Is came to say the exact same thing. Thank you very much for the great review I now know what I want to look for for myself my passenger, Has enough cushion 😅
Anyone who says "comfort of the ass" in a motorcycle seat review is 100% genuine and can be trusted beyond all other reviews. Thanks again for a great & straight forward video of exactly what we all want to know.
Thank you Adam! 🙏 I'm glad you found it helpful brother. Truth be told, my heart wanted the mustang to win, and I thought it would hands down, but that wasn't the case for me personally.... Maybe it is the total seat time per day...
Excellent video Gus: the comparison segments going back and forth showing each seat, your position, etc.- fantastic! I wish more comparison videos used that technique. Some try to, but only do it once. When you gave us the opportunity to see them over and over, I had the chance to look at different things to compare. The skills you've utilised as a videographer throughout the videos you've produced have helped me more than once. Thanks for all you're doing!
Great Job Gus! Thanks for the info. Before I picked up my bike I had a local guy add 2" of padding as my hip flexors could not deal with the stock seat position. I have since added the T-Rex forward controls and after some time realized they still "splayed" me out and it was causing problems. Dropped a boatload of cash and got the DePretto controls and this helped quite a bit. Added a new smaller air hawk, but found it didn't help much. Pulled the trigger and got the mustang seat and it was like I was back on the stock seat, I couldn't hardly get my feet up on the pegs. Added my original large air hawk and stuck the new smaller one inside to get more "elevation". This worked for me. But....two pads on a $380 seat really seemed like a waste of money. I just returned the Mustang seat. Over the winter, I will learn a new skill. "How to modify/rebuild a motorcycle seat". If that doesn't work well, then I guess I will once again throw a boatload of money at a Corbin seat. Thanks for the great video!
Hi Jon! I feel your pain brother! You will find that adding more correctly shaped cushion to elevate you, will make a significant difference in comfort. I love the rebel too much to give up on it, hence why I invested so much time and money to get it to fit me.
Great review of the seats! Thank you for taking the time! I took your advice and went with the corbin front and the mustang rear seat which as you said tremendously improved comfort! The only thing I miss are the helmet hooks that were on the bottom of the stock seat--apparently, I'm the only one on the Internet that used them, since no else finds that to be a problem. And I haven't found a fix that doesn't involve adding more keys to my keychain.
Hi Ben, i'm so happy that the seats suited you lie they did me, thank you for sharing your feedback as this will help many owners in the future!! I thought i would use the helmet lock more often, but my helmets don't have the D ring, so i didn't end up missing the helmet lock....
thank you very much for this valuable comparison you did, you spent money, time and effort doing them for others to benefit from your experience, appreciate that. good luck my friend 🇸🇦
Hi Marcin, I'm glad to hear that brother! The Corbin is the way to go if you are taller! Pricey but so well worth it! Since this video I've done several multi thousand mile tours, you will not regret your investment! My most recent trip was 12 days long! 👍
As always, excellent instructions. I never get actual pain, but my butt does need to be shifted off to one side every 15-20 minutes after the first hour or so of riding, then every 5-10 minutes. I used a stock forward seat, but I'm only 5'4". Also, I think that wider pillion seat is a good idea. My wife does not like the stock passenger seat, but a high rise sissy bar allows her to lean back a bit and made a huge difference. Again, thanks for the good work.
Thank you Ron! 🙏 I should have mentioned how each progressive hour of riding, the discomfort and pain start to be felt in shorter times as you noted, not to mention the tail bone pain I would the next day.....
I'm always so blown away by all the amazing content you've uploaded and your infectious passion for this bike and this one really knocks it out of the park! When many will make recommendations on the one thing they bought that's better than stock, you actually have an explored and informed opinion that makes for a real review and recommendations... on many levels. That's extremely helpful. Thanks again, my friend! Now I'm getting stuck on deciding which colors for the Corbin since it will most likely be her forever seat. Yeah... I kind of have commitment issues...
