A friend told me about this song.... I lost my beautiful wife of 29 years to a very aggressive form of cancer in January, 2024.... Her kindness and love has left a huge hole in my families heart. This song is so beautiful and captured my thoughts and our life together. We experienced the "slow good bye" and grieved together as the cancer overtook her body. My 15 year old nephew lost his battle to Osteosarcoma last week on July 18, 2023. This song was definitely a gift from god as I needed a song I could really get behind. I wish I could afford to fly you out to sing it at his celebration of life but every penny I can spare is going to the family to help them were given 3 days to mourn the loss of their only child and that's not enough.

Just heard song for the first time. I bured my Lucy (Lynzee Ford Kilgore Texas in 2014). I hate cancer. Her story went world wind. My heart is hurting. What does a mom do. She said Stay Calm and Never Give Up to fight no matter what. I honor of my daughter wishes and I will keep paying it forward till my last breath. My town was by her side all the way. My family had the joy of our daughter for 55 years and lost her Christmas 2023. I unexpectedly came across this song and sent it as a "memorial" to the Family Whats App on her anniversary. Our family has endured so much pain in the last year. We lost my Grandma last February on Valentine's Day, 10 days later we lost my Dad, and 4 months later we lost my Grandpa. I lost my dad to numerous types of cancer 2 February 2023. I had to watch as the cancer tore through his body. At the end after 3 days of constant moaning he lost the battle and all that was left was skin and bone, nothing else. Today is 14 months since his passing. I get very emotional on every 2nd day of every month. I know it sounds cruel, but I prayed that God would just take him, so that he didn't have any pain anymore a d I know he's in a better place where he doesn't hurt anymore..... This song has helped so many of us get through the death of my nephew. He had just called his dad saying he was sorry for running late, but was picking up the medallion (cum laude) he would wear at his graduation. He was heading home and they could go get mom from the airport. That was the last conversation as he was killed in an accident 10-15 minutes later a mile from his home. Tomorrow would have been his 21st birthday. He was so excited about beginning his new job in aerospace and had fallen in love and they were planning a life together.
