I personally use OneDrive in both my personal life and also Business. Ironically, this is one of my biggest gripes. Copilot works great for Excel, Word, and PowerPoint files located in OneDrive Personal, and yet refuses to even look at files for Business. Frustrating to say the least since I’m paying for Copilot Monthy and expected I would be able to use it in any capacity as long as my computer had access to the files I’m working with.

@@VegasGuy1975I know 3/5ths if f-all on this, but I suspect you're hitting the "no symantic index/graph" limitation of Copilot Pro on MS Personal/family accounts? Which is my obsession too. 😊
When you have Copilot Pro and you link that personal account to a business account the Pro benefits roll up to your web based copilot experience. The same is not true for copilot in the office apps though, your copilot access in your personal licensed apps does not roll up to the ones used for business. You would need a Copilot for M365 license on your business account. For Word or PowerPoint (not Excel) you could also store the file outside of OneDrive and use with your personal login in the apps.
@@brightideasagency agreed. So what it boils down to is this; with my current setup, I can use Copilot on the web for either personal or business, and it’s fine. But to get the benefit of the copilot functions on the desktop apps requires me to either dedicate the apps to personal, or to business. And there in lies the frustration. I really don’t like using copilot on the web as it creates extra steps in my workflow. I really like the direct copilot functionality in the apps directly. However, being forced to choose personal or business frankly sucks. From. My perspective, if I’m paying for the service, why should the apps care what environment they are being used in? And that’s where I really think Microsoft needs to improve copilot. Also, I wish Microsoft would produce a LOT more copilot training. There really isn’t much in the way of training at all. Thank you for the heads up on this. FWIW, and acknowledging I'm not your target group Id presume, I would appreciate if a distinction was made between copilot pro on MS Family versus MS business. As soon as I hear graph I assume it's not relevant. {even tho I work in large govt depth but copilot not possible ATM} It's not for you to do the work of MS in untangling this confusingly rushed product avalanche, but if you were to throw in a "this bits not for you, (pleb!)" Thanks for these ideas. There are certainly some aspects of Copilot Pro I'm planning to feature in a video, the top of the list will be custom GPTs when they arrive. Microsoft did not make this easy to untie with everything being a Copilot though, but I will try to be mindful of clarity in the distinction between the two experiences.
Nick I think your videos are good but lack some practical applied skills. 90% of your content is verbal including your sessions on the new copilot course We all need hands on demonstration of how to build routines in copilot studio to access extensions to query databases files and websites utilise plugins to get the best performance Have you plans in this area - we have lots of excel MVPs we need a Copilot MVP

However, there are some areas such as extensibility of Copilot that I think deserve more detail as these aren't covered so fully in how-to content elsewhere. Watch this space.