Always so refreshing to read your comments brother, thank you for your kind words of encouragement!! It seems that i also have commitment issues hahhaha, love this bike, it means more to me than one could express as it brought me back to riding again, 10 years away is a long time!
I've watched this video a few times, while trying to figure out which seat I want to end up with. I think I'll end up with the Mustang Seat for myself. Thank you again for your wonderful channel. Also, if you still have that Mustang and wanna part with it, I know a guy buying one...!!
Hi Richard! I'm very happy to hear that you are finding the videos helpful, thank you for your kind feedback! I will definitely let you know if I end up parting with the mustang 👍
Thanks for the video!!! I also ended up going with a Corbin. I knew this video was coming but I decided the best must be the best for a reason and placed the order. The stock seat was so terrible, if this seat didn't fix my discomfort, > I was going to sell the bike
Thank you for this awesome write up locum! Please share the link to your post so that people will use it to make their own decisions about which seat might work best for their riding style. 440 mile ride, I'm jealous 🤣🤣
@@ontherebel11 Thanks! It was a great ride, one of the last nice/warm days here in Wisconsin, an unseasonably warm 75 out. As they say, Winter is coming. Had a blast!
Excellent tutorial Gus. Thank you for all the effort you put in to show us your great bike with different setups. I always learn something from watching your videos. (You look a little different than I expected... ) 😋 Peace and safe riding.
As a cyclist and biker myself, I understand the importance of choosing a comfortable saddle. It is essential for cyclists, especially those who ride for extended periods or participate in races, to find a saddle that suits their needs at very early stage. I agree with all the points you mentioned in your video. Additionally, it's worth noting that women tend to have wider sit bones compared to men. Therefore, what may be comfortable for women may not be the same for men. As a man, it is crucial to consider a saddle that not only supports your buttocks but also has a slimmer or tapered downward nose. This design helps reduce pressure on your inner thighs, preventing the blockage of blood flow and discomfort during longer rides. This is particularly true for shorter riders when your legs are tightly hugging the saddle, the numbness on your inner thighs will quickly build up due to the reduced blood flow. Therefore, it is essential to find a saddle that takes these factors into account for a more enjoyable riding experience. Have a comfy ride!!
Fantastic overview and a lot of info Gus on seat selection. I myself is still debating on what to get. I just had a conversation with my brother-in-law Today on the CORBIN SEAT . Cheers and thanks always for putting out such informative videos. You Rock !
Not long after purchasing the rebel (about the time this video came out) I watched and my brain said, "hmmm that's interesting". As a new rider, with the rebel being my first bike, I had no idea what was normal or comfortable or just me adjusting to riding a motorcycle. The factory seat did feel a bit off so I purchased the forward rider seat and I love the way it sort of locked me into the bike but I was still squirming after an hour of riding. Last week, having forgotten this fine video existed and with another weekend of moto-camping ahead, I purchased the air hawk. I feel a bit silly now that I've watched again because, yes, for the first day I did feel a bit like an air hockey puck slipping around. I got used to the slipping sensation but still not much relief. Well this has been a very long winded comment to say, my brain really enjoys your videos but it was my boney ass that brought me back here to re-watch and say thanks for the detailed review... I have a Corbin on order.
I'm looking at picking one of these up in December from the dealership and your videos are perfect! You are the exact same size as me and have videos about all the same mods I was interested in so that makes my life much easier when it comes time to purchase and install them! Not to mention how high quality and easy to follow all your videos are. Seriously much appreciated!
I'm glad you found the best seat for you. Seeing what Burch and the Patreon member went through with Corbin I personally will not be even considering them. Do what is best for you right? My fiancé and I agree on one thing though, we're replacing that stock seat ASAP because literally everyone says they are hot garbage. Keep on putting miles on that badass bike, have fun and as always be safe.
Wow, you're really killing it! GREAT review. Must have cost a fortune buying them all. At least installing them was no pain in the a** and so is riding with the corbin. I wonder wether the cup shape comes with a rather stiff foam and how much braking in will change that.
