Cops on camera abusing an elderly man but yet they want to call themselves heros. They earned the hate. I'm disgusted.

I've watched thousands of auditing videos and I had to stop because it makes my blood boil. What he did to that old man. This is what happens when you let bullies have a badge.

The behavior of the hospital staff made me feel physically ill. They need to be fired. Anyone who can treat another person like that has no business in Healthcare.

Wow, none of those ER staff behaved properly… Several argued that he was lying about his paralysis, and none of them even advocated for following protocol for a spinal/neck injury.

The hospital needs to be sued as well. And several staff fired for how this man was treated.

You know, we must not forget about the blatant disregard the medical staff had. I wish they would’ve taken the older man’s complaint seriously. It scares me for how they may treat other individuals.

Cop admitted that his takedown was controlled. Which means that he broke his neck on purpose.

This is one of the most upsetting videos I have ever seen. I can't believe they paralyzed that man. The coldness of the policemen and hospital staffers is beyond disgusting.

The worst part of the story with the elderly man is that these sadistic power abusing pigs still run free and still have a badge and a gun , this is lower than murder .

Why on earth did the hospital personnel completely ignore the patient. He should have been put in spinal precautions IMMEDIATELY. And the cops should not have been assisting in any way. This is horrific. Both cops should be criminally charged.

The second video was disturbing and hard on many levels to watch. That poor man begged for help, and those sub-animalistic creatures laughed at him. Not only are those cops criminally incompetent, but that so-called "nurse" needs to be terminated and have her nursing credentials permanently revoked.

Maybe if the taxpayers were informed that 20 million dollars df their tax money was spent on police brutality and incompetence, they will do something about this cop before he does it again. He is a danger to the public.

Even more concerning is the medical staff who are clearly not believing he's been paralyzed and tell him to stop saying he can't feel his legs. The lack of empathy in them is unbelivable and needs to be addressed.

What happened to the officer who took his aggressions out on an elderly man who was innocent of the charges he was accusing him. Even if he was guilty, he didn't deserve this level of violence to permanently paralyze him. This level of violence is not acceptable.

Mr Gross was cruelly tortured by the cops and made worse by the negligent cruelty of all of the hospital staff. Those staff members should all be held accountable. Mr Gross got some money but I want to know if any of those sadists received any punishment. Name and shame at a minimum.

This is way Qualified Immunity needs to be removed from Police. They need to be held accountable for their actions.

The insensitivity and unprofessional behavior of the staff was atrocious as well. Nurses are obviously incompetent in the way they moved a possible paralysis victim from the stretcher to the scanner table, they allowed the untrained officer to determine an unsafe way to move an injured patient.

Basic first aid stipulates that ANY injury where the spinal column may be involved requires the neck and spine to be stabilized/immobilized before ANY movement of the body (with the exception of exigent circumstances like moving the victim out of an immediately life-threatening situation where any delay could do worse harm). Any law officer should also have basic first aid training as well as training for stabilizing gunshot wounds and drug overdose victims. That aside, the hospital should have been sued separately. Those "treating" him were 100 percent without excuse and should never be allowed to work in or near any area involving medical practice including being a custodian working in a medical facility. The staff on site and those responsible for staffing and training should also be doing hard time for medical malpractice.

What the hell were the doctors and nurses thinking? You've got a patient who's complaining of numbness and an inability to move his limbs with a mechanism of injury that could result in paralysis and you don't immediately immobilise them on a spinal board with a C-collar? In 20yrs of working as a healthcare professional I've never heard of anything like it. And the way that nurse spoke to Mr. Gross "don't tell me you can't feel your legs..." - the dude is scared, as anyone would be. Whether he is innocent or guilty, high, drunk or sober, we treat everybody the same. Mr. Gross wasn't rude or aggressive once so why she had an attitude is beyond me. Maybe if she showed a little compassion he might feel reassured and then stop telling you since he'd know he's being looked after rather than ignored! Also, when he went for the CT...the way they moved him. We slide patients all the time but not like that when there's even the slightest suspicion of a spinal injury. Finally, where's the footage from the second take down? We saw one officer's body cam footage which showed bugger all, but what about the body cam footage of the cop who took Mr. Gross to the ground? And how comes there's no mention of any repercussions for the officer that left this man needing 24hr care for the rest of his life? He said he couldn't feel his arms...he quite probably won't ever feed himself again, or hold a glass of water to his lips to drink, he won't wipe his own backside or pee normally, he'll never go for a walk or throw a ball around with his kids...he fought in the military and came home uninjured, only to be left wheelchair bound for the rest of his life. Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. And for what, a fender bender? I'm not sure $20mil is enough!

The paralysis of Mr.Gross: This is why so many Americans have so little trust, faith, or compassion for law enforcement these days. Everyone that supervised this officer and is a part of his Chain of Command should be kicked out of law enforcement and punished with everyone being notified of there involvement.
