You should totally buy that Toyota Sienna! Never seen anything like it before, just make sure you don’t leave it running when you take it back home to charge the battery and it overheats and blows the radiator
@@AmericanMan961 it blew the radiator and he tossed that it would be too much to fix and that nobody would want it which is silly because they would builders would or farmers
Did not sound like a knocking rod to me,, :-) A good way to test is to kill the spark to each cylinder and if the noise goes away on one of the cylinders, then it is a rod bearing,, if not then it is a stuck lifter or bent valve,, :-)
I am Robs wife, I laughed so darn hard to tears when you said, Everyone is going to be terrified of it, (the 530k Toyota) that was great, I actually got off of my own pc to join him in watching this, Thanks for the laugh
My family once had a 1992 Chevy astro van that when it finally died had over 700k on it it was worn clean out by then so we got my mom a new Chrysler town n country in 2012
@@Cupcakeprincess85 sadly no it was lost in the Camp Fire in Paradise CA on November 8th 2018. She currently drives my 2009 Toyota Camry SE. The Town & Country never gave us any issues aside from a rear window switch which was under recall she died with 110k on the clock.
Remember Scotty Kilmer said highway miles counts as 10% of street miles. That means this engine may have the wear of a 60k to 80k mile engine. Damn! Thats a lot of driving.
I love that body style cadi! My dad had an 81 that pretty much was the same body style! Brings back memories! Rare to see one with cloth. A agree with you on the euro front end! Just like when the cutlass did it
I've been waiting to see you check out a Toyota #$%&. I absolutely love them. I'm 60yrs. I've owned 35+ cars, and I'm a professional driver by trade. Had a 90 Corolla, still own a 96 Avalon, an a 95 Lexus Ls400. Please do more Yota, Honda video, Thank you Randy
I had a 1999 Toyota Camry v6 XLE with 508,800 miles sold it for 1400 in Connecticut and the guy who bought it drives it daily ran and drove like brand new
ford windstar bad starter brusher they have 4 brushes and 2 wear completely out while other 2 are half good. so the starter will run good then will completely lock up. the brushes are $15.00 on ebay.
the car at min 6:00,it need semi rings at the low structure of the motor.I think is called rods.and if you don t rev the engine, the crankshaft, will be ok.even so,you can modify the crankshaft, with the bigger bearings.
Looks like the tachometer and speedometer got stuck at the same position as if they were doing the diagnostic sweep that occurs every time you start. Battery probably died then.
I know this video was prerecorded, but that Sienna is barely broken in. My 2007 Corolla has 275k miles now and it still runs like a top and probably has at least another 300k left in it. Anyone who knows their Toyota's would buy it in a heart beat. I know you are an American car guy, but how many GMs or Dodge (Fiat) products have you seen that look and run this good with this kind of mileage?
That is a testament to Toyota! Here is what build quality does for a brand: In 2018... ...for every vehicle GM sold in the US, they spent $1,062.95 in advertising. ...for every vehicle Ford sold in the US, they spent $933.00 in advertising. ...for every vehicle Toyota sold in the US, they spent $593.41 in advertising.
Paul Bianco: Yes, I remember but, if you happen to get hit with a sizable repair, you would not be glad that this is your car. That is another reason that the poor get poorer.
Hey Randy!! Watch out about that 1/2 M miles Toyota. It has a bad steering rack and the radiator fans are disconected ... Wait u already know that ... I think u already send it to copart... Sending it to copart should been the first video 😂😂
Randy, check out the Car throttle channel on the UK. They bought a high mileage Skoda and got the manufactures to do a half a restoration on it for content. Worth a try!
530,000 mile Toyota van....... i have to argue your point......you may not have bought it, but you did show a truck with like..... 500,000 or so miles. It was in a video from a few years ago
That lac if got for under $350 out the door $600 you will be suprise people will buy the top window molding any chrome the seats and the engine, transmission, and wiring harnes and computer for a total profit of $2500-3000. Check out the car videos
It would be good if you shared more content on what you do with your Auto Auction purchases, I don’t see much Rebuilding on your channel “Just saying”.
The Camaro seems more trouble than it's worth unless you have a motor for it just lying around doing nothing. The Sienna is awesome and has 3x as many miles as my "high milage" car but would only be cool if you're gonna keep it for a work horse or get around but yeah probably won't get too much for a 530 thousand mile vehicle haha, bloody impressed though!
I think you should get the Sienna--lol.... I had one of those Electra's. It was an awesome car. The caddy had the 4/6/8 engine. They were Horrible! And I've always said Bro-mmm! Great video. Keep them coming.
lol... @ nearly every car you looked into, started, etc... I was like, "ooh.. what about the one next to/behind it, tho" ? That Toyota Sienna, >500k... wow! Laughed at how someone cleared a tiny bit of the dirt away just to verify mileage. All these imho, not flip or profit cars. You'd have to put SO much into them & still.... how to get any $ back (or even what u paid + fees + repairs) Small, foreign cars or SUV's would prob be popular & easy (easier anyway) flips if the price was right. Mechanically sound, cleaned. Thanks for sharing the walk around tho. I like cars from the era you were looking at, too.... Were around when I started driving as well. :) Stay safe & be well.
I think that anything that makes it to a half a million miles should start t go up in value because so few make it there. That van needs to be fixed so it can continue it's run to 1 million miles. It's in nice enough shape that it could be fixed up with wreaking yard parts and be great video content. It will pay for itself in views alone.
