Coolest longbow R1 takedown, 

This looks like the Mandarin Duck Devourer I just bought one and it is an awsome bow...

I think the wax is to grease the Socket Connection, help stop it binding.

Such a cool bow. My daughter has a 68" Buck Trail Black Hawk longbow. It's a real pain to just take in the car (small sedan) to the range. Can't imagine what a pain they must be to ship to anywhere in Australia. At only 60" these aren't legal for the Archery Australia longbow category so not a option for us.

I shot and made laminated longbows for many years and the sad truth is nearly every factory produced long has " after shock". It can be hard to impossible to get rid of it. You may or may not be able to feel it but it will irritate your elbow to the point of severe pain.
