Volare, yes. I had the twin. A 1978 Dodge Aspen Wagon, was my first car. Miss it. The Volare looks good.

Hoovies Alpina B7 was the generation before this one. These aren't as bad as people think, just maintain the damn things which nobody does. Randy get the E38 if you can, it's a facelift 750IL which you see less and less nowadays. They are going up in value also. The yellow light in the middle means TPMS/Traction Control.

Randy, that Volare looked like it might have had the 8-track. My college roommate had one with that same radio. We used to grab stacks of 8-tracks from local thrift stores and maybe 1 out of 10 worked. That's fine when they cost a dime each.

Randy, on that c300, it has independent rear suspension, I believe that when the tractors move the cars around it puts the rear wheels in an off camber position and without driving it has no chance to normalize. Almost every car that you says has rear suspension damage is IRS. Just sayin, without obvious damage (strike point, paint marks, etc)

you can buy it!!! but sell your house to fix it... then maybe worth $5000 more then what you payed for it.. look at Hoovies garage on this car... would of coast him $30,000 just to fix the one after him buying it for whatever he did i don't remember.. and it worth $25,000 to sell it... drive 1000 miles put another $10,000 in it.. just a huge ass money pit..

Ah Randy, the color of the MB reminds me of what we used to call High School Autobody Blue. The body shop at the high school used the CHEAPEST paint they could find for the students to use and it was that color. MAYBE it was worked on at a local high school😳😖

Biggest winners IMO are the Mustang and the Super Coupe. Mustang looks promising and has LOTS of potential. The Plymouth Volare looks ready for you to hit Route 66! Dunno if ya missed it, but it's also got a factory 8 track with the radio! Pop a cartidge in and you're set!!!

Nice walkaround, great cars! The Alpina is very rare indeed, but I love that E38 750iL! What a thing of beauty! Such a shame there's something wrong with the transmission and something with the engine.... :(

That Alpina is awesome! Twin-turbo V8, the engine is hand-built at Alpina's separate factory and then put in the BMW shell. The sound system is like a $5k option and it's one of the best car audio systems on the market. Great find!

Hey Randy. Sorry you caught Portland on a rainy day. It is sunny and 80 degrees today. The Volare was pretty cool for a 1978 muscle car. They came with the 360 and there was only just short of 500 built.

Had a Volare when I was younger, not a super coup but a built 318 pipes that come out in front of back wheels, 70 series tires on front and 50 series tires on back posi rear out of a police car, manual shift auto trans very fun car, wish I still had it.

Those I believe are ladder bars on the Volare rear springs. Their purpose was to reduce wheel hop from " spirited " launches. " Volare, all a new car can be..."

I had a '79 Volare when I was in Highschool and first couple years of college in the mid 90's. It was a piece. On the highway and well most streets I would have to turn the heat on to keep the car from over heating. Ha! Poor girl threw a rod and I had to junk her. Memories....

Volare is almost time capsule. Those Thrush sidepipes, knew a guy who had them on a '68 Satellite convertible. It has the optional "Tuff Wheel" steering wheel and factory 8-track. It's throwback cool.

Buuullshiiit. That's what happens when you yanks buy shitboxes that haven't been maintained at all and then you complain Bimmers are junk. Mate's got an E38 like the one in the video, a 6 cylinder one. Has 480,000 miles on it now and it runs like a dream, everything works, doesn't use a drop of oil. And he's had a few more super high mileage BMWs, mostly E39s. All still in perfect working order.

Randy they just parted a Volare out at J & J Auto wrecking it was orange with very little damage in the front😪 those bars on the suspension or called ladder bars but keep you from wheel hopping when you're smoking the tires and Mopar was doing why bodies back in the 70's

Randy to be honest with you the alpina is pretty easy to work on. I bought a mechanical 2012 from copart and rebuild the whole motor. Had a few complications after but the car drives like a dream now

2014 alpina b7 is very reliable, you have to do the maintenance. Now the earlier years had problems, but they learned from that and the later years run superb. Look at the current c8 motors seize, instrument buttons breaking

Randy, on da Volare they are not shackles on the rear leaf springs, those help prevent wheel hop on heavy throttle take offs

Those are traction bars on the springs, they help keep the spring from bending under hard take off and causing "wheel hop".

People ride thru water and the engine takes in water. It's one of the main reasons BMWs are totaled

@@tbozzz8785 I didn't say anything about programming. If the air intake is so low it sucks up water going through a puddle or even higher water, it is a design defect. People that drive their cars drive them in the rain and water accumulates on the ground.

Just my two cents but the Alpina may have started cause my salvage Jag made that same sound and I knew it ran but after I would take a long bar and start smacking the starter, it would fire up. The engine was still crap but it started!

Funny thing? I have a V8 Valiant sedan with an A38 suspension...it'll walk that Volare (those are slapper bars...Mopars have semi-elliptical leaf springs; those are not needed)

Oh I remember the super coupe, very rare, 16 doesn’t sound unreasonable. The question I have is why would anyone let something like that go, that’s nuts!
