For those of you asking what pond this is- This is kind of my fault for making the title suggestive, but due to overfishing and respecting people who regularly fish here, I won't give away the name of the pond but if you do some research you should be able to find it.
Pretty sure i know this spot. If its the one im thinking of those guys actually meet there everyweek for a small fishing tournament i wanna say its thursdays that there usually there but i forget.
Not a lot of people outside of Massachusetts know how good freshwater fishing in Massachusetts is, saltwater is well known, but freshwater fishing here is amazing, we have so many varieties, I am happy I was raised here.
You are absolutely insane we actually have the worst freshwater fishing in the country in terms of diversity by far out of any state besides maybe RI and it’s not even close
Agreed, the Groton and Dunstable area is absolutely lights out for bass and trout. I hesitate to tell people about certain areas of that region because it’s so good…but even the well known, pressured waters like squannacook and lost lake are world class fisheries, IMO.
I know I’m a little late to this video but how do you usually throw your bandito bugs? I just picked up some googan baits and I’m wondering how I should throw them.
I've been using them since spring and haven't gotten a even a bite yet??? They're watermelon, red flake. What's going on?? Lol. I was ready to give up on em but I guess I'll keep trying!
Moved to Mass and have have some luck on crank baits and other moving baits. Haven't had a bite on anything on the bottom. What time of year should I be throwing what? I'm from Minnesota and I guess it's just a little different
Usually stuff on the bottom should work year round. I think the spring is best for bottom fishing especially early on when they are sitting close to the bottom and moving baits are too fast/high in the water column. But with all that being said it depends a lot on the body of water you are fishing. Ponds with more weeds and plant life I have the best luck with moving baits but clear rocky bottom ponds I have a lot of luck on the bottom.
I live in central mass and I have a tube or texas rig with a bullet weight setup at all times. There's never an off season for bottom fishing. Especially around structure like in the video
The Massachusetts state record Large Mouth came out of a cranberry water retention pond in SE MA. There are 100s of them from 1acre to 50 acres plus. They are all on private property and the growers don't take kindly to trespassers BUT, when your cruising around and see someone working their big stop and ask to fish. I always tell them I'm an extra set of eyes making sure no one is on the bogs or doing anything else that's uncool. Asking politely works. Not always but often enough.
Hey I live in Northeast Massachusetts and I’ve been looking for a good pond to fish there are a few ponds around me with decent fish the biggest I have caught was a 7 1/2 pounder I would love to know the name of that pond keep up the good work
I live near Melrose bunch of alright little ponds nothing with size around there. Mystic is good in Medford got a few 5s out of there and Charles river is good over in waltham. Also if u got a smaller boat the Sudbury river in wayland is good
I asked where you fish and am sorry about that. I can catch monsters like you do in the ponds I fish it's just when you fish it looks super easy. I've just started fishing soft plastics like the Bandito Bug with super success, so....... Keep up the good work, maybe I'll see you out where I fish(west of 91)
I came to Massachusetts a spoiled fisherman from western NY fishing Lake Erie I'm now 33 and completely turned off from the sport I once loved so much from the crap fishing :/ I get that giving up a good spot will kill it but goes to show how bad fishing is in this state! good video though bro
@@jamie.777 lol,I have alot more gear than you can imagine, most likely skill than you too.throw medium heavy and baitcaster away?! Hahaha. That's just one of about 30 combos baitcast and spinning buddy.if you reread my comment I said in the beginning I came from fishing Lake Erie.fishing is trash in Mass compared to great lake fishing!!!!
@@jamie.777 aren't you the same guy who commented not to use googan plastics? And just senkos? Now you're talking about skill and finesse 😂😂 somebody get a load of this guy
So you’re saying that fishing in the capital of fishing is bad? Massachusetts is the home of some of the biggest fish ever caught in the entire country from tuna fishing off the coast of Gloucester to ponds all over the North Shore out into central mass in the Berkshires where there are great places to go fly fishing. We literally supply the world with fish so this comment makes absolutely no sense
I know, I hate these youtubers "crushing" it and whatever.. dumb spoiled d bags spending mommies money on "killah" gear. They are punks, zero support and F there "sponsahs"
