Stop playing like you don't want the Protege Randy! Everyone knows when you test the driver side window to see if it works, you want it! Thanks for the walk around and good luck.

That black F150 shows just how safe they are. Look how far that tree pushed into the front and yet NO intrusion into the passengers, the dash remained in place, and all the air bags did their job.
Protege looks great, runs great, BUY IT! New set of tires, carpet kit, a good detail, maybe shampoo the seats, put the ozone cleaner in there for a day or two, install new hubcaps, replace the battery, and you have a $2000 car all day long, and you have less than a $1000 in the car. Good investment if the buy price is right. I hope you have already thought of this, but a lot of folks are going to be buying these cheap cars with their stimulus checks, and the future looks bright for another round of checks.
I like your videos and that Cadillac I know a few girls up here in New York would try that it's pretty I enjoy all your content of your keep it up my brother
If the underside of the Mazda isn't too corroded, and you check the trunk, I'd go for it. A new battery, a tank of fresh gas, a very thorough detail and you'd probably be on a winner. If nothing else, good content - everybody loves a serious detail video (I'd invest in a Hazmat suit).
I wanna say it’s a Tahoe just because the Escalade rear lights are bulkier and different than Yukon/Tahoes along with the fact of the steering wheel not having any of the nice buttons like the actual Escalades do, just looks like a typical 99-02 Tahoe/Yukon wheel with a Caddy airbag. So my guess is that it was a LS/LT Tahoe or Yukon with a Escalade front clip and a 6.0 swap
Is that anything new news? Even today the Escalade is still basically a Tahoe and a Navigator is still basically an Expedition. People like having a fancier vehicle (cosmetically) and maybe even more features. but these days, even the highest trim level Ford or Chevy can have all the luxury features of a Lincoln or Cadillac. :)
11094DEREK yup 6.0 my 06 Cadillac has it. Although the features are somewhat similar there are a couple differences I haven’t seen in a Tahoe as the front and rear heated seats, DVD player, navigation system, split captain chairs for rear and dual climates for front and rear. Just in this particular year
Get the Mazda - they're pretty simple and everything seems to work. Pull interior out, power wash carpets, shampoo seats, ozone generator and she's good. I like the old Escalades but that one is done- someone clearly attempted to add suicide doors and used an entire bucket of Bondo in the process. The definition of 'hot mess'.
The Mazdas airbag lights up a code. As I can se it blinks failcode nr3. But it is a combination. If it blinks 2 times then black out and then starts blinking 3 times, the code is 23.
If it goes really cheap just go ahead and get that protege. It started right up and I think the gas was just bad. Clean it up good and flip it quick !!!
The Pink Escalade might be a GMC Yukon Denali that has been customized to look like an Escalade. If you look at the gauges/instrument cluster it looks like the cluster in the early '00s GMC Yukon Denalis. The tailights though look like they came off a Chevy Tahoe. I would best describe the "Cadillac Escalade" in the video as a hodgepodge of parts off of GM SUVs
While the Flood Mazda wouldn't be a good car to flip for a dealership, to me, it's a great content car. I would love to see that get brought back to life.
My mum had a 2002 Protege, did not like the freeway one bit, so underpowered (TBF it had the 1.6 motor), but it was a good runabout car, traded in her first car, a 1995 Ford Falcon Wagon for it, now she drives a 2014 camry
with the pink caddy, the doors are on the wrong side and the panels got removed because it looks like they were trying to create a sliding door, like the minivan doors
the reason why the airbags didn't deploy in the Ford truck is because the airbag sensors are located underneath the front bumper and they did not get compromised. not sure what the deal was with the side curtain airbags.
On some vehicles those airbag lights flash when theres a code in the system, it'll flash the number of the code... Ex. 2 flashes pause 1 flash.. Code 21 (like old school OBD-1).. My truck does that.
Looking at the gas pedal and how far the front end has gone back looks to me like the motor has been pushed that far back that it has pushe the firewall back into the cabin and forced where the gas pedal is down over that'll be why the pedal is stuck to the floor
They had a big stereo system in that Cadillac SUV probably a repo the stereo was walled-off probably were there was nothing but a big box in the back surprised it doesn't have more than one alternator they probably unhook the drive shaft so they couldn't take it that vortec is a good motor
Monty The Troll Hunter those wide tires are more likely to hydroplane. The steer tires on my new dump truck are wide and it slides around a lot more than my old one with skinny tires.