Hi Lari, it's great to hear from you! Thank you for your kind words! 🙏 The Corbin is deceiving... It is hard foam but because of the additional support, no discomfort or pain is felt, it totally surprised me as I was rooting for the mustang to be completely honest. When ordering, Corbin will customize the foam and shape to your requirements, they gave me additional tail bone relief based on my request. I also know they put softer foam for some of the female riders. Let me know if you have any questions Lari 👍
@@ontherebel11 Very intresting! I didn"t know they could do it with different foams. As I assume you got the hardest I wonder wether it still adds comfort to the shocks, sort of softening the road bumps a little. This is a little grape I have with my Rebel. I even reduced the tire pressure wich actually helped a bit. Not with the gas milage nor with the sporty ride of corse.
Great review Gustavo. I have the Mustang seat and can only compare it to the stock seat. The Mustang is a huge improvement in terms of comfort and ergonomics. Was considering the Corbin but at the time of purchase it was way more expensive and there was at least a two month waiting time. This video should be beneficial to anyone trying to decide which seat may be the best choice for their own personal comfort. 👍😎
Hi William! Yes sir, the mustang is night and day difference to the stock seat! In my heart I was convinced that the mustang was the one for me.... Unfortunately I was wrong.... I still love the mustang, hence why I am still holding on to it
I’ve owned the Rebel 500 and now 1100, the Corbin is by far the best seat I’ve used. My commute to work is about an hour and when I go for a ride I’m usually on the road for 4-5 hours minimum. It just supports me far better than the mustang ever did. I also love how customizable the Corbin is. You can choose from many different finishes to different kinds of leather. Definitely a worth while investment.
Hi Gary, thank you for your kind words of encouragement brother!!! the Corbin is well worth it brother, it gives me comfort to know i have it as i ride pain free on my long trips.
I really like your videos. You are very thorough. I will be getting the rebel 500 in 2 months and doing post ownership research and you have been very helpful so far. Thanks!
Great overview and some useful insight. I just came across your channel and I'm happy to support you and other fellow motovloggers. Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you. Ride safe, out there my great friend ...
Ho Mike, thank you for your kind comment sir, i sincerely appreciate it!!! Just got back from a 1,300 mile trip and the Corbin did exceptionally well once again!
Hi Brent! Yes sir, I still love my mustang! But I had to be honest with myself..... When I know I am going on a long ride, instinctively I gravitate to the Corbin...... Sad but true
great vid and so far i find the extra thick oem seat with 25 mm extra padding not so bad but i havent done any very long distance rides yet, thinking about getting a gel pad for longer trips.
Thank you Exeterinterception, great to hear from you!!! Some owners have reported good results with adding gel pads, it will be much cheaper than buying the Corbin and could be done. Some owners have shared their experience on the rebel 1100 world facebook group, i recommend that you join if you haven't, lots of great information there!
Great video! I bought the Corbin dual because I wanted to use my Corbin adjustable backrest . The Corbin solo can not use the Corbin backrest. That said I am ordering the Solo Corbin as well just so I can change up the look of the 1100T
Agradezco tus comentarios y ánimos, ¡gracias Toni!
Thank you so much for this video! I've heard that the Corbin wasn't easy to install/take off quickly, but your video showed that it's just like the OEM seat? As a 5'11" rider I'm now seriously considering the Corbin again!
Hi there. Watched LifeOfBurch video on his Corbin seat and the damage it does to paint which will lead to rust & the cost of the seat by its self. The one thing that stood out was was how lousy the customer service was with Corbin. Not sure if I want to give up a little discomfort for the head ache that will follow. Was wanting your thoughts on that. Thanks for your videos on diy. Saved me a lot $$.
