In this video I show the actual footage of me getting pulled over by a cop. This was the first time I've rode on the highway on my honda rebel 250 in the day. I wasn't use to all the cars riding by me and I got nervous because I didn't want to be in anyone's blind spot especially on a 250 so I thought it was safer to go into the HOV lane. I went over those double white lines and then saw the flashing lights behind me. After initially getting pulled over, I didn’t have the correct license and apparently my registration got expired. So I ended up getting 3 tickets.

@@phoenixarizona8441nope anything between 50cc and 150cc needs a class L license. Anything above 150cc needs class M license. The reason many mopeds and scooters can be driven with only a D license is that they only have 49cc engines.

Ive never seen a moped with an engine bigger than 50cc. A lot of the time scooters are referred to as mopeds but unless you can use pedal power its not a moped. All mo no ped

I had CMX250 too and just didn't get enough power...i think max I can get is like 70-75. Man you must be on full throttle on 5th gear with 250...........have fun!! Still a fun bike to ride haha

We all make mistakes, you pulled over and admitted you made a mistake, it's how we learn. I think the police could have gotten by with 1 or 2 citations but kudos for taking the lumps you knew you had coming. Hope you ride MANY more miles.

A motorcycle temp, at least here in Ohio, means; No highway, no busy streets, no passengers and no riding at night. And yes, they are very serious about these! It's for your own safety and the safety of others. Which also means I can't go looking for abandoned store parking lots to practice. I'm surrounded by busy streets, & I90 is a stone's throw from my backyard.

Funny things from an Aussie point of view (maybe cause we're watching this upside down)... 1: A learner's permit down under does NOT allow you to have any passenger, licenced or not. 2: If we pulled over into the center of the highway, that would probably be another ticket, along with a smartarse 'how dumb are you mate' attitude from the copy. And 3: Expired registration means an automatic court date, and you'd definitely have to call a truck. So I think this went pretty well actually lol. USA! USA! USA!

No license, expired registration, did he ask about insurance? It's a $500 fine for no insurance in my state, and a class 3 misdemeanor for crossing over the double white lines. I stay in the far right lane all the time, especially if I'm a bit slower than other traffic. Fortunately only one of those tickets was for a moving violation, so it shouldn't affect you insurance too much. I hope you have insurance.

No offense but this isn't the cops fault. Sure, he could be lenient, but that's not his job. This guy wasn't driving legally and he had those 3 tickets coming. All of this was preventable. Kudos to the rider for taking responsibility though.

I was confused about your ticket for not having a license holder with you. In Pa so long as you have a license for any other vehicle, so just a regular car/truck license, you can ride alone with your permit. That blows man

Also. I got a portable jump starter from Walmart for like 60 bucks. Size of a cellphone. Can start a v8 if haven't got 1 get 1. I'll hit u with a link if u need. It's a life saver and i take it everywhere. Charges cellphones too.

In Tennessee the learners permit means you have to stay within a certain miles radius of your home address. Not ride with someone…

Too bad you got so many tickets. Probably shouldn't ride the rebel in the left lanes of an interstate (be ok in the right lanes). At least here in FL the left lanes are too fast for a Rebel. You should try starting with kickstand up, in case that is the issue. Also, you can push start it.

Even with a dead battery, if you pull it up into 2nd gear you can push start the bike easier than you'd think.

I don’t think you were in neutral. I just took my first real drive home with temp tags, from 45-60 it just feels like it revving up but there’s no 6th gear to shift into. Also my hands froze, I’ll have to get one of those handlebar mitts or something. Just interesting how the suggested shift speeds aren’t accurate past second gear!

Also trying to get it to idle without any choke at a stop and not die is another whole issue. Maybe it doesn’t like the cold

People like this are the reason there's so much regulation and restrictions regarding motorcycles. Don't drive without proper licensing. Don't drive a 250 in the fast lane of the interstate. Don't drive with expired tags. Don't cross double solid lines. Stupid is as stupid does.

The Rebel is the easiest thing to clutch start. Chuck it in second or third, sit on the bike, walk it with your feet and let the clutch out.

hi i just wanted to ask something, did you try to start the engine in neutral or with the foot rest up? because if its down you cant start it(even if the battery is new fyi)

I guess it might differ from bike to bike, but I could start my bike with the kickstand down..I just couldn’t put it in gear.

@@daviddraper6240 if its stuck on neutral then you can start it on neutral with the kickstand down,unless this model has no engine cut-off sensor built in the stand,then this nullifies my point i guess

When he went to start it the first time he had the kickstand down. On this motorcycle you can't start it with the kickstand down

I had the same kind of issue with my bike not starting. I had to get the stator fixed. It was kind of the officer to help you out.

Mine was just a battery issue. Once I got a new battery it worked perfectly fine

i know this is an old video , but i noticed the kill switch was on stop position ,,, bike wont start in that position , plus if the kick stand is down and u have it in gear even with the clutch handle pulled in it wont start , god bless , be safe

Take the boot off the starter motor and use the jumper cable to turn it over. Cam chain tensioner or exhaust nut is a good place to connect negative. Keeps all that amperage out of the system. Get a lithium battery. Led acid is stone age now.

What state are you in? Out of curiosity, I know in Massachusetts I just can't drive after dark or leave the state on a permit or have passengers but no need for a actual license motorcycle driver with me 🤔

You should actually have it in 3rd gear roll pop the clutch as soon as it starts pull the clutch back in and put it in 2nd and then go for it

Cops in my state don’t even mess with bikes much. Guys ride with no tag at all but cops won’t mess with us because they won’t chase us if we run off, it’s a bad look for them if the chase ends badly
