@@savagem74 It's the sensor 90% of the time or more but you can swap relays to see if you have bad relay with other relays for other stuff that are the same in the fuse box with same # on relay hope that helps but I bet big money it is the coolant sensor.

My 2014 traverse was red lining and I seen your video and changed the engine coolant temp sensor and the temp goes to about 230-240 and idles there and doesn’t go any higher, and fan runs for about five minutes after shutting off, before it would run for about 10-15 minutes. Would you know why it would be doing that and should I replace the fan relays?

Mine the fan stayed on in the morning so I didn’t run if shut it off disconnect battery now it don’t start, showing it’s on temperature but yet it starts hesitation shuts immediately off dose that one day next day starts but with faun on again

i have a 2010 Hyundai Tucson my fan comes on when i start the car and stays on and goes off when i turn the car off i changed my relays so that wasn't it so i'm thinking i need to replace my cooling fan controller module i just have to locate it on my car i know it's by the fan. i changed my temperature sensor in 2019 maybe i will check it

So I have a 2014 Chevy traverse. I'm having this problem right now. Yesterday the fan continued to blow and it completely drained. My battery. Found out from inspection that there was hardly any coolant in the coolant reservoir so I put coolants in there. I drove the car to work and the fan eventually went off. This morning. My wife went to the store and came back parked in the fan Continued to blow. I eventually unplugged the fan from the battery. The fan stopped. Is this going to be a problem going forward if I keep the fan unplugged?

Do you have any videos on radiator fan balance or adjustments? When I turn the A/C on, and the fan start turning, there is a clicking/rubbing noise each rotation...?

My A/C works fine and the temp gauge reads normal but sometimes the fan stays on all the time and sometimes it stays off. Bad relay perhaps.

My Yukon Denali started out with AC cutting off from time to time. Then my cooling fan would stay on for about 5 minutes after the truck was cut off. Haven't purchased anything yet. Cooling gauge inside truck on dash reads cold all the time

EXACT same issue with my 14 Silverado . Last night fans wouldn’t stop I was freaking out thinking it was AC . Because they are common issues with these compressors . Also I’ve had TONS of issues with this vehicle that cost thousands of dollars so since there was no CEL I thought here comes another 1800$ repair so thank you so much for clarifying what no one in the forums could clarify !

Does anyone know at what temperature the fans supposed to kick on on this car models? Mine kicks on at 216F but I think they turn Kick on little too late. I thought the ideal temp was 200F

I think it runs most of the time but it runs at different speeds I'm not saying it's supposed to run all the time but the majority of the time the fan runs but just at a lower speed rather then at fast speed all the time which is the problem this video tells how to correct

You can check the fan relays & swap them with other relays in fuse box that are the same relay but I doubt this is the issue but worth checking but like 90% of the time it is the coolant sensor also probably not the fan fuse if fan is running & has power lol my 2 cents.

@@rodneyg45 no i haven't. I bought the fan relays but haven't changed them. I notice the temp gauge goes up n down now. Up when parked down when driving. Keeps going down on a long trip then gets below 160 then it happens. I keep a drill in my truck with a bit that fits my battery so i just disconnect it if it happens. Its happened 3 times. As soon as i get a day off im replacing the relays and the temp gauge je talks about in the vid. When i do i will comment

I verified this morning with dealership it's the coolant temperature sensor. They want $350 to switch it out smh. Not letting them do it.

I 'm landing on this video today 2/16/21 because I literatly just coasted home in my 2013 acadia with a engine overheat light on, weird because my oil was just changed a few weeks ago. Yeah I just coasted into my driveway and turned the vehicle off and puled the key and notcied the fan was still runing LOUD! I thought this thing is a bout to BLOW! But I when back in to try and turn it over real quick and then shut it down again and yes the fan turned off. I wonder what would cause this thing to suddenly overheat?

Your thermostat needs to be replaced amzn.to/2NyqrPE it is stuck closed & not opening causing vehicle to overheat!!! Don't drive it till it is replaced it can easily blow engine if it gets to hot from overheating!!!! That 100% your issue!!!

Also make sure your coolant was not low this could cause it to over heat also with a closed coolant system that has coolant overflow tank & coolant fill all in one!

My fan would not run. Tested the fan it was good. Tested relays they were good. Unplugged temp sensor and bypassed with a wire. Started vehicle and fans ran finally. Shut off vehicle fans would not stop running. Pulled out bypass wire and plugged sensor back in. fans still ran so I had to unplug the fans. I still think I have a bad sensor but weird they wouldnt stop running after the bypass.

it's the coolant temp sensor that tells the fans when to kick on & how fast to run cause that how it determines when cooling fans should run & how fast so if temp sensor is broken it just runs the fans full blast all the time cause it don't know how hot coolant actually is.

It can be 100 different things,,changed many things, (temp.sensor first)didnt solve,relays.what not,.didnt solve,,,then it solved on its own,,just like it started,,,wtf,,I was investigating this issue for like 10 dayz all over the net..Seems to be biggest mystery of all things,,it can be literally 100s of different things across all make of cars..
