This is my longest post so far, it’s pretty much all of the Copex shearing heavy steel. I set my camera up and then get on with working the shear for a while, I then move the camera to a different, reasonably safe, spot and carry on. Later I edit the boring bits out and join up to a dozen clips together. It could be a bit long, we’ll see.

Mark! Best video so far! I am wondering, can the length be changed when the Copex is cutting, or is it a standard length, or can you cut shorter or longer? What happens to that giant pile of break disc, do they go off to a foundry some time? The length of the video is good too. I like them on the longer side. The various shots and angles were awesome.

Hi Paula, the length can be adjusted on the go, the brake discs are delivered to foundries with small loads being delivered as a foundry orders most days.

Nice to see, how much dirt and old paint comes with that scrap. I only can talk for german steelmills, are your buyers even that picky about heavy scrap? Good video as always, keep on.

They aren't picky about paint, unless the material is supposed to be new steel but I would get a weight deduction if loose dirt and paint was in the load.

The yellow thing is for lifting the blades when we change them and it's always been there.👍

why dont you have a magnet with the claw kill two birds with one unit

because I have a far superior magnet attached to a machine specifically for the job, we do a lot of magnet work so to be constantly connecting a small magnet to the underside of the grab on the 830 would be time consuming and pointless. Also, the 830 would have cost a lot more money to buy with a generator plus the cost on a magnet head to hang on the grab, these magnets have to be small because of the combined weight of the grab and magnet. A 55" magnet on the 825 is the perfect setup for us, capable of lifting a 15 tonne slab, although the 825 can't handle 15 tonnes of course.
