When you refer to Mica powders are you referring to something like PearlX mica powders? If so, is there a video on how to use them to paint fine silver?

Hi Rita, you can find mica powders here: cooltools.us/collections/mica-powder We do not have a video on using them to paint fine silver. We will keep this in mind for the future. Thanks for watching!

What is the merit of using oil with enamel, and would it apply to standard enamel cloisonné?

Can you mix 2 thompson enamel colors using pine oil to make new color?
@cooltoolsvideos

Hello, overglaze or painting enamels such as the sunshine enamels shown in this video can be mixed and combined to create new colors. Pine Oil can be used as the liquid media for this process. Thompson Enamels are vitreous enamels that are not used for painting. Hope this helps.

Are the Sunshine enamels just for over glazing, or can you use them as the base enamels as well?

Hi Elyane, Sunshine Enamels cannot be applied directly to metal. They are to be applied to pieces that have already been previously enameled. Thanks for watching!

I didn't had the squeegee oil available nearby can you suggest any other alternatives ?? cause i tried lavender oil but it dries too fast and tried sandlewood oil as well but than the colour changes

Make your own oil mixture with mineral oil, a few drops of clove oil and a few drops of oil of turpentine. Walnut oil also works well. Store this in a small dropper bottle when you have found the right oil combination. Experiment with different oils for a more open oil...which is slower drying. Keep your work and paint covered and super clean or you will have fine specks all over your work.

Thank you ! What is it made of? It's not traditional hot enamel (powdered glass) right?
@racket136
@racket136 2 года назад
It IS indeed traditional hot enamel. More oxides than glass silica content. Hence it's overglaze.

Hello, lavender oil is an essential oil. Many artists use a variety of essential oils, but we recommend lavender. Hope that helps clarify!
