xD one time I got a razor go cart stuck in a ditch, tried attaching a rope to a power wheels pickup, tried hauling it up but the rope snapped and the power wheels pickup slid down and got stuck in the mud, we finally had to use an ATV to haul them both up
My brother-in-law was in this situation about 20 years ago at my in-law`s farm. One vehicle after another lined up, bigger and badder each time including a school bus, a Dodge pickup, Ford Bronco and finally got èm out with a giant farm tractor from a neighbour. It was all to get an old Owens Cruiser boat from behind a barn at the bottom of a hill. Was fun to finally see the boat going uphill through the woods.LOL!
My hubby got the quad stuck then he got the tractor stuck trying to get the quad unstuck. Later on that day my daughter played this song and we all laughed and laughed. It was so appropriate. Thanks for such a great song, just love it. I must have listened to it at least 20 times.
Hahahaha I just witnessed this at the end (or beginning?)of my road…. So I turned on the stereo put the speakers on the porch and let this song Rip!!!! Huge laughter from the stuck truck guys!!!
My dad unstuck 2 guys that stole a truck..true story 😆 he works in the bush and used his skidder. He is a legend. RCMP understood he's a good man. He drove 4 hrs round trip to give a statement too.
@@doreenkehler9127 I’m honestly curious on why that is, obviously not northerness alone, here in AK people are not friendly like Canadians are I’ve seen plenty of fistfights just over combat fishing, every argument eventually gets to “well I been here for x years” like that means anything
Lol now it’s The vaccinated vs. the un-vaxxed oh and the unvaccinated are hated for simply trying to enforce their rights to not take an untested vaccine. and Canada has a very dark history with forcing people against their will. Like the forced Native American schools were the kids who were ripped from their parents and forced to live in church sponsored boarding schools where they were systematically beaten and other such abuse, then there was the forced sterilization of Native American females so they couldn’t reproduce. And the Anti-semitism hate is also rising here as well, please tell me in which period of history did one man have an intense hatred of Jews and what that led to. This is no longer Canada. I’m for freedom of choice always.
Corb Lund dedicated this song to all of the Albertans who were hit by massive flood damage in 2006, including his own family's ranch. He said it was a way to get a smile out of the situation. I lost my basement in that flooding and it sure helped me.
Ha! This song continues to get play in the house and in the truck. Mighty fine song, great story and Corb is a true storyteller, comes from a longstanding ranch / rodeo family. So I count his lyrics have more weight than most sad assed armchair songwriters anywhere. Cheers Corb.
My husband got me hooked on this song while he was looking for some other music. Figured that this would most likely be heard at a wedding in either Wisconsin or Michigan. Thanks for the upload. This led me to my next favorite- I wanna be in the Cavalry.
Just got linked to this yesterday, and this song is as delightful in 2024 as it's been for everybody else here over the years! I'm definitely on my way to look up more music by Corb Lund and his band.
A title like “Truck got Stuck” is the ultimate way to sum up the entire country music genre. I also love the twist at the end about the GMO seeds, something about it would be perfect as a horror movie or show about some monster coming to life.
I just lived this yesterday. My husband asked Ice Fields Helicopter Tours for help because some people from Red Deer were stuck in mud near Cline River and the guy laughed at him. Mighty neighbourly! Some guys from Edmonton showed up and we all got them out. The pictures and videos of all of us covered in mud all hilarious!
Classic Truck Rescue loves Chev's , Ford's, Dodges, Gmc, Studebaker....and all the rest. But we REALLY like this song....Thank you....Subscribed....and a thumbs-up.
