That's typically the language they use. I occasionally read press releases from police depts around my area of southern WV they post on Facebook, & they use that wording quite often. Like, "we assisted the suspect to the ground" when they tackle or slam someone on the ground.

I watch a lot of police cam videos and what struck me as I watched this young woman was just exactly how calm and well-mannered she was. I'm sure everyone has seen videos of young women of similar age who scream, kick, cry, curse, spit, bite, and generally make themselves look like disgusting degenerates. You are correct. That wasn't what law she broke. You are required to exit the vehicle if told. See Supreme Court Pennsylvania vs Mimms. It is reasonable to ask someone to exit the vehicle if they won't roll their window down.

@@custercrazyhorse8616 I have never had a bad interaction with police, and EVEN me I don't trust cops at all, like I wouldn't trust an officer to be my doordash driver much less be a person with a badge and a gun, mainly because it feels like the laws are kind of made to protect the officer instead of the citizen, for example I don't believe that an officer can lie to you, I think that needs to go ( obviously there would be very rare exceptions, like an undercover operation ) also when a cop pulls you over I think they should BY LAW have to tell you "Hi my name is X my badge number ( or what ever number identifies them ) is X the reason I pulled you over is X, can I have your license and registration please?"

Yep. A big part of the law suit if it gets to depositions and actual court will be to document the time from when the officer first walks up to her window to when he is jerking her out of the car. In his deluded mind he probably thinks a lot more time went by with her not cooperating when in fact it was very little time. Also the words he said to the other cop in describing what an ordeal he went through(🙄poor baby) admits this was all about her not readily obeying him and nothing to do with her breaking any laws other than the traffic infractions.

I had to push myself through watching this here on video and my bloods boiling. Time and time again, I see videos of grown male cops throwing and/or punching young girls and older/grown women as if their in the octagon. Maybe I’m just old fashioned I guess. But I will say that we should all pray for anyone in his and other like officers life. Pray for their wife’s, children, nieces and nephews, and even pets. I was thinking 15 years minimal in federal prison. I would also append a mandatory addendum to that. He would have to serve 6 months in a reeducation treatment program where that program involves attending a Marine Boot Camp program with a platoon of seasoned veterans who are all fathers of daughters that all know what he did and have access to all video and audio footage of this scene. Each night when he lies up in his bunk, they can all have a wonderful sock and soap party to wash that disgraceful filth away. Then when or if he completes this program will he begin his 15 year prison sentence. He ought to consider himself to be lucky he isn't charged with Treason! In the last few days I’ve seen cops beat up a 81 ye old man, a 18 yr old girl, and serving a papers for protective order to a 9 yr old at school. It’s not about lack of training. It’s about lack of humanity and simple decency
because they think and reinforce among one another that they are above other people. they think the law is something they dispense, and it only goes that one way, so they are worth more. for a lot of them, their ego gets blurred with their idea of state authority (because it can be reasonably argued that the degree to which people generally respect police has a big influence on hownmuch control the state has, although their idea of respect tends to be very crude, violent, and not very effective for this purpose), and whenever they feel like it, they treat anything they perceive as a civilian not meeting whatever very individually variable standard of displayed subservience they choose to expect as if that was an attack on the state. by which I mean that whenever they meet a member of the public in a situation where they have the authority to decide how much trouble to cause that person, they believe that they are entitled to one degree of a°°-kissing or another. it foes seem likely to me that this guy had a very particular expectation for the way he wants girls to talk to him, did not feel sufficiently gratified, and actually imagined a justification that it was the right thing to do for him to teach her a lesson about how his emotional needs are backed up by state authority. of course in reality he just felt like sitting on and handcuffing her. more often than not, people failing to meet a basic human standard of decency fail in that way because they imagine themselves to be categorically better than the plebs.
I am a Retired PA State Trooper. When I see an officer acting like this, it makes me sick. This guy is out of control. IMO, The officer should be fired and lose his clearance to be an officer in any department.
