Cooper, you could play an unbranded 80s laminate wood acoustic from China bought from a catalogue and still make it sound good. Awesome guitars, awesome playing and feel.
Fabulous playing on five excellent guitars. That OM Martin in Cooper’s hands is magical. Congratulations and all the best to you and your bride. Happy New Year to all!
Congratulations Cooper! Wow! the sustain on the OM was amazing. I also like the first fender you played. All sound great especially with you playing them. Have a happy New Year!
Hey Cooper, yet another great video displaying your amazing playing skills and love for music and guitars! Thanks for all of your help with my guitar purchases, congrats again on your marriage, designing guitars with Martin, and look forward to an exciting 2023!!
Congratulations Cooper! Every guitar you play becomes a must have for me. I think that means that I need to practice more. In any case, I will continue to listen! Thank you.
Happy Boxing Day and 2023! Thanks for saving your best for last, Cooper! (and for giving Chris a guest appearance in this video.) After "three services in sixteen hours" according to our choir director Sunday morning, I've been resting and can now report that my fingerprint-less guitarist friend (enjoying his weekend not having to play) told me Saturday evening and Sunday morning that since the Santa Cruz Parabolic Tension guitar strings (light) that he recently put on his Taylor 814c sound so good, he found Santa Cruz strings on Amazon (mediums for his favorite, the Guild F50-R,of which he now has 3, for replacements), but ordering from SCGC was cheaper and a relationship develops. Mele Kalikimaka, Hauoli Makahiki Hou! from tropical north Idaho. 2023 looks like celebrating with the SCGC strings replacing Elixirs on the Cole Clark Angel RD-BL... and maybe the all-solid Jeff Bridges signature Breedlove concert. The Dude Abides...
I like ALMOST everything about the Alamo Martin Custom Shop OM-28. I cannot see to restring the B and E strings on a slotted head, and I would play it enough to need strings a few times a month, or more. Love the prototype I got and the OM. Thanks Cooper and Chris
Congrats on your wedding/ marriage Cooper! I’m surprised the JV Tele made your top 5 list. I bought one and I couldn’t return it fast enough. No question it was absolutely beautiful, however the pickups, hardware and electronics were sub par at best. I was tempted to keep it and replace all hardware, electronics and the pickups, but when I added up the cost for all the parts and the labor, it would have put me into the same price range as a used Custom Shop or new American series Tele, so I decided to just return it.
Cooper- you're my favorite for demos- great playing. Revstar doesn't get enough love. I own 2- bought both this year- the new standard iwith p90's and the 1st generation rs320 with humbuckers. My favorite is the rs320. I have a few other guitars but the revstars are the best.
I feel you should have done a top5 acoustic and top 5 electrics, but maybe that's overkill of top 5 lists. Your number one is a beautiful looking instrument and great-sounding from what I can hear over you tube.
Hey Cooper! Happy New Year! Best wishes to you and your family! The very same to Chris and his family! I'm blessed with a couple of Martin dreadnoughts. D-41, and D-18. I Never really thought about the OM. The tone is amazing! You both really play so well. Now I have the bug again. As I get older, I find the smaller scale guitars more comfortable to play. I've told my lovely wife I'm really satisfied with the guitars I have. She never believes me. Smart lady. Thanks a lot Cooper.
I am in Chiang Mai and on Christmas Day I was in a bar and someone was playing some beautiful jazz tones (and jazz is not my thing) and I was absolutely digging it. It was only when I was leaving that I noticed she was playing a Revstar standard.
Congratulations, Coop!!! I wish you and your bride much health and a life full of happiness!!! God bless you both!!! That #1 Martin is a stellar guitar!!!
I always enjoy your’s And Chris’s reviews. I find them both entertaining and extremely informative. After watching your review of the 000-16 Streetmaster I was fortunate enough to purchase one from you All. It’s a wonderful guitar and have received many compliments on its sound. Coop… congratulations on your recent marriage and I look forward to continue doing business with you all. Happy New Year! ✌️
Merry Christmas guys, hope you all have a fantastic New Year as well. That custom OM Martin is absolutely gorgeous, I own two American made Martins and I love both of them ( they aren’t custom shops ) but if I ever were to go for a third it would most probably be this one you picked @ #1 Cooper, very tasteful without too much bling going off the cliff man. Love your channel guys, thank you. Tommy~
Great OM tone. Imagine after it opens up. I sure hope people hung around for the Boogie at 24:50. Congrats on the marriage. Wishing you many, many years of contentment with plenty of kids, grandkids and great grandkids to teach guitar to.
That custom OM is a stunning guitar. It really sounds like a master luthier built guitar. Love the design too. At the cheaper end, I dig the Furch OM designs in that style, like the Furch Vintage 2 OM. And the Yamaha FS5 red label is an understated beauty, especially without the pickguard. Sounds and looks rich, warm and woody but beautifully balanced. But what I'd really like is for Guild USA to expand the their line to include a made in the USA spruce / natural OM model. A smaller body, sweeter sounding fingerstyle oriented friend to compliment to the D-40. I can afford the Guild Westerly OM-120 now. I tried it and do think I will buy it. It's damn good - and not just for the price. But, I'm also saving my pennies, and next year could afford a Guild USA M-20/D-40, Furch Blue/Green/Vintage 2 or FS5. But I'd really go for a Guild USA OM if they will just make one. I don't think I'm the only one hoping for one. So if you guys have Guild's ear please do some 'luthier whispering' :)
The all guitar's character is too diffderent and fields are too. but i believe Alamo Music Center and you and you.Your skills and ears are greate. You gave me a lot of inspiration and knowledge. thank you all this year, and i wish your happy coming yea🎉from Japan.
Hey Cooper I grew up in Spanish church the intro on the jv modified tele sounds like Spanish hymn song ‘mi pensamiento eres tu, it might be a coincidence, you are an awesome player God bless
Number 5 - Expensive guitar Number 4 - Expensive guitar Number 3 - Expensive guitar Number 2 - Expensive guitar And Number 1 - Our personalized custom Expensive guitar.
Adam , your playing style inspires me to work my way back from to playing since I had a stroke , the Guild F55 , The Taylor 500 series, and that Martin OOO35N gorgeous sound I’m looking to purchase a Taylor or that gorgeous Guild F55 deluxe Do you have a Guild F55 deluxe Buying it used might save a few hundred
I have a 0000 15sm but like the normal spruce look.. Love your custom... Slotted headstock... Martin logo down the neck like a serious guitar... Looks so cool
I have found that tone is what you get before you put your hand on the neck of a guitar. I feel that you would make a $100.00 guitar sound better than I would make a $5000.00 guitar sound. You got skills!
I like the OM you had done for you but...$6k plus is a little out there for me. I have been on one stage or another for 35 years and would NEVER take this with me anywhere, for fear of it being stolen. So, I believe I will stick with the OOO-16 (probably used) you recommended on one of your other vids. Just my 2 cents worth. Peace.
The 000-16 and the OM do sound quite similar here…maybe not in person, especially playing different tunes. If I were to put a k&k in them no difference…
Any enthusiast making a top 5 list of anything inevitably ends up with 10 , honorable mentionings and a claim that many more deserve to be on the list but it had to be limited ........ GREAT.
