Seeing that red dirt makes me homesick for Oklahoma. In my opinion Oklahoma has one of the best used car markets in the U.S.. In 2015 my business partner and I bought and sold 26 vehicles between the two of us. The used car economy in Oklahoma hasn't been taxed and regulated to death like so many other states.

Looked up the Silverado, on Copart it says it a Run and Drive and HAS KEYS!!!! Someone took them to get a good deal. Dirty Tactic!!!

Randy you are not an idiot, you were just but excited by the clean truck man.

Here's what you do. You score a car that had front end or rear damage rather than side damage, then you can easily shape a sheet of foam on a cnc table setup for super cheap with a cheapo dremel as the foam shaping tool, then you can make a very cool custom replacement part from fibreglass or carbon fibre which is alot cheaper if you buy it in rolls instead of premade parts. Turn a super low priced high end vehicle into something amazing and original, an art statement for only a song.

I would bid on the Corvette too. The regulator may have been install for a higher volume fuel pump to support the ProCharger. That said the higher volume would also have higher pressure and caused a fuel like to break spraying fuel on the exhaust manifold. This FIRE! Get it! I would.

Blue thing is a FMU. Fuel management unit. It senses boost and has a diaphragm that cuts off the return fuel and forces it to the rails. And it is a vortec blower not procharger.

Hey Randy yes bid on the Corvette. As long as you’re not gonna smoke those really expensive tires to death when she get it running it be great! It would be helpful to see rebuilding that wiring and such I think a lot of people don’t know what to do when they find real crunchy wires and how to resolve that problem so it would be good for that for sure at the very least and secondly because it’s a Corvette!

The corvette has a Vortech FMU, Vortech Standard Fuel Management Unit (FMU) is designed for use on multi-point electronic fuel injected engines. It is a secondary fuel regulator

11:25 Randy variable A/C compressor, it's always turning. They have no "clutch", the change the movement of the pistons but they're always engaged.

I had a Procharged LT1 in a '94 Camaro. Engine was all stock so ran about 4-5 psi of boost and at 4 to 4.5k rpm's was running roughly 330 hp at the rear wheels on the dyno. A stock LT1 naturally aspirated for the '94 Camaro was 275k hp at the flywheel. The Procharged LT1 had some kind of fuel hiccup, which is why we didn't rev the engine past 4 to 4.5k rpm's. I think the redline on that motor was maybe 5.2k rpm's. Look out with in town driving cooling issues on those LT1's. On that '94 Z28 and also a '95 Firebird Formula I experienced some summertime stop and go traffic over heating issues. Couldn't figure it out. On the Formula I installed an aftermarket kit to activate the secondary A/C fan and was able to overcome the issue.

I believe that you'll discover compromised fuel lines are the culprit ...and they found the issue quickly as evidenced by the limited damage. Those scratches say "jilted lover" to me🤣

I would definitely go with the jeep bc i have 96 jeep grand Cherokee 5.2l v8 and it just hit 250,000 miles and she is still running grate older jeeps are bullet proof man.

The crane box came with the older vortech v2s to help adjust the timing

I like the Corvette. These C4s are climbing in value. Timing belt on the Subaru are no big deal and can be replaced in a couple hrs.

The damage on the C4 wasnt even that bad you should try to buy it

Randy I'll tell ya about fire cars.. my love and joy caught on fire a year and a half ago and I'm slowly rebuilding it. The C4 isn't nearly as bad as mine was, but I had to replace my entire wiring harness and mine is just a 77, so way less technical. I also had to worry about brake lines and suspension. I'm sure you can fix it, I have no doubt, but be prepared to do a lot more to it than what you see, fire cars are a mess! But if anything, it will be great content and I do love the car! Not as cool as that Tacoma the last video, but to each their own haha, keep up the great videos

The c4 looks like an excellent interior and drivetrain parts car for the other two c4s you got

The blue thing on the vet is called an FMU- Fuel Management Unit. This should have a vacuum line. Its purpose is to shut off the return line to the fuel tank to boost fuel pressure to support the supercharger. Once it sees a lack of vacuum it closes the line. So without the vacuum line it won't work properly.

If memory serves that blue vortec thingy is the fuel management for the supercharger. I think it might be boost referenced so as it sees more boost it raises the fuel pressure

The Corvette would be a decent and interesting purchase I think. Keeps up the Corvette Randy image. Running in the first video and then off to Maaco for a fresh touch up. I have a feeling people will have a better idea what's possible when the Swamp Vette is back.

As you may know sometimes the key may be somewhere in side, especially if its is a keyless, just try the start button, it will tell you its detected .

Go for the vette. That blue gadget is an FMU. Like a fuel pressure regulator except It increases fuel pressure incrementally as the boost increases. Just do it. The super charger kit alone is worth double. I mean you could even part it off and make double.

Corvette has a FMU, Fuel management unit, it senses boost and adds fuel at a set rate as boost increases, and correct its missing the vac line.

A fire was under that hood that's your yellow and white area under the hood. My guess is that there was a small fire from a leaking valve cover and wires caught/ or a A.M. fuel system leak so I would check that as well with the lines under the hood. The motor will prob run, but I would replace the valve cover and gaskets/ wires. The wheels are a early C5 next gen corvette copy chrome set and the stripes are replicated C4 grand sport reproduction style stripes. The super charger usually has around 5-10 lbs of boost and will gain 100-120hp to the stock engine with no problems, it can be making as much as 15 lbs though doubling the stock hp but not likely.

You do have extra parts for a corvette ! May need steel lines on fuel side where rubber ones are ?and you save money on fixing if you get it ?
