Hey Alex great video I got c type reader to transfer video files to my galaxy s10+ from my nikon P1000 do I need to use the OTG connector even though reader comes with a C type connector? I tried it today without the OTG connector and it worked got warm then wouldn't open files and would just say charging connected device seemed like it fried it out ?

Very useful I was an android fan for many years but ditched it in 2013....I have been given an S10 and it is amazing how much it has developed

Hi Alex, I am greatful for your Video. I purchased an Endoscope which has a byfocated (split) cable at the connection end: USB&C. It didn't work, but your Video gave me the idea of using the USB plug, via an OTG connector (disregarding the C connector). This worked with 100% satisfaction. Thanks heaps!

I use my OTG adapter to plug my Arctis pro wireless USB cable to s10+. use with xbox app and get party chat audio and also able to use headphone mic.

Nice video, couple things i was not aware of that could be connected. so, i'm not making fun or t andrying to sound disrespectful but yr accent is quite thick, and is at the edge of being inaudible to my ears, & the part that i'm trying to figure out is coincidentally the part where you mistakened your dialogue at 3;40 to 3;50, because my galaxy s10 will not recognize ANY SSD external hard drive so right now i'm just trying to troubleshoot it, i found its not working on my WD drive neither & not just on my seagate so im thinking its the phone and not the drive, but i'm wondering if maybe the drive just needs to be formatted before my s10 can read it, like i go onto my s10's file explorer (not the exact name of the app but an app that ive NEVER had probs with before either) and in the app i tap on the usb icon then it takes me back and says could not read usb...

Good gru👌...I'm using otg for connecting external mic,pen drives etc., it is one of the most useful feature in Android devices... If you want to record your video with external usb mic on your smartphone..then use open camera app and in that video settings select audio source to external mic(if present)connect usb mic to mobile using otg.. then it will record video along with audio from mic ...hope other camera apps like Google camera supports external mic connectivity

Hi I can't get otg to work on galaxy s10 do I need to turn it on in settings?

First time using an andriod found your vidoe and while helpful it didn't show nor explain how to actually access the files on my USB. I get how to plug it in my phone but I've been swiping for days trying to find how can I view or save things on the usb once its plugged in.

My s8 does wireless printing. No app or otg thing needed ... so why is it necessary for the s20?

The printer feature will really come in handy... No need to turn on the pc.

You should show how it is possible to connect a Playstation controller to your phone. To me, it is the only use.
