A curious Copper-tailed skink was guarding the path along our walk in Bouddi National Park, Australia. These reptiles are common in the area and can often be seen darting around hiking tracks chasing insects or basking in the sun. Their stripes and unique copper-coloured tail gives evidence as to the source of their name.
