these parents seem to lose their child often taking pictures of her wherever they go..a 8 yr old should not be unsupervised swimming in ocean...a current can pull her out or even a shark can pull her under the water...small child is appetizing to a shark like a seal is to them....parents should be arrested for child neglect
Taking a current picture of your kid before they go missing is actually a good idea. Now you can now tell authorities what your child looks like and what she was wearing before she disappeared.

Premonitory Pictures... a mother's/woman's intuition is no joke. But this does seem like it happens often with this family; see the way the girl gave a little creepy wave at the officer before he even stopped his vehicle? Gave me a little chill...
As all parents of young children know these incidences can happen in a blink of an eye despite all precautions. I bet most parents can think of close calls due to not paying attention to their child for a split second.

@@Xane_Dragon Yet she was honest enough to say she was not paying attention. She seems like she will do well. She took way more responsibility than the parents
You gotta have an extra chromosome or something to not know how to swim. Even if the parents didnt teach them usually they'll learn if they've been in the water enough.

I grew up in a family of nine we learned that if we went anywhere to watch out for one another and my parents would do a headcount whenever we were supposed to be together. So places like Chucky cheese we would run off and do our own thing mainly in groups of two to three and then regroup. Even at the beach around that age we mainly were unsupervised.
When i was 8 i always hated how my parents told not to go deep, bro i know how to swim. I don’t blame the parents, children aren’t that stupid and the girl got herself safely to the beach
Seems like the parents weren’t paying attention, the child shouldn’t have gone missing in the first place. Everyone takes a pic of their kid in new outfits
Yeah exactly. The kid was swept away in the ocean. The girl was like I didn’t even notice. Uhhhh that’s insane. As a parent I can’t imagine how that could happen.
@@PsychiatricnerdI know! Like watch the child swimming, don’t take your eyes away from your child. How can a parents take off their eyes off their child/children who is in the water? I can’t do this. Can’t be too comfortable.
Taking the photo on the day the child is lost is an amazing coincidence. If parent was so concerned, why was the child not better supervised? Something is odd in this story.
what? you think mom put that ridiculous purple body suit on her child, and told her to walk down the beach and called police, just to get more followers in facebook? how dare you!!!

Her parents should be charged for negligence! Show can you let her go wander off AT A BEACH which can be second to none for drowning risks. Pathetic that the mother is so calm. Proves her complacency and negligence. Yet we have people celebrating this negligence.
When my older son was that age, either my husband or I was right next to him when he went into the water. Even now, as an almost 12 year old, I wouldn’t think of taking my eyes off him if we were in the water.
Something people do in other countries is when a child goes missing, the parent shouts five year old blond girl wearing purple. Others join in and it spreads quickly. When the child is found, they start clapping, and that spreads also and the parent finds out quickly. Such a smart mom to take a picture right when they got there.

@catherinescastle I think some people just want to see the world burn. If the RU-vid commenters had their way, every parent ever would have a life sentance in jail the moment their kid slips away from them for any reason.
This could have ended terribly I’m so happy she was found safe. The Leo is a sweetheart how he asks his if she needs a hug instead of making her feel uncomfortable doing so without permission.
I’ve taken a picture of my child the same way when he was small keep your eyes on your kids the best you can remember somebody could put them in a duffel bag and walk away pretty damn quick
Also pro tip: if you lose your child in a big crowd just yell out what she/he is wearing and someone has to speak up! Instead of panicking because they won't help at all if you're just screaming and panicking you need to describe them out loud so the crowd could hear you and swear at least one person will say "I found her/him" That mother is smart for taking a clear picture of her daughter right before she wondered off.
How do you lose your child at a public beach???? I always stay close to my little one especially at the beach!!!! God forbid that someone would take her or that she gets swept in a current. I live near south Padre Island and this past weekend a 14yr old girl got swept away in a current... sadly she didn't make it and her body was found the next day. I hope the parents learned to keep an eye on her I just thank God she was found right away and safe 🙏.
That's some great Mom stuff right there! May I add mine? If you need to leave your minor child in the care of someone while traveling outside the area, compose a "Permission to Treat" Document, print, both parties sign. It includes contact information, allergies, PCP contact, etc. It should indicate the time frame that it's considered active, and that a good effort to contact you should be made prior to seeking care, unless it's a life-threatening situation. Hopefully you'll never need it, but you'll be grateful you had it if you did need it.
I’ve always done that for the same reason bc I’m always paranoid something will happen. People always gave me negative comments but I just disregard it and continue doing what I need to do to keep my child safe.
I just read about something that happens on southern American beaches, if a kid gets lost, the person who finds them puts the kid in their shoulders and starts clapping. Then others join in; the kid up on shoulders can be seen, and the clapping attracts the parents! Great idea.
