Im thinking to buy this or newer version 360db, I like heavy metal music/Rock/drum & base/ Instrumental music with many different base type instruments and I wonder if this speaker can handle good MIDS not only pure Pure base - the lower range.

@@diuran1919 I've played rock, pop and classical. It handles them all very well. Even though it has a strong bass, it doesn't over power the mids and highs.

I own this set and they have worked flawlessly and the sound is a clear upgrade over much of the lower priced gear I have used. those tweeters are amazing and don't break up when i crank it at times. I can recommend these, I run them through a Schiit Modi dac off my computer (another reason they sound great is having a decent dac to hook them up with)

My exact plan. If I connect to Bluetooth to use my phone for music, how’s the transition back to using it for tv audio? Do I have to select it on the tv remote everytime?

@@jp1419 You don't need to use the TV remote, just use the Edifier remote and switch from the bluetooth button to the Opt button. Then the TV audio plays using the optical cable. To switch back to bluetooth just press that button again on the Edifier remote.

I wish it had a volume dial in the remote. Sometimes some audio sources are on a way lower volume than others so you crank up the volume to compensate. But then a source with higher volume starts playing almost exploding the speakers. It’s nice to have a rotary dial instead of tapping buttons so you can turn the volume down in one fast move.

These are great, and they have more RCA inputs than most powered speakers. My only gripe is the awful remote.

Hi. Those speakers are with me over 2 years. LOVE IT.!!! Brilliant sound . All speakers works with perfect harmony. Just pilot is shity. My neighbours 🤔(old building with thick walls) even 3 floors down a cross complaining when I play max.

@@bicvarcarapic6619 Hi I haven't any issues with bluetooth which is in constant use. Sound compers cables is obviously different. That is normal sow I can't see this as a problem.

Got rid of my Echo Studios and got this system as it was so much better. I'm using mine as a sound bar connected to my TV with an optical cable. I've also got a turntable connected with RCA. Great system!

Just a stupid question. Powered speakers are SO popular/convenient/good now, that I don’t understand why manufacturers don’t concentrate on making it easier to integrate them into a surround sound system?Maybe someone can tell me why this is an crazy idea? Why not just have an AV style receiver, with all the normal multi media inputs, but no internal amplification, and then have multiple S/PDIF fibre optic outputs on the back? Its practically lossless over longer distances, and it means you have the convenience of using the speakers in a non theatre setting, if you move house/decide to use them as stand alone pairs in the future.

Edifier has recently released the M601DB. I haven't listened to them but from what I've read, these are pretty good.

Thanks for the review.. I ordered my set today, I have to wait for delivery. The only two bad things I noticed with the set are, the right speaker cable and the powerbutton. With the powerbutton I can't put the sub on the floor under my desk. That's a bit annoying.

If you hold down the INPUT knob on the right speaker it powers them off.

@@ivanstamatov4445 Yeah true.. I didn't know that at the time. It's still strange that the main power switch is at the subwoofer on the floor. So my system is always on, at least the sub and amp are.

Ordered ...... eeehaa !! :) .... can't wait to test them out..... Researched reviewed a LOTTTT of speakers.... and turns out that these pair of speakers are gonna make my dream come true.... Tried Polk Command Bar and Bose Companion 50.... and was "disappointed".... comparing the sound quality and price......... Hope Edifier 350db full fill my wishes !!

I used it as a soundbar for quite a while. You won't get a soundbar as good at that price point.

Thanks you! If I had a bigger channel and more disposable income, I definitely would! Unfortunately, I don't have the budget to get 2 apple home pods. In saying that, I still think the Edifier would sound better. Seems like a decent higher quality system, just not easy to fix whenever cables of the satelites breakdown thats a big minus i hope its a strong cable with thick wires

Cable's are pretty thick and the connections strong. You could also argue that a smart speaker fault is not an easy fix?

