Cops HATE the Harley SPORTSTER S 

Dude major respect to you block for how you handled this situation. I’ve been a cop for the last 4 years and this dude is the reason people don’t like us. The way he automatically has an attitude before even making contact with you is ridiculous. I’ve literally gotten in chases or fought people on this job and been cool afterwards and they will be cool back to me. He is probably just mad he got passed up on for promotion because he can’t pass a dang pt test 😂

For all you comment police 🚔 1. I said “I know he’s just doing his job” and there was a 35mph sign that I didn’t see. Didn’t even see it in the video edit after till someone pointed it out. That’s my bad. I own that, ticket is being paid and I’m handling it. 2. You know how you can kind of “feel” the speed of a road? This road feels really slow at 35mph. Probably why so many people speed on it. 35mph is ridiculous for as lengthy and open as this road is. 3. When I said I wasn’t going “that” fast, I didn’t mean I wasn’t going as fast as the officer said. I was, it’s in the vid. I meant I wasn’t going THAT fast, like 70+mph. And even though I was speeding, it wasn’t reckless. I honestly didn’t know what the speed was. That’s what I get for being distracted I guess. I was honestly trying to figure something out on the gauge seconds before the vid started, and my mind was partially still there. 4. The officer was just doing his job. I’ve got nothing against him for that. He owes me nothing. It does suck that despite me continually being respectful and complying, saying sir, and apologizing, the interaction still felt condescending towards me. He literally wouldn’t stop interrupting me. It is what it is. I’m just another motorist, not trying to make his life harder by arguing. 5. I’ve got an immense amount of respect for LEO, they put their lives on the line, and when we need them, they’re usually there for us. I’ve got friends and family that are LEO. This video isn’t meant to bring any negative perspective towards LEO, not what I want at all. This was just my experience of getting a ticket while on the Sportster S for my 2nd time ever. That’s it. I was speeding. I got a ticket. Cause. Effect. Slow it down out there, and have a great day! 👮🏻‍♂️

Props to Block on how he handled this situation. So much class. I understand the officer has a job to do, but the officer needs to be respectful as well. Cutting off Block in conversation shows the power trip that officer is on. Block is such a kind soul that he wouldn’t escalate this, but I would show up at the department and explain the way the officer conducted himself in conversation was with a lack of civil responsibility. Kudos again to Block on keeping himself composed in this situation. 👌🏼🤘🏼

Its always when you’re in chill mode and just cruising, it’s never when you are riding a “little”more aggressive. The dreaded 30mph zones 😐 Too fast for cruising in 2nd gear and to slow for 3rd🤣 At least that’s my experience on the Electra.

It's kinda scary that in the US you seem to have to kinda be on your tippy toes when talking to cops to not make them mad or whatever. Like you really have to form your sentences in the least aggressive kind of way unless you want trouble.

Y'all ever feel like sometimes they set random speed limits on roads just for the purpose of getting ticket money? I just moved to a new area. The road I travel to get to my street is a narrow, sometimes windy, slightly rough, 2 lane road, full of driveways and neighborhood streets, with a 40mph speed limit. I've yet to see a cop on that road, but again I'm new to the area. Meanwhile, the road parallel to that, is a 4 lane, mostly straight and smooth, boulevard type road. Mostly through forest and passes over a river, no driveways or anything, basically just connects two towns on either end. Speed limit is 35mph. In the handful of times I have used that road, I have seen a hidden speed trap every time. Given, I'm sure that road is more likely to have "speeders", so it kinda makes sense.... But, 40mph BFE road, vs 35mph nice pass through road. Seems a little fishy to me.

That blows! I've only been pulled over once on the Goldwing for speeding but luckily I got away with a warning, I was doing 39 in a 35 zone. I think the cop was honestly just bored. 🤔

I absolutely love the cruise control I had fitted to my low rider s. I use it constantly except when doing twisties…. So that’s when I have to careful as you can be accelerating out of a corner and concentrating so hard that you’re not aware you’re over the limit

I’m a retired police officer and a longtime Harley rider but getting back to the job I always found it hilariously funny when after I bent someone over for speeding that they said thank you. However I rarely gave a biker a ticket unless they were being totally stupid.

Took the new ride down my favorite curvy road (57 in a 35, carving the curves)... and BAMM! BLUE LIGHTS! But five minutes later, no ticket, the Deputy was asking about the upgrades and admiring the bike! Hahahaha. The Legend REVO-ARC canisters got his attention and started a conversation that ended with "a'ight my friend, slow it down a bit."

Wild. On Monday I passed Tennessee Highway Patrol 20 minutes South of Knoxville going up I75 doing 110 on my sportster 48 and they didn't even take off to try and come after me.. luckily 😂. In my defense, I was trying to get away from a tailgater and a cluster of vehicles and maybe he figured as much.

