in culture . I wash my chicken to remove any feathers or gunk from the butcher’s equipment. I thoroughly clean my sink right after . This is very common for the Black community 😊
🤣🤣😂😂 Omg Josh was hilarious with the belly rub. lol. Thanks for the laugh. I do not wash my chicken , the heat is there to kill off all the pathogen this is why they say to make sure the chicken reaches 160F. I sometimes will pad it dry with paper towels but washing it to me is worrisome because with the naked eye you don't see the juices being splattered around the entire area and a high risk of salmonella. You did a great job! That is so cute you are saving for the bunnies outside you are a great person . Ranch seasoning can be intense I would try to cut it down to 2 packets or even 1.5 and use an unsalted broth since the seasoning have a lot of salt already in them. I am the same way I can't sleep when I have so many things to do, the mind just keeps piling it on and if it isn't done then I won't sleep until I get it done. I use post its to help me balance the projects and tasks I need to do. I think you rocked it and you are so strong and amazing!
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Wednesday afternoon and evening with the kids and hope they like the Cool Ranch Crockpot Chicken Tacos and Bon Appetit.
I need to start doing more crockpot meals so I have a nice meal for me when I get home from work! I'm too paranoid to leave it on all day while I'm not at home lmao 😂😂
I forgot to mention we’ve lost everything to a house fire and I won’t leave nothing plugged up. We also was in the EKY flooding. So I’m extremely paranoid.
I've done it before and I also have had the same paranoia. I have a newer one so when it's done cooking it turns off or you can keep it to warm. There's also a setting where you can have it on a timed start. I also make sure that (I do this on a daily anyways) everything else is unplugged when I have the crock pot going and everything cleared away from it. Just my lil tip to maybe ease it for you ❤
I worked in a specialty meat house for 30 years. You can look at the list of ingredients, on the package. Then make your own decisions. But either way it’s ok.
If you ask any chef they do NOT wash the chicken so as a kitchen manager so long as it’s cook to at least 170 you’ve killed the bad stuff-washing can spread to other stuff if you don’t clean properly.
Line up to small plates together with your tomatoes in between the plates and with a long sharp knife cut the tomatoes hope it works for you love your vidoes
I hope you all have an amazing time in Las Vegas! I'm looking forward to seeing that video. Yay to renewing your vows🌻❤🌻❤. Thanks for the belly laugh Josh😆
I saw what you cooked for breakfast today before I see what you cooked for dinner last night LOL. I know it is not your doings but I like knowing what I will see next I don’t know what I am going to watch when y’all go on vacation. 😢😢
Washing or rinsing chicken increases risk according to Google. Salmonella, Campylobacter and other harmful bacteria live on raw chicken. Washing or rinsing doesn't remove this risk, it worsens it by helping the bacteria to spread. When you add water through washing or rinsing, you give these bacteria a way to travel throughout your kitchen.
Unless you just butchered your own chicken it doesnt need to be washed. You just spread any contaminates all over your sink and who knows where else when you do that. If your chicken is slimy it might be bad anyway.
No you do not wash chicken. Not only can that spread germs even faster(fun fact a kitchen is actually dirtier than a toilet) but it is absolutely not necessary as long as it’s cooked at the right degree.
I don't get the whole wash the raw chicken in the US. Like even the big star chefs say NOT to wash raw chicken, because all the juices get all over the place. And I know people say "Well, I wash the sink and around after the washing " but those juices get a lot further and you'll have all that raw chicken juice and stuff all over the kitchen 🤢😣
Hopefully ur not getting little peices of tin foil in your chicken. Looks good. Chips with tacos. OK. Got enough carbs from rice and tortillas if u have some. Haven't finishes video yet. Now I'm hungry
You don’t have to wash chicken!! ESPECIALLY BONELESS SKINLESS CHICKEN. It literally makes no sense. The only time I “clean” my chicken is when I’m using bone in skin on thighs and I’m just checking for/ plucking really visible feathers because they disgust me.
I don't clean my chicken. I cook my chicken long enough to kill anything living or dead. Scissors would make it easier. But, everyone is different so you do you!
