Randy as I a retired insurance adjuster if a vehicle was stolen and the insurance paid out then the vehicle was found the insurance company will send the vehicles to auction to recoup what money they can.

It's an SE model. Good if it's a 2.0 since those are timing chain. If it's a 1.6 those use a belt so or would be 35k over for the change. Also those were recalled for issues with leaking fuel some did catch fire.
@Auto Auction Rebuilds you've been doing this a lot so I have a question, does it seem like it's becoming harder to find a good cheap vehicle, or I should say a cheap project car or truck? I'm asking because I've been trying to get a pickup truck for a long time now, and it just seems like they keep selling for way too much money now. At least what I think would be considered too much for a vehicle. What do you recommend?
Inside that van, you asked what was that thing on the headliner was. Limo companies had those vans and i drove the same one. It's a fiber optic light. Problems you'll have with it is rear ac issues. Making sense why that piece in the back was off.
That Econoline has the 5.4 L 2-valve Triton. People hate the 5.4 because of the newer 3-valve version that had a bad timing system, poor cam phasers, and a weak oil pump. But when Ford updated the Econoline in 2008, they didn't swap out the 2-valve for the 3-valve . . . it was physically too big. For all the haters out there, the 5.4 2-valve may not have been the world's greatest power-house, but it was rock solid and dependable. That Econoline would easily go another 150K, if it is maintained.

The last truck is a 95 or 96. 1997 is when they started putting passenger side airbags in the Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban 1500. The 1997-2000 2500hd and 3500hd had the rounded dash where the airbag would be but there wasn't a airbag in it. It was just a square cubby hole in the dash.
I had a 3500 6.5 tow truck years ago, it was great! 6.5 is decent if its under 300,000miles, the bottom end goes out of them. around 400,000 miles on mine when it went.

Buy the Toyota! My uncle has one and he's put 80k miles on it this year, it has the 4cyl and stick shift just like that one. Awesome little truck and somewhat rare to get that nice camper shell too!
My brother has got one of those ford vans and I kid you not he’s been driving that thing for a long and on long distances and he’s never taken it to the shop before. Only time it went to the shop was because he paid for some TVs to be installed for the kids with other cool features he did to it. But excellent van and very reliable as well
We call the hood a bonnet here in Australia and also the trunk is known as a boot here. The Ford Escape you first shown was badged as a Ford kuga here. Now ford have decided to re badge if we the Ford Escape. Australia had 3 engine options as well. The ecoboost or a 2.0litre petrol or a 2.0 litre turbo diesel.
i have a twin to the 93 toyota pickup... it is the fuel pump, bear to replace (remove bed) but that is what it sounds like. mine has 120k on it but runs as new. they are high in demand . i have been told you can get 400 k miles before you have to replace engine (if you take care of them)
the 6.5l gm diesel engine is a good motor. it has more power then you think. there's pretty good chance that the electronic injector pump, pmd, and pmd coolant pump is out. about $2000 in parts. very common issues with the 6.5l gm diesel. here's what happens the pmd coolant pump goes out. $70 to replace. the pmd gets hot and quits working $286 to replace. in turn the electronic pump quits working. $800 to 1500 to replace. the pmd coolant pump looks like an inline fuel filter. I had a 1999 2500 gmc savanna with that motor. the van got 19.72 mpg on average.
Also TIM those giant webs are from baby spiders doing what is known as "ballooning" They make those long big thick silky threads and fly in on them to travel distances.
Hey Randy Love all your videos You have my support. My dad and I brought used cars back in the 1990's and sold them we brought 15 a year and made money. Illinois allows you to have at the time 7 cars in your name. I had two brothers as well. So we could get away without a license so we could do up to 28 a year but didn't. Hear is what is stupid back in the 1990's Illinois would let you own a car at the age of 14. MY first car I owned legally but couldn't drive was a 1987 Lebaron Turbo Coupe black.

yep Bonnet in the UK rocker panels are Sills and and Fenders are Wings been watching so many american utubes starting to call wings, fenders here in Spain there is no word for Dashboard they have a complete sentence for it
Sometimes you can't get 3rd & 4th on the Toyota Hilux unless its running. It will make someone a good ute. My guess too that the fuel pump was bad. Shame its not the diesel.

Yota probably needs a clutch master cylinder I bet if you pump the clutch it will go into gear. The B2300 was decent I've had numerous small trucks the best ones in my opinion are Rangers or B- Series but basically at 1993 and newer they were the same trucks
I would definitely keep an eye on that old Toyota Pick Up. Like you said it could a fuel pump or an old Map sensor needed replacement. Manual transmission on those are easily rebuildable or there's plenty of good used manual trans. Overall looks in very good shape and they have high resell value.
Get the Volvo Randy I know those engines very well it is a very solid engine other than the interior being a little rough that's a good $3,200 car with the little scrubbing
@13:00 the Toyota you can't hear the fuel pump because it has to have a supply power from the mass airflow sensor... When the flap opens sucking air it turns the fuel pump on.. FYI I spent all day diagnosing that 22RE. 😂
Did you know the Mazda B2300 and Ford Ranger were the same truck 2300 meant that it had Ford 2.3L inline 4 and the Mazda B3000/ Ford Ranger The 3000 meant that it had the 3.0L Ford Vulcan V-6.

6.5 isn't a terrible diesel but they require you to fix issues that gm gave them from the factory a d they are not a powerhouse like a 7.3 or duramax or Cummins.
I Bet That 2013 Ford Econoline was donated by a hotel chain like Marriott/Hilton. I know we had a 2013 Same kind of van we used as a shuttle excellent shape we had the stickers removed and detailed and sent to Copart.