Hi Kenneth! i'm happy you found it helpful! In my experience the customer service was alright, i honestly can't complain, they guided me on how to order and i was very happy with the quality.
thank you for reviewing the mustang passenger seat. ive been trying to find a good seat for my passengers for the somewhat longer rides. all my passengers come with different butt shapes so half dont like that stock passenger seat lol the wider mustang one looks great and looks like it feels comfortable
I'm happy to hear that you found the presentation helpful! Yes, the mustang passenger seat is a must for the comfort of your passenger, it makes a huge difference! Huge!
Just the video I needed. I’ve been debating a Corbin for awhile but I’ve seen some conflicting info about whether it moves you forward or back. Think I’m ready to pull the trigger now.
Hi Peter! I'm happy that you found it helpful brother, I went through the same thing when researching seats, I know your frustration well, that's what motivated me to share my expensive lesson 😅
I have the Corbin Dual Tour and I had the luxury of riding into the Corbin factory and having it custom-fit. It's very comfortable! But I kind of agree with you about the looks. And it bolts to the rear fender, so you lose the ability to easily remove the seat. ...and if you don't add some padding under the metal bits, it will scuff your paint! I'm working on addressing the cosmetics with a sort of cap that covers the passenger seat and makes it look like a "gunfighter" style seat. Additionally, I hope to change out the bolt in the back to make it easier to remove. We'll see how that goes. I think Honda really messed up with the stock seat. Maybe it was fine for the smaller Rebels, but the acceleration on 1100 just drove my tailbone directly into the big metal bar at the back and gave a feeling of slipping off. Of course, I'm 6'0" and 280lbs, so maybe it just wasn't made for my size.
Thank you for sharing your experience Richard, this will be very helpful to others! I forgot to mention that the dual will make you lose the ease of accessing the storage..... Thank you for pointing that out. 🙏
thank you for the effort you put into making this detailed video. Keep making it. I wanna confirm something. Does rebel 500 also has the passenger seat? Or do we have to install it by ourselves? The passenger footpeg is there from the beginning or do we have to buy and install?
Thank you for your kind feedback!! I have seen 500s with the seat and pegs, but i don't think they come as standard in the states, maybe they do in other countries.
mustang seat is great but you are lucky yours is easy to put on… they must have improved it… corbin looks best (on all bikes) amazingly detailed review - you are the new dave moss of seats!!! good job G!
Congratulations Peter! That is a wise choice my friend, you will be so much more comfortable! Perhaps some rox risers to be even more comfortable. Probably 2 inches
At 5'10 ¹/² with 32" inseam, I barely find the T-Rex forward controls help. It is way better than the stock but wish the T-Rex were 2" farther out. They are well made and easy to install. Just FYI.
@@ontherebel11 yeah I’ve had a few for my gold wings and Harley’s. I’ve tried a lot of them and it can take some time getting them to Ireland. The Corbin seats always work best for me. They are firmer but they break in great if you give them time. I do like the saddleman Seats as well but overall I’d probably always have a Corbin.
Where can I order a Mustang seat? Love all your reviews! I bought a rebel 1100 a year ago and your videos have been awesome with the maintenance of my motorcycle. Thanks Gus!
Hi Jag!! I just double checked and it seems that Dennis Kirk has a few in stock! www.denniskirk.com/mustang-seats/black-tripper-seat-84000.p4502469.prd/4502469.sku?cid=17923638713&gclid=CjwKCAjwiOCgBhAgEiwAjv5whBWwylbuBB0bRUqcC2ejzCSmHq-PMsV0GoOdA-HEVr0oqgKWbasxBRoCbPIQAvD_BwE I'm very happy to hear that you are finding the videos helpful brother, it makes it all worth it my friend!
It's weird with that stock seat. I am tall at 6'4", 194 cm, and 95 kg. I ride for 10-12 hours on the stock seat without discomfort. On the 500, I had the seat upholstered and a gel pack added, but I was honestly fine on that one too :)
First, let me thank you for the informative videos you’ve been uploading. As for the seat, I am trying not to rush the purchase as I don’t know how many more miles it will take to break in the seat with my weight, whether it will feel more comfortable with time or not.
