These kids were found alive years after they went missing. In 2022, Utah deputies made an astonishing discovery after approaching a man who was cold and down on his luck. In 2021, there were tears of joy when a family in China was reunited after over two decades. In 2023, a British boy who went missing at 11 years old in Spain was found years later safe in France. Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall has more.

@@redbrixanimations it's not like it's guaranteed that is how that man would have acted towards a daughter or anything, but older Asian culture puts a lot of emphasis on the importance of sons. China's "one child" policy led to many Chinese daughters being abandoned or adopted outside of the country because everyone wanted their one child to be a son. I feel like there is a reason why Emily left! Biggest indicator is that her parents didn't come forward, her cousin did. The fact that she doesn't want them to know her location speaks volumes. I hope the police aren't looking at this as a closed case. There needs to be an investigation into her life prior to running away.
@GummyDinosaursify
@GummyDinosaursify 4 месяца назад
Looking into it further would require Emily to show up in court and/or give testimony, which would bring her in contact with the family she does not want to be a part of. It's entirely possible it's a case of her coming out as gay and the family essentially disowning her for it, but not telling the extended family what happened, hence the cousin.

You will not say that about any of the ppl who ruin their relationships, lives and finances and DON'T find their child. Those ppl, you'll lable very differently. Thus, let's not glorify, shall we? Because not giving up is one thing, but having your wife now having to worry about losing you, by getting into accidents repeatedly, is most certainly not what you'd call a good partner either. There is good measure for everything. Even for how to practice hope, without putting everything on the line. Also, what now? What a challenge for the found kid to know that father wrecked his health and finances. Can you imagine the emotional load that hits you? It's easy to pass judgements of all sorts, as a bystander, but reality is far more nuanced than that.

@@KxNOxUTA the reason people praise him is because of his determination and low resources. I'm very worried about the one with Emily because she could have ended up abducted and graped ... and held against her will and had a child or two with that person and because she loves her kids so much has tried not to escape and accepts her fate or has Stockholm Syndrome . There's got to be a reason she doesn't want to see her family and unless they had done something nasty or harsh to her something's not adding up with her wanting her family to have no part of her life . I hope that somehow a detective can find where she lives and they can watch her to see if they see anything weird to corroborate what I've said . Or she could want to be with the family and maybe they threatened her saying you'll never see your kids again if you visit your folks . I had a very good friend who left home when she was 16. She hated her father and her brother, but she loved her mother. She would endure having to encounter the others just to see her, but most of the time she only agreed to meet if it was just her mum. I had one experience with being with both her parents for a short car ride. I immediately understood why she hated him. He was the coldest, most ignorant, most arrogant and controlling man I had ever met. I was only in his company for ten minutes but it was the most uncomfortable ten minutes of my life. I have never met a person who could make me loathe their character in such a short time, so I instantly understood. When he died my friend celebrated. She refused to attend the funeral. I have no doubt there was more that I was never told. Emily reminds me of her. For her to run away, and to not want contact, something bad has gone on in that family and she doesn't want to tell them, or they wouldn't believe her if she did. So instead of causing more pain and drama, she's getting on with her life away from all of them.

I did not get a good feeling about her at all and I think it's possible that she could have ended up in a situation where she could have been abducted and graped if you know what I'm saying and gotten pregnant and had a child or two ... And what if she has something like Stockholm syndrome where she's still with that person and what if they told her to lie and say she's doing good or she'll never see her kids again
@gardensofthegods

She certainly did not look happy even though she tried to give that impression you could feel how uptight she was so something's not right . She didn't say anything that her family had been mean to her and that's why she left or that it was an abusive household . I think the family needs to find out from the police if they know where she lives and hire a private detective to find out what's really going on with her .

Shared a similar experience with these families. At the beginning of the Russo-Ukrainian war, the mother of my godmother went missing in Ukraine. The apartment complex she lived in was bombed, and while most of the family held hope that she was still alive, we understood the likelihood of the alternative. Just recently we were able to make contact and confirm her whereabouts in a refugee camp. If you're a family in a similar situation never give up!

The last case of the boy who went missing aged 11 is truly shocking, the fact that his mother and Grandfather were able to bring him out of the country when they should not have been allowed as neither had legal right. They were given permission to take him on holiday but didn't bring him back. They then moved around as part of a "spiritual commune" and he stayed with them until he decided to "leave". Although, considering he was walking at night and sheltering during the day, and this was in winter, I'd say it was more a case of escaping rather than leaving.
