yea totally agree. i do have one flower pot for a start hope, it can survive before even doing well. i had this reef-roids food for it hopefully its a good choice.
...starting over with my frag tank and a new subscriber...I like your educational talks...and will be referring to your videos..there are no corals in the frag tank...sumped with fuge...50 gallons on top and 80 gallon sump...tank is 3 years old with live rock...I saw your beginners video...what else can I watch you recommend...yes new to corals..previously the frag tank run by a reefer...who went into re-hab and did not return...I am now going this Reef alone...and a newbie...
Great information thanks, I was wondering how long the sweeper is in comparison to the coral its self, how far beyond the coral can it extend as a general rule.
Hey I need some help, I have a 29g biocube and a big frogspawn, the coral was in a ten gallon and opened amazingly, but when I moved it it wouldn't open even halfway
Check your water parameters as the frogspawn could still be acclimating. When adding coral to a new tank its good to start them near the bottom of the tank and slowly move them where you would like them to be so that they can get adjusted. How long has the 29g cube been up and running?
TheCoralReefTalk it’s now been running for 4 weeks almost. I moved him a few times but still nothing. I have a video of my tank on my channel if u want to see it
See how the frogspawn reacts to the light, if the polyps are extended and its not getting blasted by flow and your water quality is in check, it should be fine. If it doesn't look happy try lowering it.
TheCoralReefTalk okay thank you! it's been at the top for a few days and when the lights are on it seems to branch out nicely like it should but when they are off they will sometimes retract
Mine is different. I put it at top of the rock for much exposure to the light. it never opened. so I put it in a shade. it starts opening again and growing. I have no idea what is the correct answer.
That's awesome setting up a new saltwater tank, thanks for watching! Corals like the frogspawn benefit from good lighting as they contain Zooxanthellae which are photosynthetic, they also use the calcium and alkalinity in the water to grow. You do not need to feed them to be successful.