This video has been very useful. Not much videos consider th3e POV of the passenger. Also I have seen there is a trend to makes these new bikes Solo rider. But I ride always with a passenger. and We are small, we do not need like a 1700CC bike, but there is not much options in the middleweight cruisers for comfortable seats for passengers. BTW i ride a Vulcan 900 Custom. But I want to upgrade and the Rebel 1100 could be a good option, using the Mustang passenger seat> thanks!
Thank you very much for your feedback! I had also wondered about riding with a passenger but couldn't find any information.... With the mustang passenger seat we could tour endlessly! And the bikes handles the weight so well and doesn't affect its performance in the twisties! 👍
Great video and an excellent review. Very informative! So I am considering between the mustang and Corbin as well and after watching this I think the mustang will suit me better! I am 5’3 and weigh around 110 lbs, so pretty lean. Would you agree ? Please let me know. The purpose is long distance touring and comfort.
In the LifeofBurch video, he tried out the Corbin seat on his Rebel and noted that the Corbin seat scratched the paint on his Rebel. Has anyone else had the same experience with the Corbin seat scratching their paint? I'd like to get the Corbin, but if it's going to scratch the paint, I'm going with the Mustang. Thanks for any input that can help me make this decision.
Hi Pei, in all honesty I have seen other owners with scratches on the frame due to the Corbin, personally I have one spot on the frame that is due to one of the rivets rubbing on the frame. An easy fix is to protect the area if need be.
I just can,'t buy your discomfort with the stock seat after 20 minutes claim, it seems a bit ridiculous considering I ride my 300 with the stock seat for about an hour or two before discomfort sets in and I'm a big guy standing at 6'1" around 240 lbs but thank you for the review, I'll be picking up a Corbin or Mustang regardless.
Amazing review. I'm leaning toward Corbin but I don't have risers on my bike (I have the 2" in garage but haven't got up the nerve to put them on with some complications I've seen online) and I'm 5'9 so I'm worried the Corbin will push me too far back.
Thank you Kris! The Corbin will push you back a little, but depending on how long each ride is, you might not feel a big difference. Ask yourself how long you intend on keeping the rebel, if you plan on keeping it for a few years, it is in your interest to get the Corbin, as it will set you up to be the most comfortable when you decide to add the risers in the future. Remember, the ultimate comfort is when your back is perfectly vertical in addition to the right seat. It's a tough pill to swallow, but well worth it if you ride for extended periods of time frequently. 🤙
I had the same leak, too. Luckily, the dealership covered it. But they said it was a stator plug and it was close to $350. Of course the warranty covered it. I only bought the warranty because it's a DCT system. Not many bike shops know how to work on these. These mofos will rip you off if you don't have a warranty. The other thing is I've done everything to address the high speed front end wobble costing me 2k from the dealership and it's still doing the same thing. They say their is nothing wrong with the bike and it's not a manufacturering issue. I am turned off and it may be the last time I buy another Honda.
Hi David, I'm glad that they covered the leak under warranty man! The wobble was dramatically reduced for me when I increased preload and changed tires. 👍
I just took my longest ride yet, about 8 hours. With my upgraded seat I had some discomfort but never pain. I wonder: how long of a trip have you done in one stretch with that Corbin? Because if you have no discomfort at all, the price seems worth it.
Congratulations man!! I've done multiple +14 hour days with the corbin, no way i could do it on the oem seat... worth every penny and more! I tour quite a bit, i'm at 30,000 miles, so the corbin was a must!
Thanks! The only thing missing from perfection is that you and your passenger haven't tried the dual Corbin saddle, it would be interesting to know what the passenger thinks of the comfort regardless of not liking the saddle. 🙂 Because I'm about to buy a dual Corbin saddle, even with electric heating :-D But you're right that your combination probably looks better.