@@UTILITARIANTVUK Nice to hear. Nothing is an easy fix with speakers that have so many cables bundled together hardwired into the back. Just takes more effort, and i like to be able move my speakers around locations and around my room bring it to my neighbours etc. So thats why i highly dislike such cables take alot of effort to replace. But theres nothing wrong with that if you dont move them around like i do they fit the purpose and give a cleaner look to the system although satelite placement with that cable lenght might be limited and i like to set up my satelites plus sub far away from eachother during a party (not that i need to worry about that now with covid.

I'm thinking of getting this system. but the s351db because its 30 quid cheaper on amazon lol quick question pal. any idea if the 351s are the same as the 350? I've heard they're identical apart from different remote and different colour. but the internals are the same. or do you think I should go for something else? i want it manly for my tv and watching films as a soundbar replacement. id appreciate you getting back to me. I'm subbed already, you helped me on a purchase before cant remember what it was though lol thanks bud 👍

They have exactly the same specs so it won't matter which one you get. It worked great for my TV, had no issue understanding the voices and it's good at playing music too! The S351 and S350 will beat any traditional soundbars at this price point.

I don't understand whether placing the subwoofer on the table does justice? You must place it on the floor since there is a reason why the satellite speakers are small so you can place it on the pc desk

I'd agree with you if it was a wooden table but the one in the video is solid marble. I doubt it would cause any vibration or distortion.

Are the sub and satellites easily damaged since they got no protective grills? That is important to me cause i will have them at a close distance so i would like to know if a small clumpy move of the hand could destroy them. Thank you in advance and really nice review!

It comes from the metal cone in the middle of the sub and its a clicking rattling metal noise like ''ts ts ts ts''....very annoying so i was wondering if its a defective unit.

I guess from overall sound quality including bass, s350db is slight better than S1000mkii .... price is same for both as of now Easy access to control knobs on 350db S1000mkii has aptx HD while s350db has just aptx . however should I be concerned that s350db don’t have grills to protect the speakers ? Can it be a deciding factor if I should prefer s1000mkii over s350db

Your PC has a DAC built in so you don't really need one. You could buy an external DAC and you might get a little bit better sound but personally, I wouldn't bother.

There's no jack plug. If you want to connect a 3.5mm jack you can use a 3.5mm to RCA cable. However, it can only be used as an input and not an output.

I've not heard the HK but it looks like it's similar to an echo studio/apple homepod type speaker. I'd say the 351db or 350db.

It only has inputs. There are no outputs on it to enable you to connect to another sub.

@@simoncook1325 the only way I can see is to use an RCA y splitter. You'd have to run a set of RCA's from the audio source to the speakers and the other RCA's to the subwoofer. So they weren't really lying but they were being misleading.

Does anyone use these speakers for their living room? I've just tried the Edifier 1280T's and they sound great, but they don't fill the room like a bigger speaker would and of course they don't come with a subwoofer like this model does.

I’m waiting to receive mine. Intend to place them in the living room underneath the TV. Was concerned about the sound filling the room too. Will post my thoughts in a couple of days !

@@patrickbrawner2438 I had the Edifier 1780BT and loved them but that was a small apartment living room. Need something more powerful since I moved now. I am 99% certain that even an expensive Sonos beam soundbar will not beat the sound quality of a proper 2.1 system !

@@patrickbrawner2438 ahh. That would be a different experience but like you said a much bigger investment. You are probably comparing $350 for the Edifier S350DB vs a good $700-800 for a decent 5.1. For me that wasn’t a choice because I was told by my boss to avoid all the wiring mess etc. 😄

Logitech Z-2200 / 2300 = 230 V x 1000 mA = 230 Watts of power consumption = stronger amplifier with toroidal transformer with a 2A protection fuse Edifier S350DB = 230 V x 500 mA = 115 Watts of power consumption = guess how much weaker in reality this set is compared to the above mentioned You can never have more power output from the amp and speakers (+ power losses) than there is power consumption. If you wanna see how strong a speaker set is, always check the power consumption. There is a reason that we call the Logitech Z-2300 The Last Of The Titans !!!!

My ProMedia speakers died in about 10 months and I've been waiting to hear back from customer support for a week. They sounded nice when they worked though but they also had a front facing light that never turned off.