For those who play the game "Spin Tires" this song is pretty spot on. Except there are no Dodges, Fords or Chevy's in that game, just post Soviet hardware, 6x6 and 8x8's that get stuck in the mud... Same story though :D
The ural got stuck, and the kamaz got stuck, but the ural unstuck when the kraz showed up. But the kraz got stuck in the tractor rut, which eventually pulled out the kamaz... With some difficulty
Reminds me of a time me and my buddies got 4 vehicles stuck in a big ol' mudhole down Jennifer Heil road, just north of Spruce Grove, Alberta. Buddy went in first with a Ford escape or some shit, hit the mud doin 80 and made it pretty far, got totally stuck. Then other buddy got his F150 going, he figured he could get through slow nd steady. Made it about 10 feet in before all 4 tires were spinning. Then I figure we're really in for it now, so I get my rwd truck run up, I was aiming to make it to a patch of dry ground just past the escape. I hit the mud going about 60, engine roaring (sumbitch is straight piped), flinging mud into low earth orbit, manage to dig 2 trenches but I fell less than 6 feet short of the dry ground. So we all pile into buddy #4s truck, so we can go get some of first buddy's beaters and see what we can do with that. Well, we had 2 cars and 2 trucks now, we're tryna pull from the ditch so we don't wind up blocking the road (it is a fairly busy road) , getting the chains all snugged up, but other buddy backs the damn truck up too far and the piece of shit gets stuck then and there, so we rig both cars up to it with about 4 feet of chain each, and kinda sorta coordinate an effort. Got 10 tires spinning (both cars are 4wd, truck is rwd), and a guy pushing, manage to get the truck free. Fight with the rest for hours before we call up another guy who we knew would love this situation, he brings his big lifted 4x4 blazer and saves us. Was a hell of a time. All went out for a drink after that
That moment you find an old video and wonder why the quality is so terrible only to realize it's from before 2010 when videos on the internet not only sucked but we just went with it.
I loved it!! If someone had just brought along a case of beer, y'all would have had the perfect excuse for a men's day out! Except for the guy with the ex. Loved the Hutterite addition!!! I married the granddaughter of a Hutterite. Yeah, her maiden name was Hofer.
+Meg Rempel ah cool your grandpa was a Country fan of Canadian music - he and I would agree some great stuff I'm sure I like Corb a lot and Tim Hus, but will check out Paul's music In UK song get my country fix on here mostly
I swear that the ghosts of Hank Williams and Woody Gutherie are behind this guy - love the line about the GMO seed. More excellent Canadian songwriting. Thanks loose for the posting. Love it.
Thomas Christopher I mostly like old classic stuff like Hank and Loretta and George Jones.....now that was country music.....:) Best line ever.....Cause that man of mine when he picks up trash he puts it in a garbage can.......lol
Best. Song. Ever. That year in Alberta was brutal. I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say they've experienced that song in real life! Hell, we eventually brought in a Bobcat to haul us out of that mess!
This is about a specific year?? Please tell that story. I assume this is just everyday summer life for the farmers in southern Alberta. Waiting anxiously ....
@@shanemcassey7152 Alberta rainfall in the spring/summer of 2004 was nearly double the average precipitation for the entire year. It felt even more crazy because we had been experiencing drought in the years coming up to it. A lot of farmers had to apply for disaster relief due to the fields being too wet to plant/grow/harvest (depending where you were).
A friend on FACEBOOK just referred me to this video because my own Ford F-150 four wheel drive pickup truck got stuck in the mud yesterday, due to all the rain soaking the ground more than usual. Just like the guy singing the song, I also wear a Cavalry stetson, because I actually served in the Cavalry.
Love the song..it is really somehow...inspirational for us in the northeast.... me anyways. Been listenin', and wonderin... did you, perchance... ever hear Johnny Cash doin' "one piece at a time" ? I hear a bit o' that in your prairie mudfest masterpiece. You guys are great!
I hear alittle Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues by Todd Snider. Same kind of style. This song is great too!! At least somebody is still making great music!!
You know, I've known this song for years, commented on this video before, and watched this hundreds of times and just seen the Quadtrac in the background tonight for the first time. Sure that's the easy way, But that would be cheatin' hahaha