@@ontherebel11 I'm watching your video again. I can't say I don't like the Corbin dual seat, but I did find a video of the owner showing how the Corbin dual seat damaged his fender. And now I don't know. :-) By the way - your "brown and black" version isn't bad at all. You can't actually see the black on the back, it looks like the solo version :-)
Hi Jiri! Thanks for the update brother! If I had the means I would have liked to try the Corbin dual with backrests.... In the winter I prefer to ride alone, so I don't have the mustang passenger seat on at the moment. Fyi, in person the mustang just looks so sexy tbh!
@@ontherebel11 Hi, thanks for the answer. I am still considering buying a dual Corbin, even with electric heating. But I found some videos where people complain that the seats destroy the fender and frame behind the front seat. Plus, Corbin doesn't communicate - their dealership doesn't exist here, and they don't respond at all to requests from the form on their website for the nearest dealer. So I don't know... :-D
@@jiriberanek791 hi Jiri! I've seen evidence of the Corbin scratching the frame, even mine is starting to put a small scratch on the frame... It is one of the rivets that attaches the leather to the seat that is making contact with the frame... Sometimes it's difficult to get a response via email, I had better luck with calling them directly if that is an option you can consider
Hello thank you for all your wonderful videos. I fell in love with that Corbin seat and went as far as to go to Corbin site to order one. However the part number you show "H-REB-11-21-S is there but the stitching is linear and not criss cross diamond looking like yours. Am I missing something on the "design it" tool on their website? Any tips?
Thank you! I'm very happy to hear that you find it useful! When you place the order you can specify in the notes that you want diamond stitching, I also followed up with a call to make sure that they understood what I wanted. 🤙
Hi Mike, I'm 5'7 on a good day 🤣. Depending on how you intend to use your bike, short rides vs all day rides. The Corbin will suit you better for long rides.
@@ontherebel11 Ok, My rides are generally 2 to 3 hours but I start to feel serious back pain after about an hour, so I need to do something so I can enjoy these rides better. I appreciate all the time you put into the comparisons.
@@rebelyell59 no worries Mike, please keep in mind that the back pain could be due to the forward lean to the bars, I had the same problem and my back pain went away when I fixed the riding position by adding pivoting risers that brought the bars a few inches closer to me.
Do you have a sense of measurement for how much the seats raised you over the stock seat? I'm mainly interested in that for the Corbin and mustang. Edit: just saw that you said the Corbin would raise 1/4 inch to .5 inch. Do you know about the mustang? Sorry if I missed it in the video.
Thanks for the awesome comparison video...very instructive. I have been using the forward seat for everyday riding and the stock seat + air cushion pad (bought on Amazon) for interstate rides. After multi-500+ mile rides, the air cushion add-on is fairly good for comfort as it has ties that hold it to the seat. So may be an option for riders who want to limit the budget. I thought I was good with my seat setup but after seeing your video I'm definitely tempted with the mustang seat as I like the styling. Does the mustang seat put you forward as much as the OEM forward seat?
Hi John, yes sir i rode with the airhawk for a few thousand miles as well, excellent choice! The mustang might put you half an inch rearward, but not noticeable and definitely worth it!
Hi, Thank you for all of the very informative videos, very helpful. Question does the mustang seat raise the seat height? I hope it does, I'm looking for forward and higher. I have the stock forward seat with an air cushion and sheepskin, overall much better but would like a bit more height, I'm 5'-5", 29" inseam, my hips lock up.
Hi Lea! Thank you for stopping by! I didn't feel like the mustang raised me at all, maybe a tiny bit? I understand your point and realized that sitting higher certainly improves comfort. During the testing and switching back an forth between seats, my legs and hips really appreciated the extra height of the Corbin, amazing what an inch or two makes in difference!
I just went to an upholstery guy, and he suggested mounting 1" of medium density foam on top of the existing foam. Do you have any experience with that, instead of putting relief channels in the existing foam?
Hi Anthony, that's a project I would like to once and for all tackle.... A direct install isn't available in the market, but I have talked with a local shop to work with me in developing a mount.... Easier said than done brother... I'll do my best to take this project on this winter... Fingers crossed
What seat treated your tailbone the best. For me I’m only doing short rides (1-2 hours/150-200 miles) after I ride now (OE seat) my tailbone hurts something horrible. Maybe I need to look at the mustang seat.
