I'd prefer Portuguese to Dutch, but both were powerhouses. The Dutch however invaded England in late 1600's and it seems the Dutch naval prowess also went there too.
The area you pointed to on the map on the northern coast of South America was at this time in the Spanish empire not the Portuguese empire. 12:00 what you just explained happend roughly 1 year ago on the f2p server, when Panda changed nation from france to pirates, using alts to delay any other nation from taking their port or defending them. Guess how many players got banned? ^^ Anyway, let's get through this video and clear up some misinformation: - cooldud joined back last week, he had no alt in cfs before that and actively fought against cfs - cfs has for the moment nothing to do with xiled, no plans or what so ever to cooperate in rvr - Panda (with WTF, PODW and MERCY) has already fought with CFS (LIGMA + other spanish clans), for example Saint Nicolas, Puerta Plata area or around Dariena - I'm pretty sure this counts for every clan/nation, I would be surprised if it wasn't the same in Panda as in CFS tbh, but new players are always welcome to join. They get help with the "hard" start and grind, get teached tricks and tips about the game and of course get more than encouraged to participate in rvr - GB sadly has be the same as it always has been on the war server (coming from a War server gb player and later f2p gb player). Although player count wise GB always has the power to keep up with others, sadly it never really happens. Last session looked very promising with Llama (old TOXIC) and ST69 (old HAVOC), but in the end it broke down yet again. Cooldud and Step Bro may be two different people. That's a side issue and hardly the point. The point is PHUB and XILED are the same people and they're clearly transferring ports which is strictly against the RVR rules. Hence me citing B15hop. If this concerns Cooldud he might want to come forward and clarify the misunderstanding. Spain might want to enforce a few rules in their own nation.... but if permissive rule breaking is fine by them, well maybe Spain deserves any punishment that might, or might not occur. Good comment.
I think you may have overlook my first sentence. I know that there was a rule set about RVR, which also got enforced on the war server years ago, but since the f2p server is online I have not seen/heard about a single punishment for similar/same rulebreaks from the devs/admins. I also don't see why that has anything to do with the spanish nation nor Cooldud. Punishment for such rulebreak has to come from a higher authority, there are not many options for a nation to sanction a clan anyway (besides not helping each other). Besides that, it seems like XILED doesn't even need the help of spain if I interpret the outcome at Ambergreace Cay right
Have to say mate your wrong on the step bro cooldud thing as cooldud was fate and was core/cfs last season there completely different people (have sailed with both) but you missing the reason why we left (MTG clan leader here) we left because of how toxic GB clans were to us (mainly socks) and wanted to join a nation that would help us not call us alts ever 5 minutes
I get that. I could easily have joined pirates or Spain (had many offers), but I didn't want the easy ride where my newer clan members wouldn't get a chance to be in port fights. Enjoy Spain.
@@MostlyHarmlessEntertainment Well one of the reasons they left GB specifically because there were no pvp fights to be had for them as most GB clans stay in the green zone and have no intention to help outside of it, so those new people actually experience the game, that can only happen in a nation that is pvp orientated, look at the pvp kills of GB max 20 across all clans, that is pathetic, France has 100+ from one clan. It is more difficult in other nations, not the easy road.

I love the game so much. Devs change to much every patch like they made chains useless atm. But still i play for fun not to try hard. I'm pretty good at aiming and manual sailing. I just started going after higher rate ships outside the safezones but the ganking is a real thing haha. So group missions are pretty much the new Meta for leveling i guess. I really miss the Dutch nation. I'm playing in the GB because i like the community in there. Everyone is ready to help each other but i don't like how the just give away some of the ports. Like the pirates now have some of our shallow ports and getting like the tobacco tax what such be gb owned
Yeah.. these devs go a bit overboard in "tweaking" their game.

I wish that trading would be better that it would worth the risk going to the other side of Caribbean and they shouldn't have deleted rare wood chests from missions that was my only rare wood source for my ships (I believe that was the case for most solo players). Other than that we defend against CFS reasonably fine in RVR but they have gotten really good this season even with somewhat inferior cannon dispersion they are on target and they are well organized I got to give the credit to them despite that I have no love for them.
You can buy rare woods from most shops. It's expensive, but available.

@@MostlyHarmlessEntertainmentI know but rare wood events were my only Pve joy (once in while you need it after long work week you just don't want to play by putting your mind in it) after they kind of messed with trading system. Now I just log in for RvR with dlc ships, I used to get sank in coffins made from rare woods.
So, GB clans were having to fight Spain and the Pirates, asking help from other GB clans, which refused to stay in their easy portion of the map, and people are mad that ports that were captured and defended by some people were kept when they transfered to a nation willing to help. Nice
I think you are missing the point. Regardless of the back story or lack thereof, you cannot switch nations and take your ports with you. This is clearly against the developer's rules.
