I was a vehicle examiner in the met police loved the cars that had tampered vin numbers and engine numbers ground out and there was a method we used to get the engine number back and all the markings on the plastic would tell us what year. It was a great sense of achievement when you found out the correct Identity of the car. I would spend hours covered in grease but smiling from ear to ear. Great video keep up the good work.
Interesting comments from you professionals as to what is “an easy repair”. To some of us laymen the cars are just wrecks, but amazing what can be done when you know what you’re doing. Good video.
Love the walk around, use to do this in scrap yards pre H&S, this is when most cars were on the ground, went to a salvage place about 2 years ago and they had 5 bmw x5 ,s stolen and recovered at the docks, no damage and written off.
I'd say competitor's who haven't got the knowledge or contacts you both have, or a sore looser who wanted particular cars that you got and made a good drink on. Keep up the good work Rob, will we get a final video on Chris,s Morris
Yeah that x5’s key are huge because it has a digital screen on it and you can communicate with the car and do different features, good video ,use to love walking round looking at salvage 👍
I've mentioned this before Rob, but I used to work for Copart for a year as a hgv driver and the letter in a circle at the bottom of the screen denotes it's status on collection. We had to write that on there when we collected them. D means starts and drives, S means starts but not fit to drive, and N means nothing- I.E. will not start (no power).
Enjoy this channel find it very informative nice to see that newer cars with can be a pain track down ecu problems gone are the good old days when things where so much simple to work keep up the good work
Great walk around rob with you and Chris, very interesting the motors that they have there that havn't got a lot of damage, eagerly waiting to see yours and Chris's next salvage rebuild , keep the videos coming guy's
Love watching ur videos fun and informative.... with reference to the white c class sport at the beginning of this video ..I work for a vehicle recovery company in Kent who do the police contract.. i collected that car after the driver lost control on a bend and went thru a fence into a garden....on a separate note the dent wasn't in the boot when copart collected it from us some 3 weeks later ....😬 keep up the good work 👏
What a generous thing of Copart to do and I'm thankful that they did, that was very interesting, disagree on the Evoque convertible though, IMO they are hideous 🤷♂️, each to their own though, thanks for another great video.
Very repairable.......... bloody helI i wouldn't know where to start, but love to see you guys get on it and love seeing the end result, keep the videos coming. ......
i betunder normal circumstances that place is like Aladdin’s cave. I had a bit of a dribble on for the Merc e class convertible you showed but hey ho, no money and all that. Can’t wait to see what you winkle out of the woodwork next!
I really don't get the "number plate is private property" idea. It isn't! It's a (unique) visible identity assigned to a vehicle before it is used on the road, to enable tracing if/when it's involved in a crime. Personalised plates just make more/some people look at them, so are therefore less anonymous!
@@jamesbrett6518 It's just Rob doesn't want to show it over the internet as some people do weird things and cause trouble. Plus it tarnishes that cars history if a future owner sees it
@@sammytheseal2307their history is already tarnished by having a recorded category. Everyone is welcome to read my plate when I go for a drive. Some people get those impossibly dark plates, but there are no police around anymore to care!
James Brett hi James to be fair the only reason I hide them is you will always get a handful of people that think they are the only person that can do a REG check MOT history Etc. It’s crazy some people have Evan send me 8 years mot history on a car in the background once and it’s pointless so I try not to show them 👍
The walk around video is brilliant, I can hear in your voice how excited you are. Hopefully you'll go for that Range Rover Sport and it'd be good content if you could video the auction for it live
Lovely Jubbly, I remember going to big yards similar to this in my teens getting bits off cars, you could spend an afternoon in there, sadly those days are gone thanks to the EU.
Nice walk around mate, some high class motors there but they won’t go cheap the way things are now I bet but worth keeping an eye on them. I really like the E class and the Volvo they make really nice cars. I have a Volvo now for myself it’s great! Also that defender looks the business, even after a roll over i bet it would still drive lol
YESSS, a walk about... Big thanks to copart for letting you both do the walk about. Hopefully, an car auction they will allow you to film a live auction next. Great content......
Nice one lads very good video today hope all is well very inspiring love that cola sign and the wood burner for the winner and of course the play buttons and letter in the frame looks good
Nice video guys and at least u don’t have to wear wellies around the yards yet . I watch on a 4K projector 120 in screen with Sonos sound system and your pics are great !
Awesome video lads I've never been inside a copart so I really enjoyed it... Almost reminded me of looking round scrap yards with my Dad back in the day :)
Great video and fair play to co-part for allowing you to do so ,hopefully they will allow more , a request if i may ,could you do a video on what all the paint pen marks etc' on the screens mean please as that would be a great help quick video.
A welcome return to a walk around! Loads of potentially great projects there, would love to see a RRS & E Class on the channel, sure we will when the price is right. Wouldn't have a problem with see another Fiesta, just bought one on your recommendation, absolutely love it! Thanks guys.
Their is a channel in the US does exactly the same as you guys (not as well though), he does a walk around of his local copart every 3-4 weeks, he gives them a little shout out and they are more than happy to let him do it...
This is more like it. The British version of Auto Auction Rebuilds. More of the same when you have a spare moment or two please so we amateurs can see what's available before we spend our £50 to join Copart. Great vids, great advice.
The black vw with red pin stripe was my brothers pride and joy untill a car came round the corner on tue wrong side of the road and almost caused a head on he just got clipped behind the drivers door and then the rear wheel got ripped off which span him into a tree the other side of tye van is completely ruined 😔 was absolutely gutted!! Just glad hes still here so tell the story!
Rob, there's always going to be a few idiots who put thumbs down. Those that do I'm sure are just jealous of yours and Chris's success making quality, informative and interesting video content. They fact you make a living from doing what you do, and in addition a few quid from RU-vid is testament to you both. Keep it up and ignore the twa*$ who can't be helped. Cheers Mike
Another great video, keep them coming, would be good to see more walk around Copart videos to pick a few favourites and then see what they go for and if they were priced well or not, US you tuber Samcrac does this sometimes and a few Copart walk around....look forward to the next one👍
Another great video, great selection of cars but each one has its maximum purchase value to make any money on and at the moment people are paying more just to get hold of them, never loose sight of the fact that the profit is in the purchase price not the selling price. So no worries, we all know that things will happen, just keep on doing what you are doing guys, cheers.
Rob, even 1 owner FSH RR and RRS can be problematic with their electrics etc, I wouldnt buy an accident damaged or stolen recovered one if it was for myself or other half, as you'd be contstantly fault finding. They're great cars, I have a 2016 RR AB and its brilliant myslef, but even that main dealer car bought 12 mths old is not without its faults.
Hi Guys, well thats a first . Amazing to see copart giving you a bit of freedom . yep things are picking up slowly so hopefully you will score something in the coming days be good looking forward to de next vid cheers
Great video Rob. Chris was like a kid in a toy shop I was laughing at how fast he was scanning that yard . Some nice top end motors there pity they are expensive at the moment .