Hi Kent! Great question brother! I suffered a great deal with tailbone pain.... The corbin with Tailbone relief has worked the best for me out of everything i have experimented with. Sadly the mustang caused similar tailbone pain as the oem seat did, but the onset of pain was delayed compared to the oem seat. It might be different for you though as each body is unique.
Another great video of yours I happen to come across. Impressive work as usual!! Short question about the Corbin seat. It has a nice diamond stitching in your video, but I could not find such a model on their website, nor it was possible to choose this stitching using their online seat configurator. The only single seat model available is the classic solo seat and it looks different. Any ideas? Did you order a custom design seat or am I missing something? Have a great day!
Great to hear from you Aleksander! Thank you for always encouraging me my friend! 🙏 I called them or emailed them regarding the diamond stitching, as well as asking them for tailbone relief. I'm on a 5,000 km trip right now and there is no way I could have done it without the Corbin! 👌
@@ontherebel11 Ahh, just as I thought, thanks! Have a great trip, friend! Btw do you ride with the gustafsson windshield? Currently waiting for a reply if they could make one with a custom height and will order their windshield even if they don't offer custom heigths. Should be a huge improvement compared to the original batwing anyway.
By the way Gustafsson just confirmed they would be glad to make a custom height windshield. Great news. Now I'm also considering Corbin solo seat, but its moving the rider backwards feature really frustrates me. I'm reaching for the handlebars even with the original seat despite being 6 feet tall / regular arms lenght (about 22.5 inches armpit to wrist). Hate the idea of having to lean forward even more with Corbin. Getting handlebar risers with the offset, but pretty moderate numbers (30mm rise, 20mm offset), not sure this would be enough to compensate... meh :(
@@aleksander767 that's fantastic news Aleksander! Thank you so much for sharing! Fyi, you can have Corbin custom make it to your specs, best to give them a call if possible, before the riding season begins. 🤙
@@ontherebel11 Indeed they can do it. Do you think the main features of their seat, that make it more comfortable than the competition, would be the added width/height? I mean if it won't move you backwards you would basically still get the benefits, but at the same time have easier reach for the handlebars, would you?
I like how matter of fact this review is, however I wish you had shown the Corbin passenger seat as well. I guess you probably didn't buy it, though, if you though it was hideous.
Such a happy ass! For me being shorter, I have the movement you don't have in the Mustang so for me the Mustang, while I only sat on the Corbin, I have been really happy with the way the Mustang broke in. My ass iss happy in the Mustang.
I still love the mustang! I can't let it go tbh! I often alternate between the two, but instinctively I gravitate to the Corbin when I'm going on a long trip....
Hi Samuel! Here is a Playlist to help you along your journey with pivoting risers Rebel 1100 Risers installation: ru-vid.com/group/PLBCveCYUrwZ0b-G7LyvNWs-MlOw0FW5PR
Thanks for the review! I have tried the OEM, reupholstered OEM, and finally the Corbin solo seat. at 5'10" The Corbin has been the best. I am however still struggling with riding over 200 miles a day at interstate speeds 80 - 85mph. I have the OEM batwing fairing, but pretty much everything else is stock. I plan on making a long trip next year and hopefully doing it in 2 - 500 mile days. I'm looking into 3 inch bar risers and forward controls to help, but I'm worried about wind still being an issue. Do you have any problems with the OEM fairing/wind after installing your bar risers?
Hi Nostrebor03, I'm happy to hear that we came to the same conclusion! I have the batwing with 4 inch risers without any issues at all! Regarding long distance, I ended up making my own screen to fit the batwing, I took it on a 1,500 mile trip in May, 560 miles on day one and another 560 miles on day on the interstate at speeds over 85mph, it's amazing how much of a difference a taller screen makes! Here's a video to give you an idea if you can't find a screen to fit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rlPkkPnXUyM.html