I was on the expressway a vrod past me doing about 80,85 I have a vrod, I get off on the off ramp to put gas at a gas station as I'm walking towards the store , a trooper pulls up behind me. I got busted for someone elses bullshit . The trooper had his mind made up so I didn't even argue. He looked like he got pissed cause I didn't argue!! Damned if you do or dont!!

If they don't have speed limit signs out there and your video proves it, I bet you'll get out of the ticket. Being in FL also, you go with the last posted speed limit sign. If it was 45 and there were no 35 signs, then you are in the right.

The surprising thing is that it’s a straight wide road . I did not notice if it was a congested road. Nor did it seem like a high resident area. So to be a little over 10 miles, the officer stating people are complaining about speeders, and his attitude right off the start, it was obvious he made up his mind to give you a ticket no matter what. It shows why people dislike them. No matter what, you were breaking the law. However for him to brag about stopping 3 others in just a 30 minute span shows his predatory mentality. I had an officer once giving a ticket to a car parked in front of my house that is a gated community at 2 pm when no one is around -because in our county you are not allowed to park on the road. I told him I had not called the police to complain about the car and he responded no one did. He was just patrolling and making sure no one is supposed to be parking on the road. He then bragged how he had given more than 30 tickets on the community next to mine and to go check if I saw anyone parked on the road there. The final,slap,was he provided me with his identification card! Should I feel protected by the knowledge that the officers are going around giving tickets rather than patrolling my neighborhoods.? I was not impressed.

LMAO. I have had the cops follow me into my street twice in the last two months looking for an excuse to pull me over on my Sportster S. I think my local cops are just curious. Boys will be boys and the Sportster S is something you want a closer look at. I pre-ordered mine at the announcement so I have one of three in the state and it will take 9 months before the next ones get here. I love the confused driving of the cops behind me though, looking for an excuse to pull me over.

Points on your driving record! As a retired police officer I’ll tell you he has a quota to meet for the day. Being a solo bike that’s all they do is give tickets.

Never admit fault, don't apologize. Always quick, concise answers. Don't elaborate. "I was going with the speed of traffic." "Nope, I don't know how fast I was going, I was watching the road." Don't give them the ability to fight it in court. He's already made a bunch of dumb assertions. Just based on the fact that he has mis-identified you in another instance is enough to get it thrown out of court. He probably wouldn't show up anyway unless they were giving out free Krispy Kreme. A traffic lawyer is cheaper than a ticket 7/10 times.

Rule #1 for officers when writing people, you either write them quickly and let them leave, or you lecture them. You never do both. Another rule for cops is to be IN SHAPE and not the kind of shape requiring you to get a size that requires more than one X.

I don't know how often you go on that road, but I'd film the road where you entered and take note of all the speed limit signs (if any) and if you weren't provided a sign after you entered that roadway, use that as a defense, highlighting the jurisdiction's negligence in providing sufficient signage for a zone with historically high speeding complaints (given the officer's account).

First and only ticket was on my sportster. Was on my way to work. 2 lane road, and a pickup truck pulled out in front of me, i only has a second to react. So I went right and went around him on the shoulder. I was angry, and wasn't watching my speed after that (also no speedo).... got pulled over doing 75 in a 50. Cop then accused me of riding a stolen bike, then he accused me of having stolen plates (both false, he misread my plates). I had all my paperwork bitch. Was on the side of the road for 45 minutes while his dumb ass tried to find a reason to arrest me. Walked away with a $350 speeding ticket. Got to work an hour late.

Just get a large group of friends with the loudest bikes ya'll have and drive through that neighborhood going 34 mph

Phoenix, Arizona has the most red light runners of any state. Even if you decreased their number by 50%, Arizona would still be number 1. At light, the red light cameras are flashing away like a party. The Autobahn Highway 101, people are on your tail at 90 mph in the fast lane with too much Road Rage prevalence. People do need to slow down. My son in law is a police officer. He try’s not to pull people over. Not worth becoming angry. Just pay the fine.

Ticket clinic bro. Literally got a ticket in Daytona for “obstructing the sidewalk” during bike week….. I parked far up enough for my kick stand, which wasn’t as far as all the trucks parked on the sidewalk. People don’t look at it this way…. But if he’s pulled 4 people over in 30 minutes maybe the city needs to reevaluate the speed limit 🤷🏻‍♂️

Speeding tickets given for less than 15 MPH over the posted limit aren't about safety, they are just a secret tax on everyone because they never make the speed limits what they should ACTUALLY be for the road. It's a scam. For example here in Utah, the freeway speed limit on I-15 before the Olympics in 2002 was 55 MPH, everyone still went 80 and only got pulled over if they exceeded 80, no one got a ticket for 80. Then after the Olympics it was raised to 65, yet everyone still goes 80, and a few years ago they raised it again to 70. Guess how fast most people still drives on I-15? 80, that's right. Because 80 should be the REAL speed limit, since at 55 MPH, 65 MPH, and now 70 MPH they would only ever pull you over and ticket you if you were going OVER 80. I recommend the 10% rule, never exceed 10% over the speed limit and you'll most likely never get pulled over.
