Talk about a stressful situation, officer driving walked away and left his partner alone twice panicked asking for backup multiple times. Officer Phil engaged the suspect and did not seek proper cover, phew he is lucky he is alive. As for the criminal… well he deserved every bullet he got.

The only reason I think the Officer, with body cam on, would run back towards the street is to look for street signs to call out location. As far as coming back to the scene, he should be handling the threat FIRST, it is too late to call his partner back from the pole, to take cover or even to go back and look for a street sign. Difference between people who can do their job under extreme stress and those who forget some of the basics under stress by leaving his partner alone twice, compromising concealment and checking for injuries before moving the gun or confirming suspect was dead. Definitely a crazy career and I’m glad these officers survived!

These guys face stuff like this in the blink of an eye. Ever wonder why they are concerned about where your hands are etc.? This is why. This is why when dealing with the police, just stay relaxed and do as they ask. If they ask you to get out of the car or put down the hammer, just do it. Man these cops need training on how to handle themselves under extreme stress and pressure. they're adrenaline made them forget all of their training which means they have not been trained enough. If they had been trained enough their instincts would have kicked in and taken over like we see in most police shootings but these cops were just walking all around screaming acting crazy.

So many things wrong with this scenario. Once they shot the individual, they should have rushed over to move the gun away and handcuff him. Second, why is his partner constantly running away from the scene and leaving his partner behind? His partner may have not gotten shot had he stuck by him and helped him…
